Please describe your company and your position there.

Position: Operations director Company: Zoofest is a comedy festival operating during 18 days across downtown Montreal. We produce over 150 bilingual shows and for the last 11 years have brought forward the next generations of comedians. Zoofest has over 130 000 festival goers every year and is a property of the Just for Laughs Group.


For what projects/services did your company hire SHIFT AGENCY?

We were looking to create a stronger positionning of the festival online through all platforms and create strong online presence.

What were your goals for this project?

Shift agency was hired to produce a campaign:

  • Improving our SEO and SEM
  • create social media marketing campaigns to imprive the festival positionning, increase online pass and ticket sales,generate ad-click, create backlinks, article sourcing, analyse keywords, create wikipedia, Google My business, Bing, and over all optimize our visibility on the internet.

How did you select this vendor?

As part of our mission, Zoofest celebrates up and coming talent by doing business with young firms. Shift's website showed flexibility, thoughrough comprehension of the entertainment market and the fleeting festival shell life. They interacted and consumed social media like our target audience, which made them symbiotic to our operations and goals.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We held a number of meeting to allow them to understand the nature of the tasks at hand. they took time to study the festival, our interactions with our customers and our calendar of actions. Never hesitated to ask questions and respected both budgets and deadlines without any problems. they were invested and brainstormed with us and our interns whenever they could.

Their ideas were considered and often extended into other departments, creating synergy and fluidity in our marketing strategy. They would receive their tasks, produce the calendar, content, review with us the component, and post. All was moved forward accordingly in using the communication channels properly.

What was the team composition?

A team of three: web developer, social marketing, and a video producer.

Improvement of the bounce rate: 77% Total sessions: 183 000 Traffic by social media marketing was at an all time high of 50%

Very efficient. Communication was 100% open between all members, at all times and common work tools were set in place quickly to keep everyone updated.
