What challenge were you trying to address with Sell Staged?
We needed help with custom system development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Sell Staged worked remotely doing the frontend design and development of our standard compliance monitoring system. We provided them with a detailed PowerPoint presentation and some Excel spreadsheets on the fields that we required for our business.
We’re now looking to work with them in the backend design.
What is the team composition?
One front-end designer is working with us.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our company is developing an app in the digital gift cards space. It includes a web app and a hybrid mobile app.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sell Staged?
The co-founders come from a non-design and non-tech background and the biggest issue was how to get a sketch or design of our platform. We approached Sell Staged to build the first UI/UX design draft of our app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The main goal of the project was to design the UX of our app and implement a very basic UI for the entire platform. They designed nearly 36 screens.
What is the team composition?
I only worked with Farhad (Product Manager). However, there were many people working with him.
How did you come to work with Sell Staged?
We posted a request on Upwork, so Sell Staged was one of the companies that applied for the job. We picked them based on their past experience with UI/UX design projects. Since we weren’t looking for a full-fledged UI/UX design and given that we were also a startup, Sell Staged offered a reasonable price to us.
They were also new, and the value and benefit that we could gain from each other were great. Sell Staged also had an incredible portfolio out of all the applicants, and they just fit our criteria.
We also felt that Farhad had sufficient knowledge in the field, both as a UI/UX designer and someone who had experience in frontend design and development. As a result, we thought he would be a very good candidate to understand our picture and put it in a format that we could go to speak to developers well.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $500.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February 2021–March 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They helped us get the first draft of our UI/UX design. If I was benchmarking against our expectations, I’d say they perfectly met them. They were able to translate our ideas into the screens. We were quite satisfied with their services and we couldn’t expect them to do anything more than that.
How did Sell Staged perform from a project management standpoint?
Our communication was perfect, and they met all our deadlines. They went above and beyond their duties, especially during moments when we added some things on the scope after looking at certain screens. We had no complaints about their service. When we communicated with them through text and email, they were quite responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It was impressive that they were able to understand us even if we came from a non-tech and non-design background. We were also impressed that they looked at our competition.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the middle of the designing process, we discovered certain elements and gave our feedback to Farhad. Everything was a learning process for us. I’d say the frustration would’ve been more on their side since they needed to decode what we had in our minds.
Additionally, their style of design didn’t strike a chord with me, but that was not part of the project’s expectations. When it came to evaluating designs, it could be very subjective and could differ from person to person. However, I’d like to emphasize that it wasn’t a deal-breaker, and we were quite happy with the project’s outcome.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If they’re someone like me who wants to get a sketch done for an initial startup application, I’d definitely recommend Sell Staged.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sell Staged, and what were your goals?
Our company required an internal custom CRM system for sales team to be able to log their meeting notes keep track of our clients. Another challenges that our team was dealing with was related to stock managment and bulk order processing.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
After posting a project on Upwork and Toptal and meeting with top agencies shortlisted, we found that Sell Staged is more qualified compare to other software developer companies and they showed a very inadept technical skills in website development with responsive framework.

The project was an internal web-based system that was very user friendly with React and Node.js frame work with very tight timeframe because of our internal auditing. One of the core feature of our internal system was the auding and analyzing data which helps us to find new business opportunity in the market to increase the revenue. Sell staged completed the project on time manage to exceed expectation

We worked with a product manager from Sell Staged team. The meeting we had with the product manager to provide feedback and add extra enhancement was weekly which helped a lot to make the project complete successfully. During our weekly meeting we had access to their lead designer and lead developer to discuss any challenges and new requirments.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The internal software that we have completed with Sell Staged team has already been requested to be used in other regions of Rawlplug. Based on the business needs and growth we are still working with Sell Staged to advance the reporting and update the website.

I have to say attention to details, especially on the data analytics side because majority of the ideas came from Sell Staged team which has been very useful.
