New York City Health - COVID-19
In 2020, when the global COVID-19 Pandemic hit, New York City, a 5-borough metropolis with over 8 million inhabitants, was one of the hardest-hit cities in the world. We have learned that when mixed with other illnesses, such as influenza or similar viruses, COVID-19 can be even deadlier than the disease on its own.
When SeedX was first engaged, there was a short timeline to plan a massive public health campaign that could result in tens or hundreds of thousands of saved lives. Knowing how populous and diverse the city is, we had a lot of work to do to make sure we could get individuals, especially those at the greatest risk for COVID-19 and/or an influenza infection, to receive their flu shot as soon as possible. We worked together with the city’s team to design a campaign that raised awareness about the importance of getting a flu shot, especially for vulnerable populations in New York City.
Facing such a diverse, populous city, it was important to utilize as many traditional and new media sources as possible including transit signage, outdoor billboards, television and radio placements, digital ads, social media, and more, and to ensure that the most widely-spoken languages were included in our campaign. Our global team was well-prepared to create media in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and more, ensuring we could get our messaging across to as many New Yorkers as possible.
Further, utilizing digital media, we were able to reach the 96% of New Yorkers who own smartphones. They would first see a geotargeted advertisement on Facebook, YouTube, or a similar platform, click through to find flu shots near them and register for an appointment.
Building out this system allowed us to create a scalable method to understand and leverage media spend to reach as many New Yorkers as possible.
We were able to educate New Yorkers and drive many of them to schedule appointments to get their flu shots. Our campaign received over 10 million impressions.

Building an Engaging Direct to Consumer Medical Brand
In 2011, leading neurologist and biochemist Dr. Lewis Clarke, founded Clarke Pharmaceuticals, a company focused on making natural supplements for injuries and diseases that do not currently have a cure, including neurological issues such as ALS, brain and spinal injuries, Alzheimer's Disease, and more.
Clarke Pharmaceuticals transform their patient's well-being with safe supplements; however, by only relying on B2B sales to grow they were missing out. When Clarke engaged SeedX, this was the problem we set out to solve - how could they get their life-changing supplements in the hands of more individuals? And in validating their product Neupanex, a supplement to help improve brain function, they needed help finding people for their studies.
SeedX helped Clarke BioScience find targeted individuals to participate in research studies to validate the effects of their supplement, Neupanex via online media buying, targeting, email marketing, and landing page optimization.
However, we did not stop there! SeedX helped Clarke establish a direct-to-consumer marketing strategy by rebranding their entire company.
Under a new, consumer-friendly name Clarke Bioscience, we remade their brand and website to be more informative and user-friendly to potential buyers. And with strategic digital advertising and email marketing to go with the website, we were able to increase their overall engagement and create a platform for Clarke BioScience to sell directly to customers.

Millennium Alliance Website Design, Development, and SalesForce Integration
Millennium Alliance came to SeedX in search of a new website solution. While they wanted to re-design their site to have a modern and futuristic feeling, they also wanted to be sensitive to their clients who are mostly traditional New York City corporations.
Additionally, at the time, Millennium Alliance was managing three separate websites: one marketing website, one events management platform, and one blogging site home to their publication the Digital Diary.
SeedX set out to:
1. Create a modern yet corporate comfortable website with a great design aesthetic on all devices.
2. Develop a website that can incorporate all elements of the three platforms Millennium Alliance relies on in one place.
3. Integrate SalesForce CRM and automate events, Digital Diary, and other internal tasks.
The Result
Since the new website launch, Millennium Alliance has saved thousands of hours by having one go to administrative panel and system to update all elements of their online presence.

Ithaca Milk Online Strategy and Website Creation
Ithaca Milk was started with the idea in mind that small scale, sustainable farming is possible in a modern farming landscape. The owners believe that the animals and the land that produce our food should be treated with respect, and managed with the living environment in mind.
Our task was to translate this ethos into a communicable message to online visitors. We set out to do the following:
1. Explain the intricate and natural process utilized by Ithaca Milk's farmers and milk, yogurt, and cheese producers.
2. Highlight the high-quality ingredients used in Ithaca Milk products.
3. Educate people about Ithaca Milk's farm life.
4. Finally, of course - show people where they can purchase the products!
The Result
In the end, we created an online experience that guides visitors through all of the important elements of Ithaca Milk's brand.
On the website, we show the process of creating the products in a hip and easy to follow way with cow spot-shaped photos. We also highlight the ingredients of each product in an easy to understand, aesthetically pleasing manner. There is a section that teaches you about the farm, the people who work there, and the animals who live there. Finally, the store finder- with Ithaca bottle pins- makes it easy to discover where you can buy Ithaca Milk products near you!

Pretty Well Beauty Branding + Custom E-Commerce Website
When the founder of Pretty Well Beauty approached us, she was looking for a reliable partner to bring her project to life: a clean beauty shopping experience, curated with the best, most eco-friendly and chemical free products on the market.
We felt that every aspect of the brand: the logo, web design, content, and social presence, should reflect this clean and positive lifestyle. We set out to accomplish the following:
1. Create a logo and brand that embodied the ethos of the brand.
2. Design and develop a website that is unique whilst still very easy to use for customers.
3. Pay attention to detail in product pages, content, and social to ensure we are educating consumers about the benefits of the products versus current commercial brands.
The Result
The final result is an effortlessly beautiful e-commerce store. There are many modern design attributes throughout the site, including a very unique navigation and blog experience, while still being incredibly easy to navigate and use. The product pages go into detail about the ingredients, benefits, and instructions of and for each item. We also showcase each brand and its mission prominently in a shop by brand section and on the actual product page.
In any industry but especially beauty, great content is a must - that's why we integrated PWB's gorgeous instagram feed and blog content directly on the site. Both platforms help to drive traffic to PWB and engage thousands each day.

Apricot Power Email Marketing and Lead Nurturing
When Apricot Power contacted us, we immediately saw a huge opportunity for them in the realm of e-mail marketing and lead nurturing.
The SeedX Team suggested and implemented the following:
1. An eye-catching engaging wheel game to capture leads' information for later email marketing.
2. A welcome series and other subscriber nurturing series to engage customers and encourage brand loyalty.
3. Weekly broadcast emails and campaigns to increase revenue and exposure.
The Result
The lead magnet captures 15% off all online traffic consistently, allowing for a constant new flow of consumers to enter into our email welcome series. Most will either purchase right upon receiving the first email, or become new customers by the fifth email touchpoint.

Dominique Cosmetics Social Media + Email Marketing
Dominique Cosmetics is a growing cosmetics line built by YouTube sensation and beauty entrepreneur, Christen Dominique.
When DC approached us, we immediately identified several areas in which we could leverage their audience to create more recurring revenue, brand loyalty, and engagement for the company:

Global Cannabis Coalition
The Global Cannabis Coalition (GCC) is an international organization that seeks to amplify the voices of individuals whose lives have been changed by using cannabis products. The community engages with each other via social media and in lobbying for pro-cannabis policy in the United States and in countries around the world.
The Global Cannabis Coalition approached SeedX with two goals. The first was to recruit members and grow their community within the highly-regulated online ad space for marijuana. The second was to drive those members to share their personal stories and submit videos, emails, and written petitions to policy-makers around the world.
Navigating the ad space for cannabis is not easy, but with our expertise, specific copy, and strategic placement, we were able to grow the GCC community at a viable cost. Beyond that, by re-engaging coalition members via email and social media channels, we drove thousands of actions to policy-makers around the world, impacting decision-makers in their approach to writing and ratifying pro-cannabis laws.
The GCC is now a growing and thriving organization that impacts policy in the US, South America, Asia, and Greater Europe.

Bees & Trees has an amazing product - small-batch, hive-to-jar New Zealand Manuka honey.
Never heard of Manuka honey? It's an amazing gift from nature that can support your immune system, encourage digestive health, and be used topically to treat acne, wounds, and even ear infections!
When we first met the Bees & Trees team, they were totally reliant on in-store/retail sales with few online customers. With an outdated website and little to no digital marketing strategy in place, they hired us to transform their web presence and grow their online revenue.
The first step in transforming Bees and Trees's online business was to create an educational, modern, and easy-to-use website with the consumer in mind.

For what projects/services did your company hire SeedX Inc., and what were your goals?
We had been disappointed by previous SEO work from a prior agency and were hoping to increase our website speed, traffic, and get the right people to our website. Our big goal was at least a 20% increase in loading speeds, a better mobile experience, and increased conversions.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We wanted to work with a female owned, diverse agency with fresh ideas and that is exactly what we got with SeedX. We also wanted to ensure that we would have great communication and they were overly communicative and listened from the get go.

The web project was to primarily work on increasing loading speeds based on our limitations with a themed WordPress site and to enhance the mobile experience. For SEO we agreed on 2 high quality blog posts per month on-going to increase web traffic and conversions.

We work primarily with their Marketing Project Manager but also communicate regularly with their Chief Strategy Officer and CEO.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The web project led to a 25% speed increase which is as high as we could have expected with our current set up and is better than expectations. Our mobile experience is also significantly improved. As for SEO we are still early in terms of tangible results but with both the web project and SEO we have seen about a 12% increase in web conversions and between 5-10% increase in web traffic. We are very pleased with the quality of the blog posts as well.

We communicate with our project manager primarily via email and biweekly meetings. He responds very quickly, is always timely, and communicates well.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I own Bees & Trees Mānuka Honey. We're a wholesaler and retailer of mānuka honey that we produce and package in New Zealand and then sell here in the US. We sell direct-to-consumer (D2C) over our website, and we also sell through a network of independent retailers.
What challenge were you trying to address with SeedX?
We were trying to increase the business we were getting from our website, so basically, our D2C business. We needed someone to help us connect with more consumers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
SeedX provides an entire suite of digital marketing services and web design. The first thing they did was assess our Shopify site in terms of SEO and design. The team came up with a complete redesign and created a new color palette. The team came up with a lot of ideas on how to better communicate through graphics and images. Aside from changing the look and feel, they also shot new product images and lifestyle images to bring our product to life instead of just relying on text.
Afterward, they moved on to email marketing, Facebook advertising, and SEO. Before moving forward with their marketing efforts, we had discussions about how the content we post will help us do better on search rankings and algorithms. The team conducted keyword research to identify the terms people use when they look for similar products. They then created content using those keywords to increase our search rankings. SeedX pretty much does that on their own, and then they share it with us so I can review the content we’re publishing. I sometimes make a couple of edits to make sure the information is correct, and then I approve it for publishing. The team then helps us organize the content on our site and share it through email marketing.
What is the team composition?
I work with three people. On a daily basis, I interface with Ty (VP of Business Solutions), who acts as our account manager and does our email marketing. I also coordinate with an ads manager and their CEO.
How did you come to work with SeedX?
I met Ty at a food show a few years ago. I talked to him about my product, and he became a big fan. When he started working at SeedX, he reached out to me and asked if we needed help. The timing was great because we had just decided to take our business to the next level. We liked what they pitched, so we gave them a try.
How much have you invested with them?
Our initial spend was $15,000 for the foundational work, like the website redesign and some of the SEO work. Since February, we’ve started spending $1,000 each month on email marketing, SEO, advertising, content creation, and so on.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The work SeedX has done adds a lot of value to our business. Quantitatively, we’ve increased our sales and web traffic. Our conversion rates are high, and the amount of income we’ve been getting on our site has been growing. The return on ad spend and the number of sales our newsletters have generated have been satisfactory. We feel that their digital marketing efforts are working. Qualitatively, we’ve gotten good feedback on the site’s look and feel and our email’s designs. Customers really appreciate how information is presented in the emails.
How did SeedX perform from a project management standpoint?
They do really well on project management — the team stays on schedule and delivers what they promised. We had regular meetings to talk about their progress. To review the content they created, we used Filestage, where they uploaded documents for us to comment on.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most pleased with how invested their team is in understanding our product — they were really excited about learning about mānuka honey. There was a lot of information that they had to digest to make sense of our company and how we produce, test, rate, and label the honey. SeedX has come up to speed quickly. Over the years, we’ve brought in other vendors, but they never took the time to learn about us, and I ended up developing the content. However, SeedX has done a great job with content. When I review it, it’s always at least 90% correct. They’re doing well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any specific suggestions for improvement. They’re doing a great job, and we’re delighted.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Stay close to the process and have good, frequent communication. Give the team feedback and input along the way so that your expectations are clear.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of development of On Your Mark. We are a nonprofit located on Staten Island, and we serve adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I'm responsible for all community relations, our social and digital media and marketing, grant writing, fundraising, events, and everything in between.
What challenge were you trying to address with SeedX Inc.?
When I came into the organization, my goal was to look at everything and try to digitize it. Our online presence was lacking, and our website was lackluster. We didn’t have a social media presence or campaign for marketing our events or fundraising. We were definitely in need of an expert to guide us through that new world that everybody is now living in.
What was the scope of their involvement?
SeedX Inc. is redoing our entire website, which has been incredible. They also helped us market our first virtual gala that we held at the beginning of May. They put together graphics and helped us with email marketing for that event. Not only that, but they also cleaned up and animated our logos. They sent us some really nice formats of the logos.
The biggest project is the website update, which has been tremendous — we're excited to get that launched, hopefully in the next couple of months. They’re currently creating each page, and I review them as they make design and formatting changes.
What is the team composition?
Miranda (Head Business Development) is our dedicated project coordinator. It was great because she had actually just started when I did, so we were navigating everything together.
Jacqueline (Founder) has been super involved in the project as well. There's also a number of designers and website developers that have worked on the project. I know they are using this project to train some new designers, so there are probably 7–10 people looking at it.
How did you come to work with SeedX Inc.?
Jacqueline and I grew up together. Our paths crossed a couple of times, and I saw that she was on the Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list on LinkedIn. I contacted her to say congratulations, and we started catching up. I mentioned what I was doing, and she told me about SeedX Inc. and how they were looking to take on a client pro bono. She thought that we would be a great fit, and it blossomed from there.
They made an entire communications audit for us where they delved into our problem areas and areas of improvement. They put together a thorough PowerPoint that highlighted what they could do for us and what our goals were in terms of expanding digitally. I didn't explore any other options because Jacqueline was so generous right from the start. It seemed like they were a really up-and-coming, fast-growing company, so we were more than happy to partner with them.
How much have you invested with them?
They took us on as a pro bono client, which is a testament to their work ethic and who they are as people and as a company in general. As a nonprofit, we appreciate their generosity so much.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2021, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven't launched the website, so I don’t have metrics to show. However, I am anticipating an increase across the board in terms of engagement, ease of use, and SEO. It's been a pleasure working with SeedX Inc. — they're so responsive. Their work is clean, cut and dry, and user-friendly.
How did SeedX Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via email. We use the Filestage platform to review any changes on the website. I get a notification when something's been updated, and I can either request changes or accept the design. I had a situation where I was lacking for a few weeks, and they just sent me gentle reminders via email — they've been wonderful at keeping everything moving.
Whenever I have a question, they're always responsive. They also take the time to meet with me, explain things, and go through all aspects of the work that they do. I'm really grateful for that because this is uncharted territory for me, so having their expertise and guidance whenever I ask for it has been really helpful.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This is my first experience working with a marketing and tech solution firm, but I can't imagine that I'd be provided with better customer service than what they've been providing me thus far. Their work is really nice. Having looked at the work and beautiful websites they’ve done for other companies, they really seem to know what they're doing.
They're fresh and new, and they bring a really great perspective to how the internet has been changing. They’re super knowledgeable about what works and what doesn’t. Not only that, but they focus on the psychology of a website and the UX, which is something I'd never thought about. I'm very grateful for their diligence and expertise in those areas.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any areas for improvement and haven't really identified anything too negative. Because this project is used to train new people, there have been some hiccups and things have taken a bit longer on the backend. However, we're not under a time crunch. I'm sure if we were, I'd maybe want things to move a little more quickly, but everything's been working in our favor.
Any advice for potential customers?
Come with a really clear idea about what you're looking for because they do offer a wide variety of services. Have your goals in mind — they want you to be really specific so that they can serve you as best as they can.
They had me fill out 3–4 goals mentioning what I wanted to happen with my company and what I was looking to do with the project. Having yourself and your company's goals prioritized would help them recognize what exactly they need to focus on.

I found SeedX through Thumbtack and spoke with several companies. However, it was their personal approach and vested interest in our business that ultimately helped me select them.

SeedX went ahead and redesigned my website, giving the site a much-updated look and feel. They also helped me understand the importance of using social media to attract business and offered ideas to pitch my business to customers. They made how-to videos for me to follow, providing me instructions for posting and blogging. I will always have these videos as a resource in the future.
What was the team composition?
I worked one-on-one with a member of their team (Jacqueline B.) and could not be happier. She really understood my concerns and also provided me with the confidence to build my business.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
SeedX has helped me grow my business tremendously while providing support and mentorship along the way. Starting with a limited social media and website presence, they have given me the tools to develop that aspect of my business, while improving a consistent message and look in all areas. Referrals and business have doubled since hiring SeedX. I highly recommend all of their marketing and social media services.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Everything was laid out effectively and communication and scheduling were seamless.

I just loved the personal approach and interest they took in my business. They were genuinely excited to help us find success.

I am the CEO of Zoe Organics, an organic skin care company in northern California.
For what projects/services did your company hire SeedX Inc.?
We hired SeedX to be our expert digital marketing team to focus on increasing our direct to consumer (DTC) sales. We have a very small team, and digital marketing seems to be changing faster than we have been able to keep up with. As a result, we have felt stuck.
What were your goals for this project?
Our primary goal is to focus on building our DTC business.
How did you select this vendor?
I receive sales emails all day long from companies offering their services and 99% of them get deleted. Jacqueline, from SeedX reached out with a personal, handwritten note that came through the mail. The thought she put into it really impressed me, enough to follow up with a call. She and I hit it off after that first conversation and I knew she was the right fit for Zoe Organics. It was important to me to work with someone who really understood what Zoe Organics was about and what made us "special". I was also really impressed with her expertise and her strategy—it was realistic and not built on a bunch of empty promises.

We began with several team meetings to get to know each other and the brand and talk about our goals. Rather than starting a whole bunch of projects at once, we decided to tackle one thing and build upon it in progression. The first was to tackle our email marketing. They have begun experimenting with social media ads as well.
What was the team composition?
I'm in regular contact with the founders of SeedX, as well as a lead designer on their team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We began working with SeedX during our slowest months of the year and we knew we were facing some challenges. However, we have definitely seen results from their work, and it is gaining momentum! Part of the process has been discovering what our roadblocks have been so we can tackle them and make the necessary changes. Both SeedX and Zoe Organics are committed to the long-term success of our partnership!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Effective communication is key, and we have been very happy with how our teams work together. SeedX is very responsive to emails, and our weekly calls are very productive. We have found tools that allow us to collaborate with ease.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The most important thing to me has been how personable and relatable the SeedX team is. Because of this, we are able to comfortably brainstorm and throw ideas back and forth, resulting in a really creative environment. When things don't go as planned, we are able to pivot and try something else. We are having fun!

They had done extraordinary work in the past so used again.

Basically, they had to add a new branch and the functionality of online applications and payments.
