Back a few years before engaging with Secomm - our website was a decade old and it looked it! We decided it was time to partner with a company to design and develop a new site for us! Unfortunately, we decided on a company whom talk a big game - but could not deliver a final product. It was 3 years out of my life I will never get back.
After 3 years of a painful incomplete project - I reached out to Ken from Secomm and the rest is history! Secomm were hired to provide specialized Magento experience such that they could take a half built website and complete it to our specifications within an agreeable time frame.

During previous engagements with Ken - I was impressed by his teams work and so I knew that he was a great option for me to move the web project onto.

The scope was to take the half built Magento 2 website that we had in development from another company and to finish it based on the specifications we had. Regarding technologies - there was Magento - but then we wanted so integrations to occur with the software we use within the office - SAP B1. So - the Secomm team needed to work with the SAP team to ensure that all integrations were working and remained working after go-live.
The first deliverable after starting working with Secomm was to ensure we go the website live. Next - we had a bunch of development tasks which needed to be actioned and now we are up to the 3rd iteration of development tasks.

During the ongoing project with Secomm in the efforts to get our website live - I was in contact with 4 staff members within Secomm. Project Manager, Tech Lead. QC Lead and Managing Director.

We identified an opportunity to launch our business model in the USA, but we identified that we needed a new stand alone e-commerce web-site in the US for this opportunity, and that is what we hired Secomm for.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
The key factor to selecting Secomm was that they had already built and modified our existing Australian and New Zealand Magento e-commerce web-sites, and done a magnificent job of that. We did get quotes from a few other vendors for this project, but those quotes weren't as competitive as Secomms quote.

We had an initial meeting with Secomm to discuss where we saw the opportunity for a USA e-commerce retailer that focuses on providing niche payment plan options for it's customers, and agreed upon the best way to get there that was within our budget.
Magento was identified as the right solution. A large part of the project was integrating Magento with multiple 3rd party integrations. All stakeholders were provided a project timeline by Secomm, which was updated daily. Secomm set up a staging site for the UAT process, and Secomm also managed all the hosting (AWS) and infrastructure set up.

We had a senior project manager and two developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were hoping to launch the USA web-site by June, but Secomm actually delivered the project early and we were able to launch in late April. There were no major issues that needed to be corrected with the web-site post deployment, and we achieved sales levels withing the first 3 months which were well above our forecasts.

As well as the shared excel project timeline document that we were following, Zoho was also used for communication between the parties on this project. We also had a Skype chat group that we used for this project. Any concerns that we raised throughout the journey were addressed in a timely manner.

I think the best thing about working with Secomm is how quickly that can respond to a change you would like to implement or to fix an error that you identify. Even when it came to us changing things on this project that weren't in the original scope, Secomm would talk that change through with us to identify the bedst way of handling it, and then implement that change in a timely manner.
