Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a project manager at Arpigroup, a Polish company focused on providing unique designs for interiors, buildings, and company identities.
What challenge were you trying to address with Score Digital?
We wanted to digitize our process, and we needed to build a custom-made ERP system.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We asked Score Digital to design the solution and build it for us in a web application, so we provided them with a brief and the requirements.
Our process is complex and extraordinary; we pay a lot of attention to detail which puts a lot of pressure on our employees, ranging from designers to manufacturing staff. We wanted to digitize the process and automate as much as we could to improve our efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and provide an increase in our production capability.
They've been responsible for the frontend and backend development of the ERP system and suggested some solutions that have benefited us greatly.
We released a final version of the product tested with our internal staff, and we are now improving some aspects to make it even better.
What is the team composition?
We've worked with three developers, a QA person, a UI/UX designer, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Score Digital?
We had met one of the owners at an event, and we started discussing the project. We chose them because they are a well-organized enterprise visible from the first engagement. They also cut right to the chase, saying what they think, which saves a lot of time and energy.
Score Digital was the most expensive of all the offers we had on the table, but we decided to go with them, and we think the money has been well spent.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2020, and the engagement is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything is digitalized now, and our staff has been delighted with the system, which has helped streamline the processes. Overall, the project is very well planned and executed, which has enabled us to increase our efficiency by around 30%.
How did Score Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We haven't had any problems with them regarding deadlines — project management is excellent. Their company is located in the next city, so we worked remotely, but we've met in person a few times as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are not hesitant to express their opinion, and they won’t lie to us, which makes it easy to work with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think they could improve their pricing, but they're worth it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It's really valuable to get to know your future partner; take your time, assess and compare things, and the answers will come eventually.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Projects Coordinator in Humanity in Action Poland Foundation. We focus on respect for human rights and actions supporting democracy, civil society and multiculturalism. We work with young leaders, who wish to deepen their pro-social interests. Those who have a passion to work creatively for people and groups affected by discrimination. We support these leaders in the knowledge development and skills necessary to sensibly and effectively counteract prejudices while also responding to manifestations of hateful attitudes and behaviors.
For what projects/services did your company hire Score Digital, and what were your goals?
We hired Score to develop an educational application. Our goal was to develop a mobile app with elements of AR that would be interesting and appealing for teenagers but at the same time, we had a challenge of making it serious - the topic to educate on was the history of the Holocaust of genocide which is delicate and not easy to discuss.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were considering multiple partners for the project, but Score seemed like they have understood what we need from the very beginning. They seemed engaged since our first call and really created an impression that they can execute the project successfully. They have described what the process of software development looks like, what are the steps and what needs to happen at each of them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We have started with a workshop session - our main goal was to transfer the idea for the application that we had to an interface that would be user-friendly and interesting for teenagers who are a very specific group. We wanted to get their attention and keep it. During the workshop, we have created user stories and conceptualized the application.
Afterwards, we were delivered with an overview of how the app will look like (along with wireframes of the actual app) and the development plan. The technology that was chosen for the project was Flutter - Score has advised this one as a perfect fit for an application that had to work on both mobile platforms (iOS and Android). We are happy with this choice as the application is pretty "light" and works smoothly on iPhones and Android devices.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have worked with a team of 5 people - business analyst, tech lead, QA engineer, Flutter developer, and UX/UI Designer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Within 2 months since our app was launched we saw more than 800 downloads. We received many positive comments from the users. We extended our network (especially in the group of teachers and educators) thanks to the 11 STAGES app.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We have been working with JIRA which served as a project management tool. We have also communicated via emails and had teleconferences on Zoom and occasionally on Microsoft Teams.
Project management style was pretty…strict - Score has clearly communicated the timelines and needs when it comes to the materials that we were supposed to provide. On some occasions, it has created some tensions but we had a very tight budget for the project, and Score has communicated from the very beginning that we need to work against the clock so we were not surprised by it. Especially that the result was timely delivery.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team has impressive app development skills. 11 STAGES is our first mobile app and the Score team was patient and willing to walk us through the process. Our communication was really good and smooth.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It was a new experience for both sides - we hadn't worked with an app developer before and Score with an NGO. Probably some aspects of our cooperations could be improved but it was a pilot project and the learning by doing process for us.

UI/UX Design for Virtual Portfolio Platform
"They’re a very experienced and well-performing senior team."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Stamper, a startup in Poland. Our clients range from small to medium-sized companies.
What challenge were you trying to address with Score Digital?
We needed someone to provide the UX/UI design for our white label product as well as develop a mobile app using cross-platform technology.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Score Digital designed the UX/UI of our white label product. We didn’t have any specific design in mind, but we wanted something very versatile that could serve a number of customers and could be tailored to a specific need. Based on that, their team made an interface that was adjustable and had a layer that allowed customer configuration. They used Adobe XD.
The app was developed with React Native technology that covered both Android and iOS platforms which were crucial for us. The end product is user-friendly, works smoothly, and can be easily tailored to a particular customer’s needs. This is exactly what we expected and needed. Additionally, Score has helped us to better understand how we can optimize cloud infrastructure to maximize efficiency and manage costs effectively.
What is the team composition?
There were two backend developers, two React Native developers, a QA specialist, a UX/UI designer, and a project lead.
How did you come to work with Score Digital?
I had high expectations in choosing a company. I wanted to work with a senior team, and I wanted someone who could provide a cost-effective design that wouldn’t drain us to run for our customers. We chose Score Digital above all other agencies because they checked all of those boxes and provided all of the services that we needed.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership lasted from February–October 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Score Digital exceeded our expectations in terms of delivering everything on time. They stayed within budget while meeting all of the milestones and user stories that we created during our workshops.
How did Score Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything worked out great. They’re a very experienced and well-performing senior team. They worked in a scrum methodology, and we held standard meetings and retrospectives. We used Jira to track the project and communicated via Microsoft Teams.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Score Digital’s strength lies in the fact that they’re a very strong team. The end-to-end experience that they provided was very beneficial to us. Not a lot of agencies can provide this level of experience in all sectors. They were up to all of the challenges.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their services were quite expensive, but we received more than what we paid for. They provided value, and it would’ve been good if they made all that they were able to provide for our money known.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Really analyze the price. Compare different companies carefully in terms of their prices and experience.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of a 2-sided marketplace for slow fashion brands in the Middle East
For what projects/services did your company hire Score Digital, and what were your goals?
We had issues with our previous developers and Score Digital saved the day! The cleaned up the previous tech (which was not launch ready at the time) & they developed the website with more tech products out of scratch. They made us launch ready within 9 months.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
My deciding factor was the team itself & the fact that they weren't a dev shop that only thought of my company as project basis. That was very important to me as I was looking for someone long term. They were very understanding of my budget & what I needed. They really integrated themselves as being a part of my company & helped me in every step. They are very personable & paid attention to every detail.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to discuss what we needed to launch vs long term. They took the time out of scope to look over the previous tech. We had sprint meetings every week & an organized Jira database. We used Laravel for back-end system & clear JS Plus jQuery for the front-end. Database is MySql 5.7. Developers also built the messages communication / admin portal / shop manager experience / create a boutique process all from scratch.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team consists of 1 Tech Lead / 1 Full-stack SR developer / 1 QA / 2 Code Reviewers / 1 Dev Ops.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We just launched so we are still making tweaks. We have around 10/12 sellers already, our customers love the ease of the website / design. We have had positive responses from everyone that has visited the website. The tech team have done a wonderful job!
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We use Jira to manage projects-tickets / Teams to communicate on a daily bases. We also do a weekly sprints. E-mails used from time to time but not on a daily basis.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
How personable and truly considerate they are to their clients needs. Also, they are really integrate into your companies family in the sense that you don't feel like you are two separate companies (the tech vs the founder/team). They are very organized, and the quality of their technology is very detailed. Very knowledgable team. I appreciate that they also provide me with their feedback.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No major areas for improvement! They are the best!

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a cofounder of OUCH a concept and clinic for body and pain treatment in Copenhagen. As part of our treatment we have a mobile and a web app to support the practitioner's journaling work. We use images to do so. I am the product owner.
For what projects/services did your company hire Score Digital, and what were your goals?
We had an unfiinished project because the previous backend developer left his old company before the project was finished. The company did not have a replacement ready. Moreover, our application was originally designed as a MVP and it has never been rebuilt so there was some upgrades that had to be made to backend part of the application.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had previously worked with this company and knew them well. They were already providing the frontend and mobile app services that was part of the unfinished project. The deciding factor was to use a partner that was already familiar with our application and our situation as a startup company.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Scope of the work was
1) Finalising an existing project where some backend work was needed to close the project.
2) Fixing login issues with our mobile app. The scope of the project also ended up including fixes to existing backend work that was not done properly and improvements to the workflow for setting up the code base locally and deployment.
Lastly, a code review was conducted to determine what improvements we ought to consider in the near future. The backend work was done in ASP .net core 3.1 and the mobile work was done in React Native.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team was a senior backend developer and a mobile developer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The project was finalised such that our web application and our mobile application could be updated.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Project management was done in Jira. Communicationwas done using Microsoft Teams. The project was finalised within the 2-month period we budgeted for it.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They provided a lot of flexibility in terms of how you can structure a project. They are able to assemble a team rather quickly.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The project management should have been more consistent in terms of meetings. We should have taken more time for the QA process and had a technical QA person involved. From our end, I should also have been more on top of things as product owner.

Custom Platform Dev for Data Analytics Company
"The team is very efficient and turns projects around faster than we'd expect."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am one of the founders of an attorney data analytics company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Score Digital?
We started working with Score Digital to build out a new platform that we call Engage.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Score Digital started from scratch to build our platform after we scrapped our old version. We were working with an outside team that we augmented with teammates from Score Digital for this development.
The platform is an enormous database where all of our data is indexed within Elasticsearch. The most difficult challenge for us has been dealing with the millions of rows of data in our system and determining how to display that information on the frontend.
That is what Score Digital ended up doing for us: converting millions of rows of data into usable information for our users. The Score Digital developers did front- and backend development using PHP with a Symfony framework. They also developed a Metronic-themed frontend. Now they help aggregate incoming data.
What is the team composition?
We've been working with Wojciech (Team Lead, Engineering) from the beginning of the partnership, along with Dominik (Full-Stack Software Engineer).
How did you come to work with Score Digital?
We were looking for new PHP developers to augment the external team we already had working for us. I already knew Wojciech, and when he joined Score Digital, I was introduced to their team and ended up hiring them.
How much have you invested with them?
On average, we spend about $14,000 a month with Score Digital. In total, we've spent around $300,000 over our entire partnership so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with Score Digital in October 2019 and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We just launched the Engage platform in June 2021 and it has been very well received by our users.
How did Score Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication is excellent with Score Digital. Everything flows through Wojciech and he conveys back his thoughts and ideas on the project. Wojciech then jumps right into the project and then works directly with Dominik.
We have a daily stand-up meeting and then our CTO posts development tickets on our shared Jira board.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We've worked with other developers over the past 6–7 years, and we've finally found a good relationship with Score Digital. They're an impressive group from the development side — even if a task is complex, they'll always find a way to get it done.
The team is very efficient and turns projects around faster than we'd expect. Wojciech thinks through the project and adds value to it — instead of taking the task at face value and completing it, he'll ask questions and pitch ideas to our team. Score Digital has really become part of our team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be nice if there was more flexibility in the contractual relationship. We're a small startup and it was difficult for us to sign up for such a long-term contractual commitment with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Clients should look at other development teams, but Score Digital is definitely worth working with. Clients also need to figure out the answer to specific questions about the project they're looking to do and see if their project matches up with work Score Digital has done in the past.
If the project involves a huge, complex site overhaul, potential clients should hire Score Digital.
