Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Business Unit Manager responsible for IT services (Digital Services) delivering software for majority of the products delivered by the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire SafetyHeads IoT I Mobile & Web App I CyberSecurity, and what were your goals?

Roadmap for our core B2C mobile application became intense due to increased number of supported products as well as number of new features requested by clients. In order to deliver on company's and client's expectations there was a need to find number of additional experts / engineers in relatively short timeframe. This is where SafetyHeads company helped to take this challenge forward.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Selection process was based on the decision matrix. There were multiple points with specified weights considered. SafetyHeads was by far the best in almost all points from which important to mention was speed, costs and proven quality track.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Scope of work was to provide the detailed business analysis (at starting point only high level requirements were documented which needed to be transformed into the development language) as well as development services (native mobile app development for iOS and Android platforms) plus quality assurance (unit testing, component testing and e2e testing).

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Approx 15 experts were working for us. We had a chance to work with Project Manager, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, iOS developers, Android developers and QA (testers).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Initially this cooperation was planned for approx. one year (delivery of all required and requested features). Ultimately this cooperation has been extended and lasts till now with intention to make it more permanent. All features have been delivered. During this year timeframe application was remarkably better in Apple and Android Stores' reviews and reached one of the best rating in the domain. At the same time company was able to sell new products together with support in the application. Sales figures were reaching and even extending the targets.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Project Manager was available on a daily basis. Whole team was conducting daily meetings in a transparent way (daily meetings were open and transparent to be able to track and follow the progress on a daily basis). Every week Steering Committee was taking place to discuss progress and possible improvements on a management level.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have shown a speed of team forming, which I consider their main strength. Also availability and willingness to discuss things, even those that needed improvements. Management was always available for any discussion.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In some cases skills of delivered experts were not in the required level (our company is very demanding with no compromises on quality). They reacted quite fast and exchanged the people to required level though, but perhaps this could be done from the very beginning.
