Amika - Love All Your Hair Days
THE ASK
Increase brand awareness while showcasing Amika’s all-encompassing hair care offering, celebrating self-expression, and reaffirming the brand’s commitment to inclusion.
IDEA
We all have great hair days once in a blue moon. But with the right care, we can learn to love every hair day. So, we decided to showcase a variety of relatable hair day stories and how Amika products can help make them better, encouraging people to “Love all your hair days.”
EXECUTION
Shot with on film with director Anisha Sisodia and director of photography Steven Mastorelli, the campaign featured among others disability advocate Bri Scalesse, Elizabeth Sweetheart aka. the Green Lady of Brooklyn. The campaign launched with connected Hulu TV ads paid social ads and a series of static and video billboards in Los Angeles shopping center The Grove, a first for the brand outside of New York City.

Loro Piana - Nature Parallels
Loro Piana is one of the world leaders in fashion sustainability, producing 45% of its annual electricity internally and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30%.
The brand’s care for nature and constant pursuit of excellence inspired us to create ‘Only The Finest’ — an integrated campaign that created a visual parallel between the quality of the fabric and the beauty of the environment it came from.

Not Another Second
THE PROJECT
Watermark is the first retirement community in the US to earn a Platinum accreditation in caring for LGBTQ+ seniors, after a company-wide training with non-profit SAGE.
EXECUTION
We transformed a retirement community into an Augmented Reality art exhibition. We also allowed people to immerse themselves into the stories of LGBTQ+ seniors through photography, a documentary film, a website, a billboard campaign and a limited edition book sold to support LGBTQ+ youth.
Also, the ‘Ask A Senior’ program allowed people to contact them directly for advice.
RESULTS
The exhibit sold out within days and was extended for 2 extra months by popular demand, before traveling the country.

Harry's Razors - Craftsmanship
ASK
Despite having their own factory in Germany and over 100 years of craftsmanship, Harry’s is still perceived as a young DTC brand. In fact, their blade quality is on-par with Gillette’s.
APPROACH
We decided to communicate modern craftsmanship and shine a light on how the blades are made, deconstructing the precise manufacturing process, in a step-by-step manner that will take consumers on a journey from the steel furnace to their bathroom shelf.
EXECUTION
Working with Harry’s product team, we created films around The German Factory Process, the Gothic Arch Shape that makes the blades more durable, the Swedish Steel Manufacturing and the Deconstructed Craftsmanship. The 3D execution was produced completely remote with our partners Frame in Copenhagen.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I lead Creative & Communications for a modern men's personal care brand
For what projects/services did your company hire RXM Creative?
We needed embedded creative development support while I was in the midst of building out our creative team. RXM stood in as true partners to the existing team, supplementing and supporting in work that spanned style guides to organic social content development for a big campaign.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I searched for a smaller boutique agency that would be open to 'embedding' within a team, more collaboration than hand-off mentality. I received bids from three different agencies and RXM felt like the best fit for the personality and output we needed.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After a kick-off and in-depth view of the brand to date and our target customers, RXM worked with us on better defining our position within one category and subtly evolving direction to reinforce our positioning, which led to three different Growth marketing campaigns, and then support organic social content to build out a linear TV campaign for a new product and category for the company.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with two CDs, one from the art/design side, one, from the copy side, and an art director, as well as external vendors brought in by RXM.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We saw high engagement from the social content created with RXM for the big campaign and alongside the holistic campaign, saw sales increase overarchingly for the product.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We met weekly and workflow between our team and theirs was mostly seamless, easy, and fun. The RXM team is really good at embedding within an existing team. Working closely with that team, and filling gaps, as well as supporting strengths of existing teams.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are super easy to work with, ask great questions, deliver work on time, generally as lovely people to work with, even with consistently changing environments—which means a lot for a growing company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Can't think of much. Again, they were really easy to work with.

Integrated Campaign for Perfume Launch
"They infused the creative with personality and creativity."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am senior director of global communications for a luxury beauty company.
What challenge were you trying to address with RXM Creative?
We had launched a perfume a year ago, and we were looking for an agency to help with a project for our line extension. We wanted to communicate with consumers about it in new ways, tying it in with our company’s voice in a way that was exciting, relevant, and fresh.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They laid out a strategic scope with the big idea and how that would translate into a 360-degree marketing plan. They showed how that idea would manifest in-store, in the press, in social media, and in asset creation. They talked about how to tell the story and how the overall concept was woven throughout the entire campaign.
They created a set of animated films which were in the theme of the platform. We used that creative on our website, social media, and in PR.
They also worked on a social media campaign specifically around Instagram Stories, combining real and surreal insights to create something magical. That campaign will roll out at a later date.
How did you come to work with RXM Creative?
I found them through a mutual contact who connects brands with various agencies. I didn’t know of them before this. We considered several agencies at the time, but we went with them because they came with an idea that was most strategic and brand-appropriate.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2017, and the product launch was September 2017. It was a project-based engagement.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They understood our brand very well. There's a lot to learn about a brand in general, but they gained a good grasp of it. They were able to execute in a timely manner, taking feedback from us about the brand and inserting our brand voice. They infused the creative with personality and creativity.
It was very whimsical and brand-appropriate and worked very well.
How did RXM Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed very well. I have no complaints at all as far as budgets, timelines, and check-ins. They responded to feedback and delivered revisions well and in a timely manner. They were strategically sound.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their strategic thinking impressed me the most.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not at this time.

Social Media Content Production for Eyewear Company
“They were the perfect partner to reshape our brand’s social media content.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the global social media manager for a leading eyewear manufacturer.
What challenge were you trying to address with RXM Creative?
At that time, we wanted to improve our North American presence. We were looking for an agency based in New York who could partner with our local marketing and social media manager.
What was the scope of their involvement?
RXM’s main task was to produce social media content that would build awareness and engagement for the different brands of our company, especially our sunglasses. They created 80% of the content we published on social feeds, including videos, illustrations, and photography. They also handled specific projects like the London Fashion Week live coverage. We worked on content ideas and strategy together throughout the year. The final copywriting was done by another social media agency we used.
How did you come to work with RXM Creative?
They started working with us before I joined the company. They were referred by my predecessor, and we got along well from the beginning. Since I was satisfied with their proposal, approach, and attitude, there was no reason for look for other partners.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of their work was more than $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in April 2015, while their work with the brand started a bit earlier. I’ve always been happy with their work for the company and recommended them to the person who jumped into my role in April 2016.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have good metrics that show the improvements on social media, but the content is just a part of the overall algorithm. While RXM was a part of this improvement, we’d also made changes in community management and paid social. My satisfaction level was high.
How did RXM Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
While they always covered the scope of work, they were average in terms of meeting deadlines and being communicative. Initially, their 2 founders handled everything, but we needed more support as the work got bigger and more challenging. During our collaboration, they hired a couple of people specifically to manage the projects, becoming more precise in terms of account management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
RXM was quick and effective in determining how a brand needs to be presented on social media, especially one like ours. They brought a lot of ideas and executed them well since they know how content is consumed today. They offered a combination of freshness, speed, and usability that I haven’t found in many other partners. It was a good ratio in terms of cost, quality, and time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No.

Social Media Marketing for Fashion Company
"They are good, very involved, and the type of agency that helps without creating complexity."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the global e-commerce and digital leader of a company in the fashion industry. We produce ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, and are very well-known for the excellence of our fibers, especially when it comes to cashmere.
What challenge were you trying to address with RXM Creative?
We are currently in the beginning of our digital journey, and we approached them to start defining our social media strategy.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The area of focus we asked them to work on was Instagram. We were already on Instagram, but needed help in rationalizing the approach and we asked them to provide us with guidelines. In order to do so, as we had previously been republishing content which came from other departments, we asked them for help in providing a point of view, transferring the brand personality, and defining social media guidelines at the end of the process. The big focus was on Instagram and WeChat, which they haven’t worked on yet, since we started with Instagram.
The purpose of the engagement is more about brand building, even though we have an e-commerce platform. We felt that we had to start from building the desirability of the brand. They provided us with strategic support and direction, and also worked on some benchmark analogies.
They also ran some interviews in order to understand the perception of the brand, competitors, as well as how established our company is. We also asked them to apply the strategic vision that they had provided onto another project that we will be launching next year, in order to see how the pillars they identified, and foundation of the framework that they worked on, are being translated and grounded into reality.
In addition, we are working with them on copywriting our social media content. While we wait for the new year to begin the next phase, we started working with them on the shorter term to readjust the copywriting that we’re currently using on Instagram.
How did you come to work with RXM Creative?
A colleague of mine had worked with them previously. I saw the output of their work for a large sunglass company, and even though they are a small agency, I felt they could be the right partner in terms of their flexibility and their understanding of what we were trying to do.
At the time, we were considering other companies as well, but the deciding factor was their team structure, the openness in the way they think, and we believed they were the right independent partners to work with. They have quite a broad spectrum of clients, which was something very important to me, because we are playing within the fashion and luxury world.
How much have you invested in them?
We have invested between €50,000 and €70,000 Euro [$58,000 and $81,300], and we are planning to invest more next year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May of this year, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have a growing fan base, which has been growing quite fast with no media investment support. We are in a very early stage of the work, so it would be difficult to tell the results. We are adjusting the voice of the brand to an audience that we haven't previously focused on.
I think they have delivered high-quality. Some of the work they have done has been really sharp in terms of creativity, and sometimes we needed one more round to adjust things, but I think this is to be expected when you start working with an agency.
How did RXM Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
They are good, very involved, and the type of agency that helps without creating complexity. The way we work together has been pretty smooth. They respect deadlines and are really good with communication. They let us know what they can do and why, and we try to get to a point where both parties are satisfied.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They can reshape themselves, according to the brand they are collaborating with, in terms of their creative approach and openness.
Are there any areas they could improve?
As of today, I can’t think of anything.

Brand Campaign for Eye-Wear Company
"They’re simply a great agency to work with, and I’ve never had any issues."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My former company is a leading eyewear manufacturer. They own both sunglasses brands and retail outlets, as well as provide licenses for luxury brands. During my last 2 years in the company, I was dedicated to a sunglasses brand.
What challenge were you trying to address with RXM Creative?
We were running a brand campaign for a specific product relaunch, which included a customization tool. It had been around for a year, but we didn’t have a communications plan for it. Once the tool was working well and had shown some business results, we were ready to begin the campaign. We needed an agency to work on the communications plan, but we had a short timeframe in which to produce a result for social media. The larger agencies we tended to use weren’t a good fit for that reason.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I submitted insights on our brand, product, and target audience based on customer data we’d collected, such as what they were buying and how much time they were spending with the tool. I asked RXM to create a brand identity, including a tagline, positioning strategy, and visual identity. That specific campaign was focused on social media and point of sales.
RXM developed all creative assets, including social media videos and visuals. They came up with a tagline that was in line with our brand and specific to the product. It emphasized self-expression and the ease of getting the right product for each person, regardless of their level of “coolness.”
They also handled finding influencers and models for the campaign. They identified big names who were working with everyone, but we opted for more emerging talent due to our brand positioning. RXM found a good blend of well-known models and new talent.
How did you come to work with RXM Creative?
I had worked with one of RXM’s founders on a sunglasses ad project. I reached out to them along with a few other agencies, provided them with a brief, and asked them to submit a communications plan. We specified that it first introduce the tool and then create an umbrella for developing specific feature campaigns.
RXM came up with the best, most creative ideas. The larger agencies struggled to come up with fresh and creative output.
How much have you invested with them?
They also worked with our global team, so I don’t have an exact cost. I estimate it was $200,000–$1 million in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first started working with RXM in January 2014. The product tool campaign began in 2016 and finished in June of that year. We continued to work on a project basis, including consumer activations at music festivals and collection campaigns. Their collaboration was continuing when I left, and I don’t know its current status.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have numbers available, but the engagement rate was one of the highest relative to our average figures for the brand and social media, according to the campaign report. They also worked on a limited edition collection that I wasn’t involved in. That collection sold out in one day, even though the campaign was intended to last for at least 2 weeks.
How did RXM Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
It was easy to work with them—they always delivered on time, were reliable, and put in the extra hours and resources required to finish the work. They gave us a clear timeframe, explained what they would deliver and when, and addressed any questions about deliverables in an organized manner. The customization tool project was challenging in terms of timeframe, but RXM managed to deliver on time.
With some agencies, we needed to constantly check on progress or give them reminders. It was the opposite with RXM—we knew we could fully trust them to deliver everything on time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
RXM offers all of the advantages of a boutique agency: They’re creative, flexible, and agile. At the same time, they have a great network of creative people and general professionals. No matter the project or creative idea we had, they were able to deliver top-quality material.
For example, if I wanted a music video, they would learn how to make one and find the best talent for it. If I wanted to do consumer activation at a music festival—which requires completely different skills—they would make it happen. It was amazing to work with an agency that’s focused on creativity, but could also deliver on whatever creative idea they sold us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. They’re simply a great agency to work with, and I’ve never had any issues.

Social Media Marketing for Eyewear Company
"The work RXM Creative came up with required fewer rounds of back-and-forth than with other agencies we’ve used."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a lens manufacturing company. I am the senior marketing manager of the company, responsible for all social media content, paid advertising, social strategy, and other marketing activities.
What challenge were you trying to address with RXM Creative?
We needed to create content for social with the help of an agency which could work with us on a project basis. We needed to refresh our social profiles, primarily in order to drive people to our stores.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have worked with RXM Creative on social strategy, including determining the platforms we could participate in. They found a niche in which we could be positioned. It related to our way of differentiating ourselves in the marketplace. They’ve also developed a visual look-and-feel and a tone of voice for social media, which was an evolution from our brand tone.
We’ve also contracted RXM Creative for a photoshoot, which was completed earlier this week.
How did you come to work with RXM Creative?
Other companies in our group have work with RXM Creative, and they have done great work in those engagements. We considered 10-15 agencies, but the fact that RXM Creative had done work for our organization, and came so highly-recommended, put them towards the top of the list. All the agencies we talked to made a presentation, and we were impressed with RXM Creative’s initial thinking.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $90,000 on their services so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the initial conversation in May 2017. It’s been a long, drawn-out process, primarily because of our internal operations. The engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
RXM Creative did a lot of preparation for our photo shoot, and it turned out amazingly well. They haven’t delivered finished assets yet, but this will happen later this month. I don’t have anything to compare their work to, but can speak to the process of working together, and the quality of their thinking.
How did RXM Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
The photoshoot was done earlier this week and lasted two days. There were no surprises—I had a complete shot list two weeks in advance, and they made changes based on the feedback we gave. What we shot was exactly what we said we were going to shoot. RXM Creative did a great job of finding quality people to do the work, and everything went as expected, with no major issues.
They’ve always taken feedback to heart, and I’ve never experienced any butting of heads. There will always be some passion and intensity when working with creatives, but RXM Creative is a balanced team, and willing to take feedback to heart.
We’ve used Google Docs to communicate and share documentation back-and-forth.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very smart people, and the work RXM Creative came up with required fewer rounds of back-and-forth than with other agencies we’ve used. They zeroed in on what we were looking for, took our insights, strategy and brand overview to heart, and were able to translate those into a social strategy which made sense. We were nodding our heads throughout the whole thing, and had very little feedback at the time. We made some adjustments going forward, but, with any agency, there are always slipups and items being missed. I haven’t felt this with RXM Creative.
I’ve appreciated the attention we’ve gotten from all levels of the organization. At the photoshoot, Raul, one of the partners in the company, was there for any problems. It’s comforting to know that I can pick up the phone and call anyone from RXM Creative.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Every concern I’ve had, they’ve been able to address. There’s no immediate feedback I can give.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
- having more time for the entire project but that was outside the agency's control
