I am the CEO and Co Founder of Equalizer Games. Equalizer Games is a sports and educational technology (EdTech) company providing virtual on field repetitions for athletes through multiple repetitions that improve decision making.

Equalizer Games wanted to hire a company to build our our animation and interactive platform for our users. Our original project with RV Technologies started at the end of 2018 and was completed in the summer of 2019 as they built out our entire platform. The team revamped our platform and improved some of our user interaction in 2022.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our deciding factor was the teams ability to understand our needs and show us their capabilities. As we reviewed multiple groups, we found that this team could answer the questions and concerns to help us build a great product.

We had a series of meetings that gave us a firm understanding of RV Technologies approach to the project. They were open and honest and showed us the timelines for each sprint. They did a fantastic job of showing us each persons role in the team.

A PM was assigned to our project, a full stack developer, animator, and a UNITY expert. The teams PM did a good job communicating to me the expectations weekly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

During our second phase and upgrade in 2022, the project took a month to complete the deliverable. The new team lead by the PM provided a plan during the sanity testing as well as updates in terms of development.

The PM was a great communicator, providing up to date status and sticking to timelines via Slack and email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was most impressed with their communication skills and willingness to provide clarity on all issues.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The team has evolved since our first project in 2018. I have seen the improvement and quality over the years in providing solutions quickly as well as communicating.

I am the founder of a consulting firm. I have 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, and I’ve helped clients across the world build their own marketing and sales teams. I also guide my clients when it comes to developing digital transformation strategies and creating apps or product solutions that can grow their business.

What challenge were you trying to address with RV Technologies?

Most of my clients aren’t tech-savvy, so they often need a partner to help them implement the strategy we have developed. I will then get companies like RV Technologies involved to help my clients implement those strategies.

What was the scope of their involvement?

RV Technologies has helped 2–3 of my clients with app development, web development, and even web design. They’ve also tested the solutions throughout the different development processes.

One of my clients wanted to build a web-based solution for the shipping industry, so RV Technologies created a product that can compare different shipping rates from different vendors. Their team also did some digital marketing and SEO work for this client’s other business, which is an e-commerce startup.

Another client of mine is a UK-based app development company, and RV Technologies has supported them with certain projects as well.

What is the team composition?

Across various projects, there have been a total of 12–15 people involved from RV Technologies’ side. Most of them are developers, but there are also business analysts, testers, and designers. 

How did you come to work with RV Technologies?

They were recommended to me. My clients and I spoke with them, and I felt confident that they were a good match in terms of quality and price. Ultimately, the development work will be paid for by my clients, but my role is to ensure that the client gets the best value from the right team for them.

How much have you invested with them?

Both projects have cost $65,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

I began working with them around May 2021, and it is ongoing. The shipping app development project is near complete, and the other project is still underway.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

RV Technologies has delivered well-tested and high-quality solutions. They’ve done a very good job in terms of account management. They’ve never overcharged; in fact, their prices are very reasonable compared to the other providers that we’ve interviewed. 

How did RV Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Our communication is good. They respond to us quickly and constantly inform us about their progress or about any delays. They’re very fair and transparent. Even when we faced some challenges with replacing the resources who left, they’ve made sure to keep us in the loop about the new people they were hiring. 

We used Slack, Basecamp, and Jira, and we had weekly sprint meetings through Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I must mention that the CEO of the company is a great guy. He has always ensured that things are being managed properly and that things are being well communicated. He has been on top of things, and whenever required, has always been available to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there isn’t anything specific. We did experience some delays when some resources left, but they never stopped working and made sure to manage everything continuously.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise anyone who is outsourcing any work to be very clear with your requirements. Also, understand that some developers cannot communicate well in English, so the documentation of the requirements should be clear.

It would also be a good idea to invest in the business analysis part of the process. Hire a company like RV Technologies that can help you with that. This will save you time and confusion later on because this ensures that everything you want to build is down on paper.

My company us a consultancy that provides on-site inspection reports to our customers. I am the founder and work in the company full time.

For what projects/services did your company hire RV Technologies, and what were your goals?

We had an existing iOS application we had developed and been using for the last 3 years. As our requirements grew, the app began to slow down, and couldn't hold the capacity of reports in the system. I had been trying for the last year with my previous app development company to edit the code and optimise it accordingly, without much luck. My goal was to update the app to stop it constantly crashing when there were a large amount of reports - which RV Technologies achieved for me.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed 3 app development companies and the deciding factor was RV Technologies ability to listen and provide suitable solutions. Many of the other companies wanted to re-write the app from scratch, which would not be a suitable solution as we've already invested thousands in time and effort building it.

The process included RV Technologies familiarising themselves with the app features and code, then implementing a suitable solution. The app was developed on the iOS platform and has a backend of firebase.

I believe there was 2 iOS developers, the project manager and the CEO was included in the initial interview and consultation.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome was excellent, RV Technologies optimised the code to enable us to have a large amount of reports without crashing. The project took around a month with a few iterations of back and fourth, until a satisfactory result was achieved and then the code was uploaded.

Their project management style included finding out my requirements, assessing my code, providing a quote and then delivering the result. I was happy with the whole process and the timeliness of delivery.

We're impressed by their ability to listen and work with us on a result and budget.

I have nothing bad to say about RV Technologies - they delivered on their promise within the scope of the quote they provided.

I am the CEO of a social networking company focusing on customer feedback.

For what projects/services did your company hire RV Technologies, and what were your goals?

We hired the RV Tech team to build an iOS and Android mobile app using Flutter. Our app contains both simple and complex algorithms for social networking. The RV Tech team was also hired to create an Admin panel to view and control data in the app. They also took our initial UI from Figma and improved it for the app.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We researched online review websites based on ratings, reviews, price, and responses to our initial inquiries. RV Tech met all of that criteria very well.

We had an initial discovery meeting where we met the CEO and the project manager where we talked through the scope and their quote. After signing the proposal and providing an original down payment, the team spent a week reviewing the detailed app requirements document that we shared with their team. The app development started with a UI/UX phase where we gave feedback until it was correct. Upon UI/UX completion, they started the development phase that took the majority of the time, and payments were made at different stages throughout. At the end of the development phase, they spent time fixing issues, and we've now entered a maintenance period where they are fixing any more bugs that are found through testing.

A project manager was our main point of contact, but we also interacted with a 2 different front in developers on Basecamp. There were a few times where we reported issues to their sysops team. Throughout the project we also had interaction with the CEO occasionally,.

Our app is still completing wide range testing. We plan to launch in January 2022.

We mainly communicated via email with the Project Manager, but we also had interactions with the front end developers on Basecamp. Our project manager was good at answering our questions quickly, however, we do wish that he would be more proactive with updating us on timelines, providing us with information about what was being worked on during the past few days.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What they were able to accomplish for us from the UI to the development to the Admin panel was impressive. Everything was clearly presented and made it easy for me as a non-developer CEO to download and test the app throughout development. The team was very flexible with feedback, and they were adaptable to the requirements.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

My biggest recommendation for the team would be to have all of the developers and project manager to take more time at the beginning to fully read and understand all of the app requirements, and ask questions if they don't understand everything fully. At the beginning of the project, I provided the team with a very detailed app requirements document. Throughout the development there were times where it felt like the team didn't understand the purpose of the app or how it was expected to function. I think that if they would've taken the time to fully understand the app requirements and ask questions before starting development, we could have saved time during development and prevented some issues.

Hired RV Technologies to develop an online job board. A website and a mobile app.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I checked the reviews on Clutch. I then contacted RV technologies after visiting their website, they responded quickly, and they told me what I would need for my web app. Other vendors that I contacted did not give me a detailed response. RV Technologies are more engaging, and they sounded interested in my project and eager to help me get started.

Started with a Skype call with my project manager. I explained what I wanted, I already had an idea on how I wanted the website to look and function. The project manager gave me some recommendations on which cloud platforms to use for my project, for example, payment gateway and database storage. I was told in detail which parts of the project need to be completed first, and what RV Technologies would need me to do in order to help the project.

A technical project manager is my main point of contact. Multiple developers that are experts in their field. QA resource.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The platform is going through some final testing and will be launched very soon. People that have already seen and tested the platform have been very impressed with the functionality and design of the application.

We use Basecamp to keep track of tasks and communicate. My technical project manager is always available on Skype, email and WhatsApp. It does not matter what time of day it is, despite the different time zones.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The company exceeds expectations. They are quick to respond to any queries and are always happy to help us with anything technical.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I cannot think of anything, it has been a great experience dealing with RV Technologies.

The app provides secure file distribution of documents, particularly of personal wills, and can be transferred to beneficiaries following a passing; without the need to share sensitive information before then.

What were your goals for this project?

A lean and simple to use app that makes it easy for users to navigate and operate the function.

How did you select RV Technologies?

I did a comparison based on budget, portfolio, and initial discussions between various local and international app developers. RV seemed to be the best fit.

Upon initial discussions, RV Technologies quickly began to develop the app. Regular, almost daily communication was key and despite the time difference RV was able to produce work in a timely manner. They were flexible and responsive and my contact (Ranjit) was clear in his communications. Working through the project much back and forth, and testing occurred, and improvements continue to be proposed to upgrade the app to a higher level.

What was the team composition?

My main communications were with Ranjit of RV technologies which was great because one point of contact who understood the vision was beneficial. He was backed up by a larger team but I communicated with him mostly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app has been developed and published in both Apple App Store and Google Play store. The web page has also been launched live.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was a very lean process and consisted primarily of myself and Ranjit (backed by a larger team) which made for quick and effective communications.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their flexibility and responsiveness. They were able to address the issues on a daily basis in a quick manner despite the time difference. They produced a product in a tight timeline.

Are there any areas for improvement?

At the moment I am very pleased with the process and hope to continue with them on other projects. It would be nice, based on their experience with other applications to have RV suggest some additional ideas to improve the app (which I may not have thought of), but I think overall it was an excellent experience.

The company adhered to the milestones and delivered the prototype. I appreciate them going an extra mile to meet the goals of the project I think the company could improve in the communicating potential costs for a given implementation. I was not aware of what the possible *additional* costs regarding a particular functionality. Since the game development typically has an iterative design, a greater flexibility

We wanted help in building a hybrid app to allow our dietitians and experts to connect with customers and share daily diets, workout plans etc. The app was launched on both, Android as well as iOS, platforms.

The goal was to take the entire weight and diet management service online and increase the customer base outside of the city where our business is based.

Our goal was to connect users with our team of dietitians and fitness experts. We wanted users to track their medical details on our platform, get daily workouts and diet plans, schedule one-on-one online appointments and chat with experts as necessary. This enabled our business to run online and move away from the brick-and-mortar-store model.

The team was comprised of our CEO and founder who took the final call on most decisions. As the Product Manager, I was the point person of contact between RV Technologies and our company. From RV Technologies, we had a Project Manager who took charge of day to day development tasks, a lead developer, a back end developer and a design lead.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

RV Technologies delivered an amazing final app which will help us reach out to clients in other cities inside and outside of India. In the first 6 months, we expect our client base to quadruple through these efforts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was extremely professional and asked for our feedback every step of the way. We were able to connect almost daily via a dedicated Slack channel and exchanged detailed emails on design, workflows and app details.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Every member of the RV team was very receptive to feedback. They also had a very quick turn around time which is worthy of mention.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Given their exemplary performance, there are very few areas for improvement. If given the chance, I would urge them to spend more time reviewing UI/UX standards for the iOS and Android platform. In general, I was very satisfied with their overall performance and would definitely recommend their service for any app or web development projects.

We hired RV to set up a mobile app to help us provide us service to people in the comfort of their own homes.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a good working mobile app that could help level specific exercises for the user depending on their ability level.

I looked for a long time for a company that suited us. Because the app was quite complicated we needed a company that understood exactly what we were attempting and that we could communicate with effectively. RV understood what we were attempting easily, we could communicate very well, and were also very reasonably priced compared to the other companies we were in talks with.

We talked through the process of what needed to be done before we signed and then once everything was finalised RV gave us set goals and targets for when different stages of the app was to be completed. This was very simple and straightforward laid out starting with initial mock ups and ending with submission to the app store.

A project leader led the whole project and he was in charge of his team who built the app. We were in constant communication, and my opinion and feedback were implemented whenever they were given.

We have just uploaded the app onto the app store so we are looking forward to positive feedback shortly.

The project manager and I were in constant communication and we scheduled calls if anything needed to be clarified. Any issues or feedback I had with anything was implemented quickly.

The communication and implementation of whatever was required was very impressive. Even things that seemed very difficult was done very quickly. They also offered opinions and options where needed. Very personable project manager who was always keen to help and do what was required to make the project a success.

Based on clutch reviews. Had many call before engagement to ensure they full understood the requirements of the project. Became very clear in the project they did not understand the requirements.

I had one main contact. He was absolutely useless.

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. The quality and speed of work is incredibly poor. Caused many additional bugs in the code through their own development. Any work produced was never done correctly in the first place, and then they would complain when I pointed out the additional bugs they had created.

The lead had no idea how to manage the project. 6 weeks into the development, the timeframe they said they would complete the development, not a single task in the milestone had been completed.

The lead would say they understand the task, however the outcome from their development showed he clearly did not understand. When I notified the owner of RVT, I had the most unprofessional response and management of the situation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.
