Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the Director of Global Marketing at a financial planning software provider. We operate in nine countries and we serve financial professionals in all sizes of operations, from independent advisors to large corporations. My role is to manage the global marketing teams as well as corporate development, including content creation, press, and other marketing related to our financial planning software.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rocket Clicks?
Lead generation is the core goal of our work with Rocket Click, but brand awareness is a subsidiary goal.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Rocket Clicks supports our digital marketing efforts. They manage our PPC program and support our SEO program for the US, Canada, and Holland. They support our spillover work for PPC and digital display ads on Google, Bing and elsewhere. I know that Rocket Click provides other services, such as content creation, but we just use their SEO and PPC services.
How did you come to work with Rocket Clicks?
Using an agency review process, we identified them as the ideal candidate due to their size and their breadth of service, but also just the talent on their team. When we met with them, what spoke volumes was the level of talent at their organization. Now we continue our relationship with them because of their service.

I can’t reveal the exact amount, but we spend several thousand dollars per month on our PPC and SEO programs.

I want to say we’ve been with them for over two years and we have no plans to stop.

We’ve had a relationship for two years, which indicates our satisfaction level with them. One of the benefits of working with Rocket Clicks is that they’re always self-auditing. They understand where we’re not hitting our targets and they make modifications based on that, which is why our weekly meetings are so beneficial. As a result of our work with Rocket Clicks, we’ve seen a lift in all our online traffic and lead generation programs. Anyone who’s looking to add an SEO or PPC company must understand their own needs fully before they can properly choose a vendor. I do feel strongly that Rocket Clicks fits well with a lot of organizations both in size and in budget, but you need to know what your organization needs before you choose a vendor. But you also need to ask questions about the team. Ask about their communication style: it’s important that you know what you’re getting into.

I’m the digital marketing manager at an e-commerce company that specializes in compression hosiery.

We needed a firm to manage our PPC [pay-per-click] advertising on Google and Bing, as well as some Facebook advertising. Our goals were to get new customers, decrease our cost per acquisition, and generate revenue.

Rocket Clicks' team is very friendly and great. I’m in constant contact with them throughout the week, and they’re available to answer my questions. Rocket Clicks not only improve their campaigns constantly, but they offer site improvements to ensure the ads are converting.
What did you find most impressive about Rocket Clicks?
I like that Rocket Clicks has a very friendly, Midwestern vibe. Although I’ve never met them in person, we get along well on our phone calls. They’re just very nice.
Are there any areas Rocket Clicks could improve?
I’ve previously worked with Rocket Clicks to improve reports, and they’ve been very responsive to that, but I can’t think of anything else. I’m confident that, if I identified an area for improvement, we’d be able to work it out.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Rocket Clicks?
Setting expectations upfront is important. So, if the goal is to get the cost per conversion down, that should be the number-one focus. I’ve realized over time that when the budget increases, the less efficiently it’ll be spent because you’re getting those fringe keywords that aren’t as productive.

We are a home remodeling business. We manufacture and sell antique and different color aged copper finishes for countertops, backsplash, and bar tops for homes and restaurants. I’m the founder and CEO of the company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rocket Clicks?
Rocket Clicks is helping us bring a lot more relevant traffic of people that are looking for the products that we offer to our website. It’s a niche business, and they have been working well with getting us good listings in the search engines. We also have tutorial videos that they have been able to utilize through YouTube and other search methods implemented with YouTube to bring a lot of traffic from the videos to our website, which in turns, become customer purchases. They’ve been on remarketing ads to target customers who have visited and maybe haven’t purchased and then see our ad come up on other websites. That’s brought us a lot of traffic which has been a good amount of sales.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Rocket Clicks came onboard and revitalized everything. They did SEO [search engine optimization] and remarketing. They managed the Google AdWords and Bing Ads. They have been building out our pay-per-click campaigns. I do social media myself because I’ve been in it so long and we have other people here who work on that. Each month, they’ll give me a list of items to work on, and then I’ll update and modify things on my end on the website that works hand-in-hand with what they’re doing.
How did you come to work with Rocket Clicks?
I interviewed 7 different companies and talked to some past clients. I was looking for a small company with less than 30 people, where I could have somebody dedicated to spending the time working on my business, getting to learn about what we do, and how our business runs rather than a large company that doesn’t have the time to focus. I checked them out really good and liked what I saw. I liked their preliminary work, analysis, and outlines when we had a conference. It looked really good, so that made me want to go with them.
How much have you invested with Rocket Clicks?
I spend $3,000 monthly for their services and spend upwards to $30,000 monthly on pay-per-click. Believe me, I’m getting good results, or I wouldn’t be spending that amount per month with Rocket Clicks. Things have gone up and up since they came on board, and it takes the pressure off me. I don’t really have to bother with it.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in November 2015 and ended in October 2016. Our relationship is ongoing as they are continually updating Bing and Google. They get to participate in beta programs all the time and things that Google offers for AdWords and other advertising opportunities. They’ve been able to utilize those for me. A lot of new stuff has been happening with Google and YouTube videos and search listings inside the YouTube ads. They do a fantastic job constantly working on my campaigns.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
With the campaigns and how they’re optimized, the visits are from quality people that are interested in our product whereas before I spent a lot of frivolous money on the pay-per-click and getting people who weren’t necessarily looking for our product, but they clicked on it and cost me money. With them, I’m getting quality business, and it’s increased around 30% as far as increasing business from checking the statistics on AdWords and Bing campaigns. They built out all kinds of different campaigns for the different products that we have and worked with a lot of the Google product shopping section. They were able to break down my products and get those listed. That’s gained me a lot of business with that.
I know that the bounce rate had gone down when I checked it a few months back. I was at 60% before but now somewhere around 31%. They cut it in half. Rocket Clicks worked tirelessly and got rid of a lot of negative keywords of things that people were not looking for to make sure it’s relevant. They might type in “copper sheets,” but they’re looking for copper colored bedsheets. Rocket Clicks has offered suggestions on things for me to change on the website. That way, the people that come there are looking for a backsplash, it takes them to the backsplash page. That’s helped produce a lot of the bounce rate as well, just by bringing them directly to the relevant product.
How did Rocket Clicks perform from a project management standpoint?
The team is great. Rocket Clicks keeps you in the loop. It’s not something where you pay them, and you never hear from them again. Rocket Clicks is constantly connecting with me and letting me know what they’re working on. They’re always brainstorming ideas. It’s kind of like they almost work for me because they are thinking of things for my company to advance it and offer suggestions such as here’s a new opportunity that we think might work to bring in more traffic in this area. Last week, they gave some suggestions on one of the product lines I have and making some modifications to the website by moving these products to a different position, which was based on the analytics they have been looking at. For example, people were searching for plain copper sheets, and that product happened to be all the way at the bottom of the page. They recommended moving it to the top of the page, which is bringing in more business for that product.
What did you most impressive about Rocket Clicks?
These guys are experts. Rocket Clicks knows everything about search engines and how they work. They stay up to date on all the changes in everything that goes on with Google and Bing. So far, they have exceeded all my expectations. I just like the fact that you feel like they work with you as part of your company. They’re not some outside place who has a cold relationship with you. It’s very cordial, and they do a fantastic job. Rocket Clicks communicates effectively both in what they are doing and the changes they have done to the campaigns.
Are there any areas Rocket Clicks could improve?
I don’t have any negative or constructive critique for Rocket Clicks.
I honestly believe these guys are probably in the top 10 in the whole country. I researched a lot before picking them because there are so many different companies you can choose from, and everyone claims to be the best. I think it boils down to the personalities of the people running it and the dedication that they offer. They are all dedicated to the business that they’re involved in, and it trickles down to where you’re paying for the service. They’re definitely delivering because the results are there. I’ve been with Rocket Clicks over a year and a few more months, and I wouldn’t continue to pay that money per month if I wasn’t getting results.

Just work with them. They give you things to work on each month through reports, whether it’s helping them with graphics or things for ads they want to run or making modifications to the website. They show you the progress from month to month, here’s where we're at and what we have done. I would recommend working with them because you get a lot farther when you do that.
