I'm a R&D Manager at Apsis. We deliver powerful solutions for marketing automation, e-commerce, lead generation, segmentation and email marketing.
For what projects/services did your company hire Rite NRG, and what were your goals?
We were looking for a trusted partner who will be able to help us with project implementation. We have our own development teams but we were aiming to deliver additional module to our SaaS platform, that was outside of capacity we had at that time.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had previously cooperated with one of the owners of Rite NRG. As an advisor he was helping us with establishing Agile in our organization. When we started looking for a vendor who could deliver the project, Rite NRG came to us with the proposition. We liked their professionalism and business attitude. Rite NRG was able to advise regarding proper team composition, project deliveries and kept it within the budget constraints.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They started with and existing business and technical requirements that had to be revised. Their first step was to work with our Product team on aligning and updating requirements. At the same time they started technical verification and created product roadmap. Next was a walking skeleton phase where we had time to verify different technical concepts. Three months into the project, due to external factors, we had to change priorities and pause the project. We successfully changed Rite NRG team composition and assigned them to help us in other areas. Technology stack: NodeJS, Angular, Go.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were 4 people in the team, including: senior NodeJS developer, senior Angular developer, business analyst and project coordinator.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The first project, when paused, had revised business requirements, roadmap that was ready to execute and a walking skeleton implementation. Those artefacts will be crucial when we decide to resume the project. After reassigning Rite NRG to another project, we managed to speed up development and we are now close to reaching its pilot release.

That's definitely their strong point. They manage the project on the strategic and operational levels. On the strategic level we had a bi-weekly call with their manager. We were discussing project and team status as well as upcoming milestones. On the operational level we used Slack and emails. Rite NRG team was part of our R&D Slack organization which was especially useful to discuss dependencies between domains, technical constraints but also confirm business requirements. Main communication tools included Slack, Google Meet and emails.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were our partner, not just a vendor that extended our delivery capabilities. They were flexible enough to adopt to changes in our priorities.

As a company in a high growth phase, we had a lot of challenges with recruiting and retaining highly qualified IT staff. An additional difficulty for us was the Covid-19 situation, which had a huge impact on the travel industry. I turned to Rite NRG for help because I knew the company from my previous professional experience. I was certain they would help us hire the right people for our projects.

Rite NRG was the very first company that came to my mind. We considered 2 others. The decision to work with them came as a result of positive recommendations, excellent contact, Rite NRG's responsiveness and their proactivity. I was sure it was the right choice.

We have started with a precise outline of our goal, the profiles of people we had to recruit. We had a long discussion about what blocks us, what are the threats and how the situation on the IT market is changing. As always, everyone at Rite NRG was very committed. We defined our process and launched the project. At every stage of our collaboration I had all the information I needed, we proactively solved problems

We hired 2 people, both with a very good level of knowledge and experience in the .Net technology area. Other positions changed depending on business decisions. Despite many variable factors, I always got very good profiles and resumes.

Introduce your business and what you do there?
I’m the CTO of Reviso International APS. We develop cloud-based accounting software.
What challenge were you trying to address with Rite NRG?
We needed to scale our development team, so we were looking for someone to help us find the right resource.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I initially provided Rite NRG with our requirements, and we discussed the type of collaboration we were looking to have. Then, they gave us leads for us to review, and we set up some job interviews.
They then were in charge of hiring and managing the resource that we selected. We hired a senior-level developer with experience in .NET and C#, both modern and legacy versions. He worked as part of our engineering team.
What is the team composition?
Michal (CEO) was our main point of contact from Rite NRG.
How did you come to work with Rite NRG?
I had worked with them previously and decided to meet with them again to discuss our needs for this project.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around €90,000 (approximately $106,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July 2020–July 2021. Due to a tragic accident, we are no longer working with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were very satisfied with the resource that Rite NRG found and hired for us. He contributed largely to the team, helping to reduce our database costs by 25% over the course of the engagement. He also became the cornerstone of our backend team as the most highly skilled member. He always had a positive approach, and he worked to find solutions to every situation.
How did Rite NRG perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Jira to manage the project, and we communicated frequently. Rite NRG helped minimize the cultural differences between us and the resource, working closely with us to optimize the relationship.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Rite NRG did a great job finding the right resource for us and working with both of us to create the best engagement possible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
My boss thought that the price could have been better, but I was completely satisfied with them.

QAs from RiteNRG have significantly helped us with delivering over 94 releases since the beginning of February. We work in a really dynamic environment where we need to respond to regulatory or market changes as soon as it is possible.

RiteNRG QAs were part of our internal teams and I believe it helped a lot with planning their work and with the communication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
RiteNRG made sure that we have a regular catch-up meeting where I could share all my feedback about the QAs they provided to us. It was a really great idea as we could address all the potential issues immediately.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We needed to wait a bit for the CVs but once they arrived, the whole process was smooth.
Rite NRG was fast and smooth in working n the project. They carefully listened to the client's requirements and needs. Moreover, the team handled the project flexibly, strategically, and seamlessly. They held bi-weekly calls to openly discuss the project's status.
