CrumbZ
Explore the world and join a community of like-minded people with Crumbz – an app for sailing and traveling lovers.
Crumbz exists somewhere on the intersection of a social network and a navigation app. Our main challenge was to create an ecosystem that would stand out among other apps from this category and that the users would instantly fall in love with.

TheBuild
The build is an ecosystem of software solutions focused on solving daily business issues encountered in the construction industry.
Our goal was to create an app that would benefit everyone in the field – property developers, subcontractors, accountants, and even suppliers. All these groups have specific needs that we had to identify and meet.

Minta
Minta has a straightforward mission – to empower e-commerce merchants, help them grow, and drive more traffic to their stores. The app is currently compatible with Shopify and Etsy but will soon be available to sellers who use Amazon, Wix and WooCommerce.
The client came to us with a fully functioning product that needed a slight revamp. We were tasked with modernizing the brand’s visual identity and creating a fresh, more visually appealing version of the website.

MySet
Nashville has an exceptionally large and vibrant music scene with thousands of concerts each year. Its nickname - Music City – is, therefore, no coincidence.
Our client came to us with a straightforward, yet difficult challenge: to design an app that would revolutionize the way fans experience live music while simultaneously supplementing the artists’ income and streamlining the song request process.

incfile.com
Who is incfile?
Since starting, they have assisted more than 500,000 entrepreneurs and small business owners to form and grow their businesses.
We redesigned the entire website (including tablet and mobile versions). We created brand heroes, over 200+ unique scenes, several hundred 3D icons, and 2D icons. In addition, we supply infographics and advertising videos every month.

EyeBou
With EyeBou, you can subscribe to great lenses and enjoy new eyesight. This is a huge project that we have been working on for over a year, and the materials presented are only part of the entire work we have done for the client.

TagChat
The app allows the user to create tags (e.g. family, San Francisco friends, soccer friends), and populate these tags with their contacts. The user can use these tags to sort contacts and filter chats. Further, the user can leverage these tags for quick and easy mass outreach and organization.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of business development for IncFile.com, a small business platform that helps entrepreneurs launch their businesses, offering them a suite of startup services.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters?
Our website had been pieced together over the years. We had different freelance designers and engineers make changes, adjustments, and additions to it, so it became disjointed over time, and there wasn’t continuity with our brand. For example, we had old email templates and new landing pages or a new checkout process and an old home page. Thus, we wanted to fully revamp our website to create continuity within our brand identity.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Riotters provides us with web design and frontend development services. As for their bigger project, they designed a new website for us from scratch, using our old site as a reference. I also provided them with some high-level guidance, explaining our vision and what we wanted to achieve. Then, we collaborated to accomplish that vision.
As part of our brand identity, we wanted to achieve a unique look to stand out from the competition within our industry. Thus, Riotters designed and developed 3D characters for our site. Each character was uniquely crafted and designed for relevancy on any given page, which took a lot of effort from their illustrators. They designed them with pencil on paper, and they then translated them into a 3D model.
Those characters have become part of our brand identity. They are lightbulb characters representing people having a new business idea in mind and wanting to launch it; they mirror our customers. In addition to the custom characters, Rioter has also created custom 3D icons and animated explainer videos.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with around 15 different people from Riotters, including a creative director, various illustrators, wireframing architects, web designers, 3D animators, and video animators.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
We found Riotters through an online design community. I saw their portfolio, liked their work, and scheduled a call. Our project involved more than design, so I wanted to work with people who could understand our vision and had the capability of organizing and managing a large project like ours. Riotters offered a full-stack team that could get the project where it needed to be.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around January 2019, and developing the site was a year-long project. However, our engagement is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since we launched our site, we’ve seen a significant increase in younger demographics engaging in our website, ranging from 18–24 years old, which is a testament to the appearance and tone of our site, being appealing to the youth. Additionally, we’ve seen a significant increase in our mobile traffic, which means that our site is user-friendly and responsive, and its pages load quickly on mobile devices.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
Riotters is always available, and they offer quality work. Their team stayed focused and worked really hard throughout the development project. We use Slack to communicate and host meetings, and we use Asana to manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Working with Riotters has never felt like an agency-client relationship. Everyone from their team is very engaged and involved in the project, making them feel like they are an extension of our team. This level of engagement has translated into better project management and a high level of commitment centered around the project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. The different pain points I had experienced working with other designers were eliminated since working with Riotters. They have the appropriate infrastructure to support our needs; that’s why we continue working with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust their guidance and direction to get the most out of the engagement. Although it might be hard to do, it is worth it to trust them because they will take your project far beyond what you imagine it.

Marketing & Branding for Software Development Agency
"The commitment to understand the business in great details was the most impressive."

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Chief Executive Officer at eDigital. Founded in 2019, eDigital is a dynamic and ambitious software development company based out of New York, USA. It operates in the field of robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence and data analytics. We have the opportunity to work with fortune 500 clients in the media and internet space.
For what projects/services did your company hire Riotters, and what were your goals?
Our company was of the ground recently and very little time and efforts was put towards marketing and branding. Initial branding was developed and conceptualized in house but very soon we needed an identity. We wanted to make an impact in the field and stand out from the crowd.
How did you select this vendor?
We found 2 companies online and interviewed both. The experience, and general ideas Riotters had proposed to us really resonated with our goals and ambitions for the brand. Riotters understood our philosophy and dynamism right away and selecting them over the other felt natural.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
They interviewed myself and a few other member of the team to understand the business in more details. They took time to also understand our clients and the type of person we are dealing with. They elaborated a very thorough process of identifying the brand by making the eDigital's team go through exercises and brainstorm sessions. From the study, resulted, new brand guidelines and color scheme, a new logo and polished font that best represent our business.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked directly with their executive manager. Even though we didn't work directly other person of the team, a few member were working on the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We really made an impact and our clients feel more comfortable than ever with our new branding. We received many compliments on our logo and font choices. This has helped us be more present on social media and share more than ever. Our team internally feels comfortable identifying them to our company and it resulted in more creativity and team work.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication with Riotters is truly top notch. They use the best communication and project management tools out there and despite the time difference, we never hit any barrier in that respect.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The commitment to understand the business in great details was the most impressive. They stressed the importance of understanding our daily tasks and our clients. They were also very impressive during their follow up and presentation skills.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I would have liked a wider range of design proposition at the beginning but again with the level of research and dedication they've put it to understand our business, the proposed designs were very targeted and on point.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of CoinAPI LTD. We create software for the cryptocurrency market and employ over 15 people.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters?
We needed help with web development for our platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Riotters has worked on website development and other things related to our website. They’ve also helped us develop custom documentation, such as the solution for the project's backend. We’re now focused on the software side, and they’re helping us achieve the end result.
We’ve worked together on the planning, goals, and wireframes. We’ve had several stages to approach the project, and everything is done from scratch.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 4–10 people from their team.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
We were looking for a company that could help us. We had some offers from the market and decided to go with them. Their communication was good.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent approximately $1.4 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in March 2016, and the project is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve estimated that it’d be significantly more expensive to do the work in-house. We don’t have specific metrics to review, but we’re happy with the results.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
Our partnership has been excellent. We have a long history together, and working with them is like a moving target from a project management perspective. If there’s a problem, we sit down and review it, and they make the necessary changes.
We use Slack, Google Meet, video calls, and in-person meetings for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re artists rather than businesspeople, so the end results differ from the competition.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s hard to say because it’s been such a long time. Their communication created the most issues in the past, but it currently isn’t an issue. Any problems that have come up have been solved.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Always demand the highest quality because they can deliver it.

MVP Design for Online Travel Company
"They put a lot of care into the process and provide well-thought-out ideas."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a product manager at an online travel company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters?
We were trying to develop a SaaS product and needed an MVP to help us launch, so we needed someone to help us with the design.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Riotters provides design services for us. First, our founders sent them some travel websites and apps to help them come up with designs. The team then created different wireframes for us to choose from. They’ve also produced various design elements that we could combine to build more user flows and features.
Throughout the project, they’ve used Sketch to create the designs and Marvel to hand off the wireframes, which our in-house development team implements. The Riotters team continues to help us add more functionality to the app.
What is the team composition?
We work with 2–7 teammates, including a project manager. The number of people working on the project depends on where we are in the process.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
I wasn’t there when the partnership started, but I believe our founders found them through Dribbble, a site that showcased various designers.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in September 2020 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still in the early stages, so we don’t have any metrics yet, but it’s been a successful project. The MVP has caught the attention of several stakeholders and prospects. They find that our solution is better than others in the marketplace, and they seem happy with it.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is great. We try to plan the timeline as best as possible, and they’ve worked overtime to help us meet specific deadlines. Riotters has also been willing to scale up the design team if we need more resources. We use Jira to manage the project and Slack to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed with the amount of exploration the Riotters team does when it comes to greenfield projects. They put a lot of care into the process and provide well-thought-out ideas. Overall, the partnership has been going pretty well, which is why we’ve continued working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could better understand how certain design elements will affect other parts of the app.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Provide very clear documentation for them to follow. Additionally, help Riotters understand the reasoning behind certain features and how your industry makes use of them. Having that base knowledge will help them solve your problems better.

Mobile App Design for Work Marketplace App
"They’ve been an affordable way to boost up our team and bring different thinking to our processes."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a work marketplace app. We bring people the opportunity to find work and workers on demand.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters?
We needed help to develop the interface of our app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I’ve been working with Riotters’ team on our platform’s initial UI/UX design work — we needed a redesign of our interface, so we’re transitioning from the first version of our app to the second one. They started by supporting our in-house designer with out-of-the-box approaches and pushing his ideas from a third-party perspective to enhance the platform’s look and feel. Then they continued into building the new features we wanted to include. We’re also doing a rebrand that we’re incorporating into the application to expand its functionality.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with 3–4 people from their team; we have a designer who is also acting as a project manager, another couple of designers, and an illustrator.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
We found them online, and we liked their portfolio. We chose them because they seemed to have great UI designers pushing the edge of their work with their interface. We were looking for someone who could bring that to my team and drive our internal designers to think a little bit differently from what they’re used to.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent less than $10,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2020, and the engagement is ongoing; we’re now trying to involve them in more projects with our business.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’re a great solution to figure out the visual aspect of our app and make it stand out. We now moved our tens of thousands of workers to the new app version Riotters redesigned for us, and we’ve grown by 130% since then.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management has been great, and we haven’t had any issues with translation. At first, I was nervous about them being overseas. Still, they’re turning out to be phenomenal in terms of design quality, and they’ve been an affordable way to boost up our team and bring different thinking to our processes, which has been helpful for us. In terms of communication, we use a Slack channel, which has been our effective way to talk to each other, and we’ve also done Zoom calls.
They’re professional and don’t mind working late on their day to overlap with the beginning of our day due to the time zone difference.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their design style is different from what I see in the US; they have a tremendous aesthetic and fantastic UI design. Riotters bring a unique approach to their work and try new things to make it a strong product without breaking the bank.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We switched around on designers for a while, which we don’t mind, but it’s also great to work with the same team throughout the project and build a strong relationship — consistency would be helpful.

UI/UX & Website Design for Audio Software Company
“Their design expertise is the best part of working with them.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of FxSound, a small software company in San Francisco, California. We make audio-enhancing software for consumers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters?
Riotters helped us with the UI/UX design of our software’s new version. Then, they also helped us redesign our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
To kickstart the project, I gave Riotters rough ideas of what I wanted and then brainstormed with Dawid (Owner) to come up with designs, which we also tweaked. For the software UI/UX design, Riotters helped us around our logo and color schemes by creating wireframes. Then, they worked on the frontend of our website.
At present, we still send them work every now and then.
What is the team composition?
We work with Dawid, who helps us with strategies. Then, a designer helps us with the UI/UX design of the software. Two other people help us with website design.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
I found Riotters on Dribble, a platform where people could share their design work. I hired them because they had a portfolio that matched the style I wanted. On top of that, it looked like they’d done some apps that seemed relevant to our platform.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our website traffic has increased by 50% since launching its redesigned version, though that’s also partially attributed to the software itself. We’ve also been getting a 75% increase in installs since launching the software’s new version.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
Riotters’ project management was good. I’ve been pretty hands-off with them; they’re self-starters, so I don’t have to handhold them a lot. To communicate, we use emails and Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their design expertise is the best part of working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should check in more with me before finishing designs and send more progress updates while designing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Set clear milestones on wireframes and designs; move slow.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder and CEO of The Build, and we're the developers of a project management tool for residential contractors. It integrates the execution of ordering building materials and the management of projects.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters?
We needed someone to help us with the UI/UX design of our mobile app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The bulk of the work we have with Riotters is basically the design and wireframe of the overall look and feel of the mobile app. They helped me develop some critical features in terms of providing me with feedback and overall direction.
One of the app’s core features is the ability to link distributors with contractors. This is initiated by having contractors create a materials list — which is a process that’s currently done via email. After which we’ll automate it so that the contractor can have a database with all the previous materials they requested for a project.
These materials are then bid on or quoted by local distributors, depending on the contractor’s angle. What separates us from other project management software is that all of our gathered data are then brought into the tool, where users can take advantage of other features such as crew management, budgeting, data management, and calendar management.
Apart from that, they also created an animated promotional video for us, to basically showcase the app’s features.
We’ve currently re-engaged with them to pivot our product's MVP in terms of strategy and approach — they’re now helping us build a web version of the app for our contractor. They’re working on taking the project management features to the next level, so that we can have a paid version of the app. This app will be more comprehensive with newly added features such as invoicing and communication.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with the owner, but there are probably 3–4 people involved in the project.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
I was searching for companies that were focused on global subcontracting when I found Riotters — I interviewed and hired them then.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve invested about $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
My engagement with them started in February 2018, and it’s been ongoing since then.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We launched the free version of the app back in July, and we’ve received positive feedback about the look and feel of it. It’s simplistic but sleek, and we’ve heard good things about the overall aesthetic and flow of it.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been very good from a project management standpoint. They basically underpromise and overdeliver — they would never commit to something they can’t do.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed by their listening skills and how they execute what we discuss — they stay on point, on budget, and actively listen to our requests.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would say to have a more junior person involved in the project to basically continue the management of the relationship. Having someone handle the day-to-day and to engage with would be great at the moment. However, I can’t complain too much because I love the fact that I always have the owner of the company’s ear.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The best advice I could give is to get to know what you want and narrow down your focus, so you can figure out what you need to accomplish.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a mobile app for musicians. The platform allows users to play songs and songwriters to interact with their audience.
What challenge were you trying to address with Riotters
We needed help with the general interface design for our app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Riotters helps us with the UI/UX design in terms of wireframing, color schemes, and everything in that regard for our Android and iOS app. The deliverables also include a clickable prototype for user testing and high-fidelity designs that we can hand off to our app developer.
At the beginning of the project, we made a discovery and whiteboard for the development. The following month and a half after that, we made a lo-fi version of the interface, which is where they designed the app and got the aesthetic aspects done, like our logo and brand guidelines. In addition to those efforts, they also created a dashboard for our marketing website on WordPress.
Currently, they’re working on a new feature for our platform.
What is the team composition?
We’ve been working with 6–7 people, including the logo designer, the website developer, the app developer, and so on.
How did you come to work with Riotters?
I found them on a web marketplace site and reached out to them because their portfolio stood out for me.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $25,000–$50,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2018. We launched the site in March 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
As of today, we have over 15,000 downloads and 12,000 different artists with $500,000 in transactions on the platform. People love our app; it’s easy to use, and they’re making money with it, so we’ve had positive feedback.
How did Riotters perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication has been great; we use Slack to talk to each other in a responsive approach. They also meet deadlines in teme, which is top-notch.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understand and get the full scope of the project, which is essential. They know our needs and combine that with their incredible eye for design.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — they’re great.

Director of Product Marketing at a data company
For what projects/services did your company hire Riotters?
We needed a talented and reliable design to update our website, assist with a re-branding effort, and create marketing materials (sales pitch decks and documents) on an ongoing basis to support our scaling growth
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked for designers on IDEO, Behance, and Dribbble since those were the best websites to review design portfolios and historical work. We decided to reach out to Riotters because their designs were modern and compelling and matched the aspirations for our changing brand.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After an exploratory call with Riotters, we gave them an initial project of improving the layout for our online blog. The results were impressive and we knew right away they would make a great partner. After that, we've been working with them on an ongoing basis. We maintain regular communication over Slack and email since they are a remote, international team. They have helped with new website landing pages (designed in Figma), sales pitch decks, sales one-sheets, executive presentations, new icons and graphics, and everything in between.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Each of their team members specialize in a different area of design but they all work collaboratively to produce great work. We work with 1-2 project managers and 3-4 designers, at any given time.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Riotter's design work has definitely impacted our business in a positive way, from elevating our brand, to help our sales team close more deals, to driving more traffic for our website.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective. I was initially worried about the time difference for scheduling regular meetings but so far we've been able to work collaboratively entirely over Figma, Slack, and email. No regular meetings needed, which saves time!
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their communication is stellar; it helps us stay on track.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
At times, the designs don't match up with the message we'd like to get across; however, this may be due to our company working in a niche space, requiring some level of domain expertise.

GoDocs is a software company that sells to banks, credit unions, and private lenders.
For what projects/services did your company hire Riotters?
We needed to redesign our entire marketing website.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
It was based on their communication style and their portfolio. Riotters stood above all the candidates we interviewed.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Project Kickoff: Riotters discussed the project plan, the deliverables, and the deadlines. During the project: Riotters hit every deadline and communicated along the way. Post project: Riotters did a good job of making any remaining edits we needed.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Just 1. The founder of Riotters worked with us.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We just launched the site yesterday so unfortunately, I don't have any results.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Great! It was very smooth and they were excellent at communicating throughout the project. The only issue we ran into was the timezones. We are in the United States and our designer is in Poland so there were only about 4 hours a day that we overlapped.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their speed and ability to hit deadlines were impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Some of the sizings of the artboards were a little off so we just had to adjust them when coding the site. It wasn't a big deal but it required a little more dev work. Also, the use of shadows was very strong in the designs, making it tough to code. But other than that they were amazing!!
Thanks to the engaging, user-friendly, and responsive site designed by Riotters, the client has seen a significant increase in mobile traffic and younger visitors engaging with the site. The team is hardworking, committed, and available, acting as an extension of the client’s team.
