Immersive Gamebox is uniting the world through technology-enabled shared play. Our Gameboxes combine projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking, and surround sound technologies to create an entirely new form o­­­f digital entertainment. I’m the CTO of the company and responsible for our hardware and software platform

We worked with Rightsoft on multiple apps and internal tools to be used in our Gameboxes. We wanted to have a reliable software partner to deliver these tools quickly. We also wanted to use the right programming languages for the tasks.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We know Rightsoft directors from their previous work. They reached out to us to see if there’s any partnership possibilities. We started working with them on a small project. We were pleased with the communication and the outcome so we moved on to the next projects.

We asked them to modernize the existing tools written in C++ . We were in search of a new development partner whom we can work more efficiently with. Rightsoft re-wrote an image processing tool using Python and added many features to the tool to increase its convenience. This tool needed to be up and running continuously for many hours, so the resilience of the software was quite important. As the next project, they developed a speech to text tool.

The challenge with this was the speech commands were at most a couple words long and they didn’t have any context. So, there were phonetically the same words which were not possible to deduct from the context. After their R&D they came up with the metaphone algorithm which solved the issue. Lastly, they built another application to control the cameras in our game boxes. Previously we had raspberry pi cams, Rightsoft implemented an x86 solution that works with all plug-and-play cameras.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It is now considerably easier to see the status of the tools since they introduced a GUI for the internal tool. We have less app crashes or issues with the tools. Since we’re a startup trying to build a new platform, we need to introduce new features and/or games frequently. Thanks to their solid software structure, they can respond these requests swiftly.

We communicated through Slack. They were extremely responsive. We had analysis sessions to communicate the requirements, the next couple of weeks we had the project delivered. They were consistent with their timelines and budgets. There wasn’t any surprise cost for us and they are adding features without any additional cost if they think that’s the right way to go.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Everyone on the team are veteran developers. This shows a lot in their analysis skills, forecasting the problems before implementation and coming up with the most accurate solutions. They have also exceptionally quick turn around time for our requests / questions.

We are happy with their services and they’re our ongoing vendor.

I'm the CTO of a global finTech payment services company providing cashless payment and data services to all B2C organisations who no longer wish to transact with hard currencies.

We needed to diversify our business away from a traditional RFID based event services company into a fast moving white label e-wallet business providing cashless payment services to clients and customers across multiple sectors in wide ranging global locations.

They helped design and develop a cloud based digital wallet using AWS cloud services and modern scalable infrastructure and MicroServices application solutions e.g Kubernetes EKS and Angular, ReactJS etc. The organisation and RightSoft were under extreme pressure to launch the new wallet in time for the start of the NFL season (Sept 2020) in North America with 2 marquis clients being Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. This was successfully achieved with positive feedback from the clients and internal Tappit stakeholders.

There were initially 2 key people from RightSoft and this rose to 6 over the course of the engagement. Team comprised of 1 x Tech Lead, 4 x Engineers and 1 x QA Tester.

The new digital wallet was extremely successful enabling the business to expand the roll out to other clients in the NFL, NBA and MLB

The engagement with RightSoft was agile in nature using tools such as Slack, GitLab and GitHub to communicate alongside regular virtual video meetings to maintain positive development momentum and transparent and robust comms.

They have exceptional engineering skills, a can-do attitude, and competitive pricing. They also provided a high velocity and high-quality output.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was suggested by another colleague who worked with Rightsoft before. Being a medium size team was one of the deciding factors as I didn't want to deal with a big firm that would keep postponing the deadlines.

Being in the industry for 15 years, I can judge if a company would be able to deliver what they promise, and both Burak & Emrah were very professional and assuring in our initial meetings.

Since we worked on multiple projects, it's difficult to tell them one by one, but overall we worked on defining the scope of releases together, they guided with the technologies to whether if we should go with native or flutter. We had weekly followup meetings to review the progress, which were smooth and bug-free most of the times.

We worked with Rightsoft for our own clients (not our own projects), hence we don't have any data, but we never had a negative feedback with the launch or maintenance of the projects

Weekly meetings over zoom/hangouts, where either Burak or Emrah explained the progress and next steps clearly, while the developers also expressed potential challenges that would require our attention. We also used Slack for day to day communication,

Everyone in the team was exceptionally prompt with our questions and had an excellent project management to track the assignments. They're also great problem solvers - it's not that rare a development firm to keep finding excuses why certain things can't happen, but that wasn't the case with Rightsoft

I’m a director and founder of Find Your Paws.

We needed development support for launching a website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The website was built from scratch, and we provided them with UX/UI design to start. We are currently finished with phase one and are in discussions about moving forward with phase two. The website presently acts as a holding page for our customers and is hosted on DigitalOcean. Rightsoft LTD is also planning to offer maintenance services.

We invested £3,600 (approximately $4,300 USD). We believe the total cost of the project will be around £25,000 (approximately $30,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between June–October 2022. We will be working with them again on phase two of the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve provided us with high-quality work, and they were very consistent with implementing feedback. We particularly noticed that the backend development and coding quality is very good. 

How did Rightsoft LTD perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered things on time and stayed on budget; they also provided good communication throughout. We used Trello, Slack, Google Meet, and email for communication and project management. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand our company and what we need. They were very fair about their rates and charged competitive prices. The team from Rightsoft LTD is dedicated and works long hours; they also have strong backend developers. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We wish there had been a little more attention to detail with the frontend design.

We are a full service design and marketing primarily focused on the property sector. I'm the UX Projects Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rightsoft LTD, and what were your goals?

As a design and marketing agency we had a very small team of developers producing iOS based apps for property sales environments. Experience of Windows or server side was limited, so the main objective was to commission a cloud based CMS which enabled non developers to build multiple applications quickly and a UWP front end that was simple to install and maintain.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Rightsoft were referred to us by a trusted colleague. Examples of previous work along with experience and knowledge of the peculiar property market were the deciding factors.

We asked Rightsoft to create a fully configurable multi touch desktop application to be used in marketing suites. Initially the target was building a multi user / multi-touch wall application. Later on they built the kiosk version to be used in windows tablets and also smaller screens.

Later on our clients asked us to support ios platforms, so they built an ipad application as a separate front end. Lastly we asked them to support 3d site plans so they embedded Unity3d to UWP.

Initially this was a start up with the two companies founders producing the bulk of the work. This was expanded over time to include remote workers and paid employees.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

From producing 10/15 applications a year for a couple of clients, the new software product helped us expand swiftly to 70 a year for multiple clients. We managed to save costs by having fewer costly developers in house, whilst employing cheaper labour. The same clients are still using the same product 5 years later.

Generally, each task was scoped and costed in advance and approved. Communication was excellent quick and informative, flagging any issues that might effect the timeline in plenty of time all via email, phone, trello, github.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to schedule tasks/projects within our usual tight timeframes and their array of developer knowledge, experience and languages.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some of the testing could be improved on, we felt that in some instances, new features were not always tested properly, but that was probably due to our tight timelines more than anything, that's what testing is for though. Generally, very happy with them.

We had a brief for a multiplayer interactive quiz to engage sales teams in a product training process, which required the local teams to input their own questions and and answers, but also for the experience to be controlled via gamepads.
