Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of GoGetter Inc., a two-sided marketplace for technology contractors.
What challenge were you trying to address with RevInfotech?
We needed help to build a couple of website pages and to automate tasks.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They did web development for our job listing platform using PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular.js, and MySQL. They developed the static homepages for our website and also the automation process within the website, such as timesheets. We liked their work and continued giving them tasks. They helped in rolling out a solid number of modules connected to our website.
What is the team composition?
There were 4-5 people; multiple teammates helped as needed at various intervals. There was a project manager and the CEO was involved.
How did you come to work with RevInfotech?
We created a profile on Upwork and we got in touch with RevInfotech. We chose them because of their prices and they answered most of our questions.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $65,000–$70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from April 2016–June 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Although we haven’t rolled out the new site yet, the quality of their work was great.
How did RevInfotech perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management was good. They completed their part of the product on time. Their team was available around the clock for me, especially the CEO. We communicated via Jira and GitHub and they also used Trello, for a while.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their speed in optimizing performance was great. However, I haven’t worked with other providers to compare.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The communication between our teams could have been better; we struggled with one of their teammates.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d suggest staying in contact with the CEO.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and CEO of INKISH.TV. We make films for the printing industry as well as software to focus their business.
What challenge were you trying to address with RevInfotech?
We needed help with some app development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They began by working on some apps for us. The more we worked with them, the more we committed to each other, and the scope expanded into web development—they developed our platform from scratch, allowing us to move on from our old one.
It’s built on a WordPress platform, which we moved to from a bigger enterprise platform. I was a little concerned when they suggested this, but it’s worked out very well for us. All of our videos are uploaded and managed through YouTube. They created an integration between YouTube and WordPress, and custom-made the design to make sure that it displays our content in a way that really aligned with our brand values.
We’re going to be doing some integration with JSON and RESTful API, as well as other new technologies, but that is still underway.
What is the team composition?
We have multiple projects with them right now, with one point of contact for everything. We had a meeting with management several weeks ago as well as two other people.

How much have you invested in them?

We began working with them in March 2017, and the work is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve received extremely good feedback from a lot of people. We have about 130,000 viewers on the platform, and we receive a lot of positive comments about the improved usability of the new platform.
Overall, the software they’ve developed has had a positive impact. They’re doing what we ask of them, developing software with fast turnaround time, and accommodating our needs. It’s a combination of having the right ideas from our side and the right people to implement them—they’re important in this sense.
How did RevInfotech perform from a project management standpoint?
As an owner of a platform, I like to have detailed technical documentation, but we haven’t gotten that. They do provide us with user manuals, which makes it easy to utilize what they have developed. From that perspective, it’s great, but from an owner perspective, I would like more. My biggest concern with outsourcing is always that if the company goes out of business or there is a conflict, we’re reliant on that third-party.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a really good understanding of what we want to achieve and are a very responsive team. Though they lack some understanding of Western work culture, they are generally a very responsive team. I’ve been outsourcing in India for 15 years, and they are one of the better companies I’ve worked with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would like to work with a company that is even more involved in my business. They obviously have more than one client, and so we are always in line for when they have time. Since we’re a small company, we aren’t always that responsive and want them ready when we are. It’s unrealistic to have those expectations, and they are not bad at all, but from time to time, it could be better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
No, I can't name anything.
Although not launched yet, the website’s quality is stable and streamlined thanks to RevInfotech’s work. Their team’s timeliness and efficiency contributed to producing a high-quality final product. Though improved communication would enable a smoother collaboration, they were a strong partner.
