There is a worldwide personal branding trend in B2B marketing. Basically, it can be described as “getting public personally acquainted with company’s top-management”. More an more entrepreneurs now understand the importance of personal image.
So here’s the tricky thing for B2B marketers: How are they supposed to elevate clients’ personal branding?
Then we have realized that our CEO has a Quora account, that has been registered in far 2013 but had no considerable activity. So we have thought: why don’t we try that? And we tried. And the results were surprising!

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of a software development company based in Kiev, Ukraine. We develop apps with broad functionalities. Although we have a few clients in the law industry, we develop any kind of app in general.
What challenge were you trying to address with Respect.Studio?
We generated most of our clients through inbound marketing, so we went to Respect.Studio for help with an outbound strategy.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Respect.Studio put together a vast outbound marketing strategy for us, and they then ran a marketing campaign based on it. They also ran a market and competitor analysis, and they developed a brand positioning for us. Now, we have everything ready to deploy future marketing activities.
In addition to that, Respect.Studio developed a pipeline, including the top and bottom of the funnel. It specifies what content should be in each area, how it should be approached, and which marketing channels can be used. Additionally, they transferred our lead database from an Excel spreadsheet to HubSpot.
Finally, they gave us a list of potential providers who could help us with our content because they were mostly focused on marketing strategy and other related activities. The marketing strategy they created was aimed at LinkedIn, which was their main focus. SEO was included in that strategy, and it was a part of their lead generation service.
What is the team composition?
I communicated mainly with the account manager and the project manager from Respect.Studio. There were also two people directly involved in the marketing strategy. The same two people worked on LinkedIn lead generation, and they also added two email marketers. Iurii (Founder & CEO) was also responsive throughout the engagement, always ready to answer any question I had.
How did you come to work with Respect.Studio?
I found them through a Google search. I looked at their competitors as well, but Respect.Studio was the most responsive company. They immediately reacted to the webform I filled out, and I connected with Iurii for a discussion. I was pretty satisfied with the pricing and the services they provided.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $50,000–$55,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Respect.Studio in May 2021. I put the project on pause in late October 2021, because we were coming to the beginning of the high season, and we would have enough projects to deal with. However, I’m satisfied with the collaboration, so we will continue our engagement in February 2022, at the start of the new season.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The LinkedIn lead generation activities got us a few new clients in just the first few months of implementing them. Additionally, Respect.Studio’s performance was at a very high level. They provided me with comprehensive reports covering my acceptance rates, bounce rates, and other relevant metrics, and all the information helped us have a successful lead generation campaign.
How did Respect.Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
Respect.Studio’s performance was almost ideal. We scheduled all calls beforehand, and I was always made aware of what was happening with the project. They were in contact with me all the time, and they gave me weekly reports. Everything was delivered on time.
We had monthly calls with the entire team through Google Meet. They didn’t reach out to me constantly or require me to stay involved in the process at all times. I didn’t use project management tools on my side, but Respect.Studio did.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The marketing strategy that Respect.Studio delivered was impressive. When I was first looking at the document, it was more than 75-slides long, and they were all filled out with really valuable information — it described everything. I was also impressed by their scheduling and communication skills.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We had some internet connection problems, but that happens to everyone. Additionally, the lead generation service was sometimes overloaded with actionable items, which was slightly frustrating. However, everything else was fine.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
The client should gather as much information as possible about their company because they might receive questions they don’t have answers for. Respect.Studio sent me an onboarding form before the work started, and I spent a lot of time coming up with answers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Respect.Studio, and what were your goals?
We got stuck in a sort of vacuum. When the quarantine started, our service started to lose relevance and popularity, and with that, it was necessary to do something quickly. And most importantly, we needed a new solution, because we have already tried many marketing techniques, and it didn't work well.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I saw the confirmed cases of their work on their site, so I became interested and we schedule a call with the Respect team. After talking to their CEO - Iurii, I decided that they should help us cause they seem to be highly professional.

In general, I appreciated that they have a very detailed approach to the work. It was like planning a long trip - we filled out several onboarding forms, they studied the information about us in detail, we talked about our problems and predicted results. Then - voila - lead generation via LINKEDIN helps us get much more contacts than we expected. One month of email campaigns gave us four calls.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We contacted the project manager and the account manager the most. Also, I had a call with lead generators because it was the first experience of such a process, and I knew almost nothing about it. I want to note that I am quite a skeptical person, and I often deny something new and alternative, but this young team impressed me with its professionalism.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We had monthly calls and weely sync-up updates call; we were constantly in touch with the Respect team like every week. I've watched all the dashboards and reports, so the data was up to date; we had seen the daily progress and all the mover forward. One thing that impressed me the most - that LinkedIn could work for us and find OUR specific clients.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had a plan with regular calls, and when to do a specific kind of action, we were working with the unique email and LinkedIn algorithm made for us. They have a really personalized approach.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I’m the CMO of Solus Agency. We are a company that provides marketing support for different startups, blockchain projects, and other similar projects.
What challenge were you trying to address with Respect.Studio?
We hired Respect.Studio to help us with LinkedIn consulting, lead generation, and content creation. We needed someone to help our company build a bridge to the US market, as well as help drive more calls to our sales team to fill up our pipeline.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Respect.Studio conducted a detailed briefing of the project to understand our goals, services, and target audience. During the preparation part, they prepared a content strategy and LinkedIn script. The team also optimized four of our LinkedIn accounts and they also created a client list that compromises clients that we thought are good to have.
Once the campaign began, they started preparing the email campaigns. These include working with our domain to secure the outreach, the creation of the email script, automation of the campaign, and linking it between our CRM system.

We managed to generate 500 calls from our four profiles in 10 months. At the very beginning, it was really about preparing, designing, and writing the script. We started to get good results in the middle of the second month. It started with a huge amount of frozen communication between our profiles and our target audience.
Slowly but surely, these communications were going down to our desired pipeline and to a call from our sales team. At the end of the second month, we received around eight calls from our profiles. For the third month, the number of calls was around 13 for each profile. By the end of the third month, we started seeing results from the email campaign, too.
In the fifth month, we started getting results from content creation and generation as we’ve got some inbound requests from links and connections.
How did Respect.Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
They were doing pretty good, but it took some time for us to collaborate with them because we are different companies with different speeds. We never had any problems with communication and meetings.
The main problems for us were hard clients. We prepared several segments of our target clients and we wanted to have their information. But it was not very smooth at the beginning because the target audiences were a bit hard. But when Respect.Studio started with their insights, everything was running smoothly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their case studies and level of communication were really impressive. They really know the ins and outs of LinkedIn, and they are real professionals. They know some of the deep points that we would never even think about, so they’re really impressive. I was also quite impressed by the depth of their knowledge and the suggestions they made during the campaign.
The communication we had between our team was exceptionally good. They have a constant desire to test and optimize different approaches. They showed that they wanted to be the best service provider.

During both campaigns, Respect.Studio’s main responsibility was to generate qualified B2B leads so our sales team could process them, thus boosting growth. However, this was not the only field of responsibility, as RS team was also involved in content strategy development. video production, and the overall marketing strategy.
What were your goals for this project?
The first campaign was aimed at European fashion market penetration. Our product was a cutting-edge SaaS solution that would enable professionals to establish B2B connections much quicker than how it is done now. The other campaign was focused on B2B Lead Generation, promoting a unique business analytics tool, tailored specifically for eCommerce sector.

Respect.Studio’s team were tightly cooperating with my internal team, taking responsibility for the development of the overall digital marketing strategy, including the digital channels analysis, competitor analysis, and initial target audience assessment. Based on these insights, they have developed a promotion plan that was mainly focused on but not limited to LinkedIn lead generation.
Besides LinkedIn lead generation activities (which included profile optimization, message script writing, target audience setup, and continuous improvements of the abovementioned), Respect.Studio’s scope of work included: - content production (for LinkedIn & Facebook); - video production (creation of short promo videos, showcasing product to be used during PPC and SMM campaigns); - advisory (in our cooperation with Respect.Studio, they were open to share their knowledge in order to improve our overall marketing results).
During both campaigns, I and my team took proactive part in the ongoing process, providing quality assurance and guidance when it comes to everything except lead generation. When it comes to lead generation - I have trusted Respect.Studio on the overall approach and implementation, checking only the messaging script that was used.
Respect.Studio’s direct responsibilities were content creation and distribution through social media channels. While content creation part needed proactive involvement from our side to have everything done properly, the lead generation part was implemented swiftly and smoothly. One of the best features of Respect.Studio is their continuous improvement that was done autonomously. On a weekly basis, the team analyzed ongoing results and has come up with some ideas on how to do their work better.
What was the team composition?
During the two projects, team composition has differed a bit because the campaigns took place with some delay, during which Respect.Studio has hired some new people. Here’s the breakdown of the team: - Iurii - CEO - Victoria - Business developer - Anastasia & Kate - Project managers - Vasyl - Lead Generation manager - Taras - Content manager There were also some subcontractors who have done video production, but I am not directly acquainted with them.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
While the first campaign was stopped a couple of month after launch, the results are far from satisfying. However, it would be fair to say that it was not caused by the team’s incompetence or something. There were some unpredicted external factors that have made us to stop any marketing activities. However, this campaign has resulted in a much better understanding of the target market, as RS lead generation involves direct interaction with the target audience, so they were able to collect some valuable insights for us.
We have our second campaign running for the 3rd month and so far the results are optimistic. To be honest, I do not feel the tangible revenue boost at this point, but I see the promising traction and the approach of the working team makes me think that they will adapt their activities until the result is achieved.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It would not be fair to state that everything went perfect. There were some delays in content production and some errors done during lead generation. However, none of these errors has caused serious damage and there were also mistakes done by our side as well. Overall, I would say that the great agility of both teams enabled them to adapt to the ever-changing environment and manage resources efficiently to get the desired results.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
As I have mentioned before - I believe that the best feature of RS is their agility and adaptiveness. This is the exact feature that gives the ability to react to the changes in a swift manner. Besides that, they were not afraid to go the extra mile and do some things that are not included in their usual offer to meet the needs of the campaign.
It is also important to mention that RS have their communication on a very high level, showing responsiveness and being able to communicate every potential error before it actually happens. They are also really transparent about their processes, so it was not a problem for me to have a clear understanding of what is being done at particular moment.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Respect.Studio definitely need some improvement on the content creation side, as this process seems to be unstable and sometimes took more time than expected. There also were some minor errors in lead generation because of a misunderstanding of who are we looking for.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a company called Strategrow. We do strategic consulting services, market strategy, sales processes, and training.
What challenge were you trying to address with Respect.Studio?
I built the business by going to networking events and talking to people. I’d pitch up to 50 people per event on my business so we could bootstrap it without external investment. However, we were looking for a way to scale up lead generation through LinkedIn.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team provided LinkedIn lead generation. They would reach out to our target audience, message them, and follow up on our behalf. In terms of our profile, they would optimize it and keep us updated on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
They would notify us when there was someone read to speak with me. They were able to generate calls and good business from that.
What is the team composition?
There were three people. We had a project manager who delegated responsibilities to the rest of the team. They also added a content manager who was responsible for putting together the messaging materials we were using. Lastly, there was an account manager who did the execution work of implementing that content.
How did you come to work with Respect.Studio?
Initially, we were looking for different vendors online in Ukraine. We made a contact who introduced us to them on LinkedIn. They were able to step in and provide high-level service.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in August 2019 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve generated hundreds of leads, perhaps thousands after a few months. The quality of the people we’re speaking with is really good. They’re engaged and like what they’re hearing.
Their team is also very proactive and data-driven. They wanted A/B testing and other approaches to see what would work. Over the long term, the relationship and results improved because of their approach. The results were improved because of their approach to lead generation.
How did Respect.Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
We work directly with Kate (Project Manager) on their team. She was great and kept everything organized and on-time. The onboarding was done ahead of schedule. The weekly reports and daily prompts were sent very quickly. They’re in Ukraine, so they’d send answers by the morning.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their expertise in LinkedIn is impressive. They’ve showed me how LinkedIn works and how you can push the limits of the platform. The data is also great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. Because they weren’t native speakers, sometimes the messaging needed to be perfected and more nuanced for specific markets, like Canada.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Look for a long-term relationship with them. It’s different than traditional marketing because you need to build relationships with decision-makers in your target audience. Let them build rapport, push out content, and build awareness.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Respect. Studio discovered new B2B clients for us by identifying ideal target clients and providing options for how to move forward. They also manually searched on LinkedIn for the clients.
They provided us with valid, precise, and really cool analyses at the end of each period in a report. In the end, we received high-quality suggestions on how to develop our LinkedIn lead generation strategies.

We started working with Respect.Studio three months ago around June 2019. We’re working with them on a monthly basis, for ongoing client support.

We’ve seen a 1% increase in conversions month-over-month. Respect.Studio has attracted some really hot leads, including a lead for a sales manager position.
How did Respect.Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve got a Telegram channel, which enabled us to have fast conversations and react to the issues that came up.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very structured. The information they provide makes it feel as if they own the process. The reporting was also well-developed, which helped a lot. Their competitors didn’t provide such extensive monthly reporting.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could change the messenger to something like Slack. It’s not always convenient to share business information through the one we’re using.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
It’s important to share as much information from the client side as possible.

These leads were formatted in a good style where I could just click and reply to an interested party. We also had a conference and were booking some meetings (a few of which were international) at a pretty good rate.

They reached out on a weekly basis and were responsive, sometimes even drawing our attention to specific leads in the middle of the week. We weren’t expecting this and greatly appreciated it, seeing as we wouldn’t have checked the leads that frequently on our own.

They’re really price efficient.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing they need to improve right now. We plan to use them for different services in the future.

They find your targets, but you have to narrow the pool on your own beforehand because you could target too wide of an audience.

For what projects/services did your company hire Respect.Studio?
Before engaging Respect.Studio, we were mostly working within our national market, which had certain limitations. As a result, we sought to expand our client base with international leads, mainly targeting the U.S. market.
What were your goals for this project?
Our ultimate goal was to diversify our clientele portfolio with western companies; in other words, we wanted to get projects from the U.S. We needed a digital strategy as well as an alternative approach to those prospects.
How did you select this vendor?
A local IT outsourcing company recommended them to us. At the time, Respect.Studio was also helping them develop marketing campaigns for U.S. audiences. Ultimately, the communication between our teams and their expertise were the deciding factors for us.

Initially, we had a series of meetings where we educated them on our business model and possible target audiences. They worked closely with us to narrow down our audience and create a more personalized approach. Next, they developed a strategy to contact and deliver offers to our targets; the team was involved in writing the script. We used LinkedIn as our main channel, later adding email marketing as an alternative venture. They led our outbound marketing campaigns and continue to front our strategies.

Since the beginning of their involvement, we’ve significantly diversified our clientele portfolio and saw leads within the first month of the campaign. We’ve been able to successfully shift our focus to the U.S. market and have completely redesigned our service in response.
Although LinkedIn campaigns are becoming increasingly common, Respect.Studio developed a unique approach that helped us stand out from our competition. So far, we’ve built several thousand connections within LinkedIn alone. As we generated more dialogues with these new contacts, we’ve gained about 400 unique leads and have converted a large number of them into current and future projects.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They’ve assigned a project manager who is in charge of all campaign changes, but we also have access to their CEO in case we need to brainstorm new ideas. Additionally, we maintain daily contact with the account manager who sends us lead updates and provides weekly/monthly reports on our campaign performance.
In terms of communication, we use Skype and Google Spreadsheets to coordinate and manage our workflow. They’re always open to feedback and have already implemented a few of our suggestions.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
What makes them unique is that they have an alternative approach to outbound marketing campaigns. Unlike classic marketing agencies, they try to find direct lines to our target company’s decision makers. I’m particularly impressed by their LinkedIn marketing tactics. Not to mention, they’re responsive; they typically reply within minutes and apply our feedback as soon as possible. This allows us to remain agile during our campaigns.
Are there any areas for improvement?
It would be nice if they specialized in other channels besides LinkedIn and email marketing. This would allow us to further scale our marketing efforts.
