Hilding Anders Croatia is a bedding producer and retailer operating in SE Europe. It's most famous brand is Hespo known for the mattresses and Hotel beds. My current position is Online Sales Manager.
For what projects/services did your company hire Resonate Digital, and what were your goals?
Resonate Digital was appointed to design and manage the development process of our new Hespo e-commerce store. Goal was to develop top Web that can represent brand, its tradition and know-how in the industry merged with great experience of online shopping.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected them based on the pitch were few of the best development agencies from Croatia took part. Resonate D. demonstrated extremely deep dive in the industry and products in very short period, resulting with great solutions and design.

We’re a small company in Iceland, and we needed extra help with marketing.

I was at a conference and met a company similar to ours that was using Resonate Digital for their marketing. I thought that it would be a great opportunity for our team to have a strategic partner like them.

We’ve paid them between $30,000–$50,000 so far. The cost varies depending on the amount of work we need.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Resonate Digital in October 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They're really helpful in marketing and deliver what we want them to. Our site launched four weeks ago, so we’re hoping to get more traffic to it.
How did Resonate Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They're fantastic in project management, as well. At the beginning of each project, we get a full timetable from them that lists each task they'll deliver. We then speak with our main point of contact for 90 minutes each week to wrap up the work for that week and prepare for the next one. Resonate Digital has completed everything on time, and they push us to get better in this area.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It's the structure of their team. They have highly specialized, competent members who are very creative in their work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I think they’re just perfect.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I would definitely recommend them. Resonate Digital has a lot of experience in digital marketing.

Resonate Digital has helped us grow our business in new potential markets. Since we're already quite stable in Iceland, we set our eyes on Europe as an opportunity to develop our niche.
Their team worked with us to expand our strategies. They gave us insights as to which European competitors had the same software that we did. They showed us where we’re strong, where we could focus, and what we could do for our advertising.
What is the team composition?
They assigned a team of four people with different roles. For this part, we worked with one other person who hadn't worked with us on the prior project.
How did you come to work with Resonate Digital?
This is our third project with them. We chose them for the ongoing work because their prior work was on point. They were so focused and structured, delivering just as they said they would. They always went the extra mile than what we expected.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an electrical management company. We help large and small organizations to optimize their energy usage. We enable customers to save 15-20% on energy.
We provide asset monitoring where we ensure that large motors, freezers, coolers are behaving normally. We also offer services in the environmental regulation sector; especially for larger operations, it’s becoming important to report on energy usage.
What challenge were you trying to address with Resonate Digital?
We wanted to increase our sales. Our product has performed stably, but we haven’t had the market success that we feel our solution deserves.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team conducted double-phased industry research to shed light on our market situation. In the first phase, they looked for issues in our partner network (our sales are primarily through partners, instead of directly to end-users.) They also analyzed competitors and leading market players to discern our position among them.
The second phase focused on our sales operations. They analyzed our sales performance over the years, looking at incoming leads and website visitors. Then, they gave us recommendations based on both components of that study—given to us in a couple of hundred slides.
Based on those two phases, we defined a unique program to offer to our corporate clients. The program seeks to address how we offer the same solution to different energy companies that are all competing with one another (so they struggle to distinguish themselves from one another).
Our new program allows each company to provide value-added services to their buyers to potentially lock in longer contracts with them.
They also helped us implement a general partnership program, an idea that we’d played with before. We spent time selecting partners based on their type and location, and identifying different trade shows that we could participate in.
They then created an entirely new website for us. They produced the content for the website using the interviews they conducted with us. The first version launched last month (September) but we’re continuing to iterate on it.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a team of four people, all working in a different capacity. They’ve also outsourced part of the project. The website development and copy, for example, were executed by a company in Croatia.

We chose them based on Resonate Digital’s previous work with two other companies in the same building.

We started working together in May 2019 and the relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
While their solid business impact is still pending, I’ve been very impressed by their research. They’ve exhibited a clear grasp of the solution, our mission, and how we fit into the world.
They’ve helped us understand our place in the world a lot better. Their work was received very warmly by our board of directors, as well. For both research phases, the team joined our board meeting to deliver an executive summary of their work. They thought it was great.
How did Resonate Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management has been very good. There have been slight delays, but nothing beyond the ordinary. For the most part, deadlines have been met. They do a good job of pushing us when they need something; they hunt us down and get their answers. We’ve been able to rely on them as they’ve required very little overhead.
What did you find most impressive about them?
One outstanding development is that they were able to identify the efficacy of our marketing and sales efforts. They considered important market variables like energy costs and then made insightful recommendations based on that whole analysis. We were blown away by their work there.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They do an excellent job in general — no particular pointers for improvement.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make yourself available to answer their questions. The time that goes into it will pay off. Make sure you’re available throughout the whole project, especially when it’s approaching deadlines.

My team worked with the leadership team and their key staff throughout the process. They were available and very responsive to our ideas and concerns. Throughout the process, they presented solutions to what they heard from interviews and ideas that were reasonable and feasible for our project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We received a clear plan that was implementable for the next phase of the project. With this plan we were able to move forward with our IT department to begin the integration of the website into our CMS platform.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They were all accessible and responsible for the project. We never felt lost or that there were deadlines in jeopardy of being missed. They kept to the schedule and were very supportive in guiding us to stay on track.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their passion for the work, their active listening skills combined with their critical and thoughtful feedback. They were solutions-driven but very agile in learning about our business and why an idea may or may not work. Their agenda was to support our agenda.

Our goal was to identify use cases to achieve successful sales. We also had the challenge to recognize the best moment in the buyer’s journey for upselling. An important task was defining the best working sales collateral and shaping the benefits of the product so buyers can quickly recognize the value.

One partner recommended us to work with this agency according to our need. After the interview, we decided that they could cover our needs, and we liked their approach.

They conducted target buyer interviews, which helped us see users' behavior patterns on different conversion stages. They also developed several options of product offer and value proposition. They created the sales pitch deck and collateral; and presented digital product design improvements.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We see many growth opportunities by focusing more on the main target groups; it definitely helps us to prepare more relevant content and sales approach to boost our business metrics.

We had planned meetings with the project manager to review interim results and get feedback. I also appreciate their support and unexpected short calls to let me know some essential points they'd just discovered during interviews. That helped me to operate quickly and be ahead of the curve in some cases.

Their commitment to learning about our business, doing the necessary research, and presenting a defined approach for the project at the very start was impressive. We felt that they cared about our business challenges and helped us reach our goals. They are result-oriented and are very attentive to details; they broke no deadline.

I'd like to have more interviews, but my final deadline didn't allow us to have more.
The updated online store has resulted in a 400% improvement in conversion rate and a 260% increase in sales when compared to the previous iteration. Resonate Digital grasped the client's needs, communicated well, and ensured that all stakeholders were engaged in every step of the development cycle.
