I’m the co-founder and sales director of Sign On Tab, a software provider. We offer a solution for the healthcare industry to digitize paper. We convert paper documents into digital wallets so that forms can be filled out on a tablet screen or remotely instead of on paper.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rekos Agency?

Our self-made website didn’t look as professional as it should be. It also wasn’t very informative, so showing it to our prospective clients was challenging. Overall, we wanted our site to be more informative and professional.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Rekos Agency to design and develop our website using WordPress and Figma. We had previously done a brainstorming session on our side. We already knew what we were looking for and our challenges with the previous website, so we provided that information.

Then, they sent us a lengthy questionnaire with what needed to get done and what information they needed from us to start working on the project and save time in the future. We answered it and filled out all those questions to give them what they sought.

Afterward, we started working on the website. I understood that one of the site's biggest jobs was gathering all the knowledge about the project and describing it in text, so Rekos Agency helped us a lot with that. Ultimately, we worked together because we had a plan to manage everything smoothly.

We only worked with Povilas (Co-Founder). He was responsible for everything and managed all communication, so there wasn’t a need to communicate with anyone else.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2023. The first 2–3 months were slow because we didn’t have much time on our side. The project moved a lot faster once we gathered all the information and saw how we wanted the website to look.

The work is currently done; Rekos Agency delivered on June 1st, 2024. We had a meeting today where we agreed to stop our regular meetings and catch up later in the summer or in September to create new pages if needed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything was great, and we were very happy with the results. The site was much more complex and professional than we expected. We planned everything thoroughly, and the website is now live. We’re already showing it to our customers. Moreover, we’ve gotten good feedback from our customer prospects, investors, and board members, which is very important as well.

How did Rekos Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Although we didn’t ask for it, we constantly got updates on the budget and hours spent each week. Regarding the jobs, the only times that Rekos Agency took too much was when we didn’t give them the information; they were slow because they didn’t get the answers from our side. 

Other than that, everything went smoothly. We had weekly meetings with Povilas; he gave us all the updates.

Povilas did a great job. He thought about everything and understood all our thoughts and ideas. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sometimes, it can be difficult if clients don’t know what they want from the start. However, Rekos Agency actually understood us, and they never got angry if we changed our thinking during the process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No; they should keep growing, innovating, and looking for the best design trends and what’s going on in the market.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Keep an open mind. If they offer one type of design and you don’t vibe with it, just keep asking for new ideas; they have them in their pocket and can make changes. You don’t have to agree with everything; a slight change can improve things so you’re happy with the final result.

We have a couple of daughter companies under our umbrella, and one of those companies was in desperate need of a website update. Their current website was created in 2008, so we reached out to Rekos agency to relaunch it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rekos Agency helped us revamp our daughter company's website to make it user-friendly and more modern. The team was in charge of creating all the new designs and building the new website as well. Initially, we provided Rekos Agency with a policy document for our website, as well as a brief for the project itself. We didn't have thorough brand guidelines, but we also provided them with the main details, such as fonts and logos.

Rekos Agency used Figma to design the website. As for the technical side, we requested WordPress as the backend technology to build the site.

At the very beginning of the project, I was in contact with two teammates from Rekos Agency. Out of them, I remained in contact with one teammate throughout the project.

How did you come to work with Rekos Agency?

I found them online. Before hiring Rekos Agency, I checked out a couple of companies. Three companies made it to the final list for our consideration, and I really liked how Rekos Agency communicated. Based on previous experiences, I knew that communication was really key for these kinds of projects, so Rekos Agency's communication and value proposition sold me.

We spent around €10,000 (approximately $11,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around May 2023, and the project was completed in June 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This project was very successful. My coworkers are now proud to send our customers to our new website. In the past, they were a bit hesitant to share our website because it was a bit dated, so they didn't want our customers to visit it. Now, they proudly share the new website and ask our customers to visit it.

Our customers also said that the new website was much better, easier to use, and customer-friendly, and the information provided was clearer.

How did Rekos Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, Rekos Agency went above and beyond. As mentioned, the project ran a bit longer than expected, and this was caused by delays on our side. We never really pushed for the deadline, and the team adapted to our timelines, so it was a great experience. Moreover, they provided really clear deadlines, so we always knew when to expect something to be delivered.

Rekos Agency was also great with the budget. The budget only increased because we wanted to redo one part of our website, but we already knew about that.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I was really pleased by how my main point of contact dealt with the project and how he was always there. In my previous experiences with other agencies, I had project manager changes three or four times within the same project in a span of a year. However, with Rekos Agency, I had the same project manager throughout, even when the timeline was a bit longer than expected. The project manager stuck with us, and I was very happy with that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Rekos Agency's communication and consistency in providing the same project manager throughout the engagement stood out. When multiple project managers are on the same project, clients need to retell the whole story about the project after every change.

I was also really impressed with Rekos Agency's professionalism. Thanks to them, it was very easy to understand where we wanted to go and what improvements we required. For example, at one point, there were some inconsistencies with the design. However, the project manager reached out and told us to meet so that they could understand what we really wanted. I felt heard throughout the project, which was a huge plus.

Are there any areas they could improve?

From what I understood, once we started the project, Rekos Agency used an external website developer. This caused small delays in our communication because our project manager needed to contact another person they were working with. However, we talked about this issue, and Rekos Agency told us that they hired an in-house resource, which will be very good for them moving forward, as it'll be easier to communicate with them.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

If you have questions or problems, you really need to tell them. Communicate any additional requirements, and Rekos Agency will do their best to accommodate those. Projects need communication both ways, so the team will do their best as long as you communicate your needs.

We hired Rekos to create a web design for one of our client websites. It was a corporate website with about 10 pages in total. The goal was to deliver the full mobile-first design, based on the brand book, which was provided.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They provided design for the websites in terms of the deadline that was discussed. In all phases of the project, it was easy to communicate, they were open to any suggestions or changes from our side. As an outcome, we received a well-organized Figma file, with all the design assets that are necessary for us to start development.

We use Slack as a main channel for cooperation. We had a few online meetings in Google Meet during the project when we discussed the general idea of the project and mood boards. From their side, they provide a very clear roadmap for the project and keep updating us about progress over chat. Also, they were open to meetings by request even if they weren't in our schedule.

What wanted from Rekos is to create branding details such as fonts, logo, and color scheme.That was the first fase of the project. When we proceeded to the next fase, Rekos media created wireframes for the app. 

The wireframes were created for me after we had a meeting about that the app features are and Rekos was great because they gave me feedback on optmization of the features. The last fase was the UI part where the UI for the app was created. Every fase had a review part where i had to accept the created material.

In most cases, we create the design and layout of the landing pages in-house (desktop versions). Then we hand them over to the agency to take care of all the details, fix what needs to be fixed, add/create animations and also create mobile versions of the pages.

In some of the cases, we come up with briefs pf what needs to be done, and then they create both desktop and mobile versions of the landing pages using our existing visual style and guidelines.

The main criteria was consistency, efficiency and originality in coming up with new ways to communicate the products. Those were the main factors in choosing the vendor.

We would brief the client and after a "go-ahead" we would start producing the content.
