Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the communications manager at the Cali Chamber of Commerce in Colombia. We’re a government agency that promotes business development in the region. We work with all kinds of businesses and our mission is to generate economic development.


What challenge were you trying to address with Reinv3nt?

When we started working with them we didn’t have any active social media. It was with them that we started exploring the possibility since it wasn’t something very traditional among institutions like ours eight to ten years ago.


What was the scope of their involvement?

When we began working with them, we had a yearly contract for three consecutive years. Then, we worked together on the corporate communications campaigns, among other projects. We started off with using traditional communications and then began to delve into digital resources, below-the-line advertising, digital activations, contests, and more.

What is the team composition?

Currently, we only work with them on specific projects. We’ve been involved with an account manager, an in-house specialist for technical support, a couple of creative leads, designers, etc.

How did you come to work with Reinv3nt?

We launched a public ad to find an agency to work with us, and they reached out to us having just started their company. We were impressed by their enthusiasm from the start. They’ve grown and achieved a lot since.

How much have you invested in them?

We used to spend a monthly fee of around $3,000–$4,000 when we had a fixed contract with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve only been working here for two years, so I wasn’t here when we started working together with Reinv3nt. I do know that it was around 2014.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have an evaluation metric called the reputation index. On this index, the ratings related to our communications with our interest groups have gone from 829 to 831 points with very positive rankings on creativity, communications, and proximity. That is due, in a big part, to the work we did with Reinv3nt.

How did Reinv3nt view perform from a project management standpoint?

We used planning tools such as Trello. They’re professional and always meet the deadlines. They’re also passionate about the projects they take on, displaying great enthusiasm, creativity, and more.

It has been a very interesting collaboration for us as we’ve dared to take quite some risks in a very traditional market. With their help, we’ve achieved amazing results, using very different narratives compared to what other commerce chambers use.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to propose new things is remarkable. They always take risks and come up with original ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Most agencies use common methodologies for working plus their own. As far as I understand, Reinv3nt is still working to develop their own.
