Software Integration for Voice Recognition Platform
"They’ve been enthusiastic about the product."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Patch Tech. We have a brand called HeyPatch that provides a speaking solution for Spanish users, helping them improve their fluency and confidence in English. We have an application that connects Spanish speakers with native English speakers through a 15-minute phone call. After the call, they receive any mistakes that were made.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
Our team was working with a Scandinavian company that does voice recognition and analysis to give people feedback as well as advice to improve their pronunciations. Redvike was making a demo for that product, using us as a white brand. Their team wanted to put our brand on the product and run it through our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Basically, Redvike managed to integrate the voice recognition and analysis product into our application so that our users could have access to the technology. This meant our users could record audio phrases and receive feedback. Redvike integrated the product, which analyzes the voice and gives users prompts for what they need to work on, into our web and mobile application. There was back and forth with design.
What is the team composition?
I've worked with one individual.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
The Scandinavian company that provided the technologies put me in touch with Redvike.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2019 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve had about a 20% increase in users with the new feature.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve used Asana for the project. Their team has performed really well and provided good customer service. They’ve been professional.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Redvike has been available—even on weekends. Their team has provided great customer service. They’ve been enthusiastic about the product. The shared excitement has been nice.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so. I’ve been impressed with them.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of a digital agency. With locations in Poland and the UK, we build innovative data-based marketing funnels for tech businesses.
For what projects/services did your company hire Redvike?
We hired them to develop and launch our platform. We needed good, experienced developers to work with us on the application, but didn’t want to dedicate an internal team.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goals were to finalize critical features for the MVP, establish the architecture, and ultimately finish and stabilize the product.
How did you select this vendor?
Once we decided to outsource the work, we began searching for and comparing several companies. We were looking for a team in an established environment with good references and background. I found Redvike on Clutch and selected them for their prompt response time and proactive approach.
Describe the project in detail.
Redvike was initially engaged for end-to-end app development with an emphasis on design. We provided the specifications, UI/UX designs, and business goals while they completed the backend, a web version, and QA tasks.
Our app differs from standard digital marketing platforms in several ways, so the project complexity was fairly high, especially with our list of specific and unusual display requirements. The process was consulting-heavy, and we had a breakthrough moment when Redvike really understood exactly what our project entailed. Building everything from scratch, they created a custom product that uses various algorithms to achieve common goal functionality. They then spent a few more weeks post-completion helping integrate our new team members into the development process.
What was the team composition?
We were assigned a project manager, two React developers, one Node.js developer, a QA specialist, and a designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The app has done well, already generating positive reviews and revenue growth, so we are planning to launch the next phase of development. We have been so pleased with the relationship that we are extending it into the next year.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We communicated primarily with the project manager, but were also welcome to interact with the rest of the team. Their communicative style complemented our own Agile approach, and any questions or problems were resolved quickly and efficiently.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Redvike is committed, patient, and capable. Each member invests substantial time, energy, and passion into their work, making them an enjoyable, low-drama team to work with. They know what needs to be done.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Trust the advice from their management. They're a well-managed, professional organization with a wealth of expert assets. They are willing to spend the time upfront to help you find the right solution to match their resources.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the project lead for a marketing company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We needed marketing software developed for one of our clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed a web platform for our clients using Node.js, MongoDB, and MySQL.
What is the team composition?
They have a project manager and four developers.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
We found them through an online search, and also heard about them from someone who used their services. They were in Poland like we wanted, and we found them to be a great team, with good experience and good prices. I speak Russian, and they have some team members from Ukraine who speak Russian.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together June–December 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We work with a lot of e-commerce companies because we have a product that they like, developed by Redvike. They created good architecture, and the quality of the code was good. Generally, the product is in good health and our clients like it.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
It was all great—they have good communication and project management skills. I was in contact with the CEO if needed.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re a company that relates well to customers. They make you feel like you’re their only client, so it doesn’t feel like they’re in a different city; it feels like they’re in our office.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing I would have them improve. We’re looking to work with them again.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
No, I can't think of anything.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a software developer at an IoT startup working with leisure boats.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We needed someone to develop a mobile app that would change the boat renting business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re developing a mobile app that’s mainly a small notification module with one or two screens for reporting any issues on the rented boat and do check-in and check-out. The app is being built for both iOS and Android platforms, and they’re using React Native and Redux. The design work and specifications were made before engaging with Redvike.
The MVP went live a couple of weeks ago, and they’re now doing more retesting and beta work.
What is the team composition?
There’s a full team working on this project, including two React native developers, a project manager, and a part-time QA specialist.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
We did an RFP. Redvike came highly recommended and had competitive prices.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent €15,000 (approximately $16,830 USD) per month on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019, and the collaboration is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app is promising, but nobody has used it yet. It’s too early to tell, but I anticipate having an advantage over our competition with the tight integration between the fieldwork and back office of the renters.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re really proactive, fast, and agile. We communicate every day or every two days. Since we wanted to move quickly, we developed the front- and backend and the app at the same time. Overall, they’re adaptable to change, and it’s great working with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re really proactive, and when they don’t understand something or if there’s an issue, they’ll tell us. It’s nice working with people who want to push the project to the end.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing I can think of that they need to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The more specifications and documentation you have, the better the outcome will be.

Xbox App Dev for Commerce Company
“Redvike was able to draw from their internal pool of knowledge to overcome all technical challenges.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the operations manager for a commerce company called Von Bismark Limited.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We wanted to build an Xbox e-commerce app that encouraged gamers to interact with game publishers. Since our in-house developers were tied up with other projects, we relied on Redvike to take our idea and realize it from scratch.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked with Redvike to build a native Xbox web app using React.js. The app allowed gamers to interact with and win prizes from game publishers. With the solution, gamers could earn achievement points while gaming and exchange them for coins. They could then use those coins to win merchandise from publishers via auctions.
One of the main challenges was figuring out how to set up the auction system. Because there would be a number of gamers bidding at the same time, we needed a responsive back- and frontend that could communicate seamlessly with each other.
Redvike’s team built the system to ensure that the auction didn’t close too early on the frontend while also preventing gamers from placing bids after the auction closed. They also developed digital wallets that would manage the user’s transactions. When a gamer wins an auction, they lose coins; when they earn an achievement, they gain more coins. Finally, Redvike coded the system so that we could run promotions consecutively between certain times on certain days.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a project manager who was our main point of contact for the most part. We also had a full-time frontend developer as well as a backend developer.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
We posted the job on Upwork, and they contacted us. After some preliminary interviews, we decided to go with them because they had experienced developers in different fields.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent between $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
For this app, the main development lasted from November–December 2018. We’re still working with them and will likely collaborate on the second iteration.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
This was a challenging project to begin with, but everything is going really well. We had a great launch and now have about 1,000 users. The auction system is also functioning as expected. So far, we’ve held over 100 auctions and have sent out at least 100 products to our users. We’re currently seeing a 2%–5% increase in users every week based on our referral program.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management was great; we developed the project specs together and communicated a lot. This involved daily project calls with the project manager in addition to 2–3 other calls per week. The rest of the time, we spoke to them through Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This project required a broad scope of knowledge, and there were several unique aspects to our solution that they’d never seen before. Regardless, Redvike was able to draw from their internal pool of knowledge to overcome all technical challenges.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything was quite good.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Besides setting up regular calls, spend a couple of weeks at the start with the project manager to flesh out the development specs. Our project manager was knowledgeable enough to solve a lot of our initial problems before we even started.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of growth for a company developing a software development tool.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We needed help with the frontend development of our SaaS product with the goal of speeding up the software development process.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They were responsible for the fronted portion of our application. We’re building a visual blog app that a user can quickly connect blogs to. From the connected blogs, we can generate code in the backend. They used React, Redux, and D3 for the work.
What is the team composition?
Redvike assigned two experienced frontend developers to the project. We didn’t need a full-time project manager because they were good in terms of communication. There was also someone assigned for QA.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
I found them online. We chatted with two or three companies and Redvike was the best in terms of price and quality of their engagement at the beginning. We could tell that they knew what they were talking about.
What is the status of the engagement?
We started working with them in September 2018, and the project is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They did a really good job. The frontend is highly dynamic and some use cases include 10,000 blogs that have to be shown on the screen. Our main problem was achieving high quality on the frontend while enabling browsers to run smoothly. Revike did a good job with the frontend’s performance.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a weekly meeting with all the team, and our developers and their developers had daily standups. We gave them freedom but were checking them daily, and they were responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re a small boutique company, which is exactly what I was looking for. They’re focused on one technology, are young, and are willing to deliver more than they promise.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can't name anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Spend a week with them to discuss the desired outcomes and goals of the project, and communicated all ideas to their developers. They have to really understand the goal of the business.

Travel Platform Development for Startup
“The price and quality were impressive. They’re pretty efficient at what they do.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a travel app startup. We sell discounted bus and train tickets to unknown destinations. Customers can pre-select multiple potential destinations from a list of locations, and our platform will choose a destination. Not only is it a way for customers to save money, but it’s also a means for carriers to gain customers that they might not have had otherwise.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We needed external resources to develop our travel platform for the web.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It was a pretty straightforward process. We provided the mock-ups, and Redvike developed the MVP of our travel platform from scratch. This involved initial advisory on concept, design, and front- and backend development. In the end, we outsourced the design to a third-party vendor. The final product allows customers to spontaneously make travel plans from a list of pre-selected destinations.
What is the team composition?
I exclusively worked with their project manager, but they also assigned a frontend and a backend developer.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
We were looking for developers in Poland and found them on Upwork. They had a good portfolio and affordable rates.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
They started and completed the project in July 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They completed the platform faster than expected. Everything works well, and there are no issues.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
Redvike’s team was reliable and available. The communication was good, and we had weekly calls. Whenever we had a question, the project manager would convey it to the developers and get back to us. At times, this took a bit longer than we’d expected, but the project management was very efficient overall.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The price and quality were impressive. They’re pretty efficient at what they do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be beneficial if they had more available developers on hand, but that’s a tough challenge.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear on what you want, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. They answer quickly.

Development for Fitness Business
“Redvike is helping take us to the next level by transforming into a tech company.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the founder and CEO of two intertwined companies called ElevatedLiving and Chitown Trainer. We have issued a technology platform along with our amenity management services.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
I needed developers to help me build a platform from scratch to integrate into our existing service offerings. Our clients include office buildings, direct consumers, and residential multifamily apartments.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our sales and booking platform includes both web and mobile dimensions. As the founder, CEO, and CTO, I was thoroughly involved throughout the whole project. I knew exactly what I wanted and worked on the UX extensively with Redvike. We created wireframes during the design phase. During the build stage, they used multiple programming languages including Java and developed a Stripe payment integration.
The platform includes specific permissions for our distinct types of users and staff roles. Our residents or direct consumers can access the platform. In-house employees can use it to manage our business and daily operations digitally. We're still working out a few bugs, but are already slowly transitioning from our old software to the new one.
What is the team composition?
I coordinate with the owner of Redvike and an account representative. Both of them are highly involved in our project. Depending on what projects they have going on, one of them manages the team.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
I interviewed many other companies. One benefit Redvike offered was ease of communication. Since I'm Polish, we can communicate easily in the same language. I appreciated their competitive prices as an emerging company. Based on their recent work, I could tell they had large ambitions. I decided to give them a try.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we've spent about $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2017–June 2018. Our partnership is definitely ongoing. There are always minor bugs to fix and we're still adding more features. We plan to continue using Redvike as our company grows.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Redvike is helping take us to the next level by transforming into a tech company. Technology is the future, so they've definitely been beneficial in that regard.
Our clients have given us positive feedback about the platform's look and feel. From a functionality standpoint, it works seamlessly. Most people who’ve seen it find it very user-friendly.
We had a few kinks here and there, but that's normal for most software builds. Redvike is always quick to work out and resolve any issues that come up.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
Even though we're in two different continents, communicating with Redvike is super easy. It feels as comfortable as contacting a friend. We use iMessage and FaceTime calls through iPhone. From a project management and documentation standpoint, they made the entire process simple.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Redvike is always willing to try new things or experiment with something different. They take feedback very well and put effort into learning about our business. Whenever I proposed an idea, they laid out 10 potential pitfalls that could go wrong with the app. I appreciated their critical thinking process.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I encourage them to hire more teammates who could run a testing and debugging phase after software development. I know they're a growing company, so they couldn't have the same resources as a full-scale team.
Our app is so big that many things could go wrong. I found bugs after we launched that I wish they'd caught. Since I told them I'd be closely involved from the start, they might have been relying on me more than they would have on other clients. Having more testing resources would help them down the road.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Maintain regular communication and try to understand how the processes work from start to finish. The majority of an app project should focus on the wireframes and design. I learned a lot about what does into the design process. Once that's complete, the rest of the development and coding is easy. I recommend working with a company like Redvike that has a start-to-finish protocol.

Dev for Lead Generation Platform
“There’s a lot of interest in the platform.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for several companies that are mainly affiliate marketing and lead generation platforms. We try to develop platforms that rank well and draw traffic for service or product providers. I’m the head of product development and a UX designer, so I have a cross-disciplinary role.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We don’t have any in-house developers, so we’re always looking for long-term external partners for each platform we build. This project involved the development of a lead generation platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started with a basic concept of what we wanted, then Redvike helped us define specifications and identify the relevant benefits of potential technologies. They also helped us to establish a strategy for the product, and how to build upon it, before doing the actual development.
They developed the web pages in WordPress and Angular.js, and they’ve been helpful in integrating some local APIs, as well as Google Maps and our payment solution, Stripe.
What is the team composition?
We had a project manager with whom I had constant contact tonight. I’m not sure how many developers they’ve assigned, as the team size has varied depending on the project’s phase, but it was around five people.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
We searched on Upwork and submitted an extensive brief for the project. I went through a round of interviews with different options and decided that Redvike were the best fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October 2017—July 2018.
We’ve had some liquidity issues on our end, so the project was postponed slightly. We’ve also had some struggles with resource planning in-house, so we haven’t been doing internal testing as quickly as we should.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s hard to answer because we haven’t launched yet, which means don’t have any revenue. There’s a lot of interest in the platform, and it’s something we’re planning to launch for new domains, like legal practices.
Redvike were accommodating throughout and created a functional platform that can be scaled into other industries without too many changes.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re easy to get a hold of, they answer quickly, and if there are any issues on their end we know about them right away. I’ve had no issues with them at all.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their skill in understanding the fundamental problem we were trying to solve was impressive. They outlined possible pitfalls and then solved them; suggesting different solutions and what impact they might have. This gave us an informed basis upon which to make decisions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Language is an issue we’ve had with all our external partners. Sometimes, it can be hard for them to understand what things mean, which affects the flow of a platform or an app. It’s a problem we have to cope with, and it’s one we’re trying to solve by being thorough in our documentation and communication with our partners.
It would be great if Redvike had even more understanding on how the platform should work from just the wireframes, without us having to spend a lot of time documenting upfront.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I advise clients to contact them as early as possible, without thinking too much on their own. Start with a high-level concept, and Redvike will help define specifications according to the budget.

Dev for Dentists Web Platform

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-founder of a Medtech startup that offers a platform for dentists in Norway. We’re starting with the creation of a forum and a course overview for dentists. In Norway, you have to receive 150 hours of courses every five years to keep your license. At the moment, it’s difficult for dentists to find the right courses to take, but we’ve managed to get all of them into our platform. We’ll soon start offering a marketplace as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Redvike?
We began the project with a couple of people in Norway, but after spending a fair amount of money, we saw that the product wasn’t meeting our standards. We decided to start from again with a new company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially wanted to create an iOS and Android app but realized it would take a lot more work and money, so we went with a web app that can be used on pads, mobile phones, and desktops.
hey developed our forum from scratch. We designed the things we knew we needed and they used that as a base, adding some of their own ideas for things we didn’t think about. We also implemented a chat feature recently so that people can talk to each other. In Norway, if you’re a dentist, you have six different paths you can take, so we have six different categories in our course overview in which dentists can find exactly what they need.
What is the team composition?
In the beginning, I talked a lot with their CEO. After a while, I began interfacing with their project manager. There were several people working on the project but not as many now that we’re at the end of the project.
How did you come to work with Redvike?
They were recommended to us by a friend that uses their services. I presented our idea to Redvike’s CEO and he said that they could do it. It was a good choice for us in an economic sense because prices in Norway are 6–8 times higher than they are in Poland. We also liked their previous work.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $30,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from May to October 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re pleased with the product and how things are going. It’s really nice to work with professionals that understand your needs. They gave us plenty of advice, especially since I don’t have a tech background. They also implemented things we hadn’t thought of.
My sister and a lot of my friends are dentists. We’ve shown the platform to them, and they all like what they see and think we’re solving an actual problem for the dentists in Norway.
How did Redvike perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication is great. We talk every day on Skype at 4:00 PM, and also use Slack. They always respond or call us back promptly, and it’s always easy to reach them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re much more professional and structured than the previous company we hired. Their timelines, the feedback they provide, and the questions they ask make us feel safe.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. Everything has gone well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re creating something like an app or a web page, it’s really important to have the designs of what you want ready. Really think through everything so you don’t have any surprises after you start the project. Planning the project before beginning the coding is important.
Redvike delivered a satisfying feature that has led to a notable increase in the number of platform users. Managing the engagement adeptly, the team has fostered smooth collaboration. They have been accessible and engaged with the project, which has created a successful partnership.
