Bienville Capital Management Branding and Website
New York-based investment firm, Bienville Capital Management, was looking for a website to convey their creative approach and unique perspective. RSQ partnered with We Can't Stop Thinking and Miller Mobley to deliver something much greater. Bienville's digital overhaul features a site with 17 tilt-shift videos of various locations throughout NYC, each served to the visitor according to time of day, and a mobile experience that feels like a native app.

Our task was to design a brand and digital presence to communicate a bigger idea: this is a nimble team that goes to great lengths to deliver for its clients. So we built a site that showcases the firm’s geographical footprint and details its entrepreneurial approach to projects.

Analytics Lab at Culverhouse
The Culverhouse College of Commerce approached RSQ for a campaign to highlight its focus on business analytics. Instead of coming back with ads about "big data," we delivered a big idea: an analytics laboratory on campus that could serve as a resource for students to truly understand the impact of data science on everyday business. With the partnership of Lockheed Martin, the Analytics Lab at Culverhouse is set to become a reality and an inspiration for students, faculty, alumni and businesses across the country.

Please describe your company.
We are an investment management firm.
What is your role and responsibilities?
I’m the CEO.
What was your goal for working with RSQ?
The financial services is the most boring industry in the world. From a technology standpoint and a creativity standpoint, everybody does the exact same thing. So, we challenged RSQ to come up with something unique and different, and they did.
Please describe the scope of their work.
We started the company in 2008. We hired them to do our original logo, name, and color scheme. At that time, we couldn’t afford to have them do a full website and branding campaign, so we built a cheap website and were thoroughly unhappy with it. As our firm grew through the next few years, we re-engaged RSQ in 2013. We needed RSQ to understand who we were as a firm and why we were different. Now, our website, messaging, and branding is very unique to us and unique within the investment industry. I would say they understood our firm better than we did by the time the project had ended.
Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?
I have no idea how many hundreds of hours they spent on the project, but the process took several months. A good range would be $75,000 to $150,000.
Is there anything unique about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?
There is no comparison. We’ve worked with four companies who are all reputable, but none of them are even in the same league as RSQ. RSQ is willing to spend not only the time understanding who we are and what we’re trying to build, but also distilling it down to something that is both simple and exactly what we were looking for. We couldn’t articulate what we were looking for, but they were able to.
Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?
Nothing.
RSQ has been an invaluable partner in the campaign. They were able to intimately understand what was desired for the future of the company and move the brand in that direction. Due to their high quality work and dilligence, the partnership is ongoing.
