Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a one-person company, and I’ve been doing sewing, embroidery, and monograms as my retirement business since I stopped teaching.
What challenge were you trying to address with Red Peach Designs?
I reached out to them to help revamp the look of my website to represent my personality and my work a little better.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They redesigned the website that I had for a while but had never used for full-time professional work. That included a facelift to my current logo and developing a new logo, as well as a facelift to the rest of the website and the Shopify extensions as well.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Danielle (Owner, Red Peach Designs) for the whole project.
How did you come to work with Red Peach Designs?
I had encountered some websites similar to mine that used Red Peach Designs, so I knew I wanted to work with them from the beginning.
How much have you invested with them?
The price was very reasonable, so I don’t believe I spent much more than $600 for the whole project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from August–November 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I haven’t gotten a whole lot of feedback on the new design since traffic and business have remained about the same since we finished the project. I do get positive remarks on the business cards, but it doesn’t seem like it’s made too much of an impact on the customers. In general, I like it a lot, which is what’s important.
How did Red Peach Designs perform from a project management standpoint?
I thought she did a really good job overall. There were a couple of issues when it came to integrating my site's functions with the template she was using, but she always kept me informed about that. I was very insistent that it be a particular way, and she delivered in a way that completely satisfied me.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I think Danielle has a great sense of style and did a good job of really taking what I wanted into account. Her survey of my requirements at the beginning was very insightful and thorough, which I really appreciated.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Initially, I was hoping to get some SEO work done for the website during the project as well, but they turned out not to be able to provide that. I don’t blame her for that, but it would have been a little bit helpful to have a better idea of what was included in the project upfront.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very thoughtful about the information that you provide to her in the beginning, because that will allow her to do her job much better in turn.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
PM was not really structured. Danielle and I primarily worked together via phone and email. The most challenging item was a 3-hr time difference, but we worked thru it.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The beautiful design aesthetics that Danielle created was impressive. Also the efficiency of the website.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None.
The final product has satisfied the client with both aesthetics and functionality. The Red Peach Designs owner was thoughtful and patient throughout the process, working to overcome any challenges that arose and communicating regularly about the progress being made throughout.
