I’m the CEO of ListingNest, a real estate transaction and coordination platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with Radiansys Inc?
I hired Radiansys for the development of our platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I had the foundation of the platform built through a couple of design screens, along with a detailed roadmap of what needed to be done. Then, I provided Radiansys with instructions on how the platform should flow, how it should work, and what documents should be used.
The team took those instructions and implemented them into the existing foundation of the platform. Their resources did quite a bit of work because the forms and contracts I used were complicated in how they flowed among different users.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a project manager, and she managed the team from their side. I gave my feedback to her and she relayed it to their resources. Occasionally, we did some calls with their lead developer, who walked me through the demonstrations of the features we implemented.
How did you come to work with Radiansys Inc?
I found Radiansys on UpWork. Since this was a big job, there were many applicants. However, I liked their team because they had experience in document signing and contract delivery. On top of that, they had good communication skills. I gave them a small scope of work at first, and when they did it perfectly, I hired them for the rest of the project.

This project lasted from December 2019–May 2022.

I had clear instructions and a vision of what I wanted, and Radiansys met these criteria. Apart from that, they adhered to our milestones and timelines. As with any development project, there were hurdles and things that weren’t thought out well along the way — I checked how the team was able to spot those mistakes and come up with solutions. Overall, our success metrics focused on these three things: adaptation, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.

Radiansys’ project management was excellent. We used UpWork’s messaging system since I hired them there. The platform documented everything.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I expected the first scope of work that I gave them to be difficult; they would take time to understand what I wanted to implement. However, they got everything done ahead of schedule correctly — they grasp what I was looking for right off the bat. The speed at which they understood the concept of what I was building was impressive.
Overall, everything went smoothly and as expected. They communicated as they were supposed to and solved any problems that arose. They also took feedback well and fixed anything that didn’t work properly.

The team has developed a well-defined customer support portal that would be available for both private and public net banking platforms of Wells Fargo. This portal would help the bankers perform customer support operations. Radiansys has designed a very smooth interface for the application, supporting easy onboarding and efficient real-time instructions delivery.

Radiansys put their best team in action for our project. The team members included a project manager, a business analyst, backend developers, frontend developers, and QA engineers.

We have multiple locations in the US. Our company wanted to cloud based application to manage our contracts, travel and expense. I’m the founder of a nonprofit organization that provides free computer training to mainly underprivileged elementary and middle school students.
What challenge were you trying to address with Radiansys Inc?
A lot of our processes were still manual. For instance, if someone wanted to participate in our program, we had to manage the registration via email. There wasn’t any software involved and it was proving to be very time-consuming. That is why we turned to Radiansys to develop a portal for us.

They’ve done a good job of adhering to the timeline and delivering tasks on the dot. We thought that, because we were working with an offshore team, we would need to coordinate with them in the evening. That wasn't necessary, however, since Radiansys made themselves available in our time zone. There was proper coordination throughout, and it was evident that they’re a mature, qualified team.
We added them to our Slack channels and used Jira to manage the project, as per the recommendation.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were very proactive and followed our instructions and requirements really well. There wasn’t a lot of back-and-forth needed. Our communication was great and we were always up to speed on their progress. When we received the final product, all that was left for us to do was validate it, and when we needed some things changed, they openly accommodated our requests free of charge. The whole experience was very smooth and we intend to work with them again.

I’m the president of a company that sells auto insurance. Our products are sold through insurance agents working in retail outlets in Florida and Arizona.
What challenge were you trying to address with Radiansys Inc?
We wanted to offer our auto insurance online. With the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw a trend where people initiated and completed the whole insurance purchase process online through their computers or mobile phones. As a result, we hired Radiansys to develop software and its user flow; this would help our customers get a quote and purchase insurance online easily.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When we first called Radiansys, they asked us to put together a requirements document. They asked us to tell them what to do page by page and be as detailed as possible. After putting together the requirements, we went over the document and listened to their team’s inputs. Then, they gave me an estimate of the project’s cost and timeline. When we agreed to their estimates, Radiansys started working on the project.
Radiansys handled some design work and the entire development process. We were already interested in doing online sales, so we already had an idea for the platform’s design. Our team also knew what customer questions to address first. We had a rough screen-by-screen design, and the Radiansys team contributed to the look and feel of the page where the questions would appear. The team also had input in terms of the dropdown menus and buttons; they helped us make it easier for our clients to respond to our questions through the layout of the web page. The team also did testing and bug fixes.

I worked with at least five people from their team. A project manager ensured that resources did things according to our timelines and requirements. Meanwhile, three coders did the heavy lifting in terms of the skillsets they brought from a software development perspective. A UI designer also worked on the project. Moreover, since our software needed to be integrated with third-party apps and our policy management system, we also collaborated with app integration experts.
How did you come to work with Radiansys Inc?
I searched for a number of providers and shortlisted three of them, including Radiansys. Our team worked with each of them as part of the vetting process. We collaborated on specific projects, and at the end of the day, Radiansys stood out on top because Neeraj (CEO & Founder) was personally involved in our project. He had a good understanding of our project so we could talk to him in terms of resolving unforeseen issues. Overall, they gave their full attention to the sample project.
Apart from that, Radiansys was willing to charge a fixed price instead of doing billable hours, which could keep going on and on. As a company in the insurance industry, we wanted to get the lowest price without compromising quality. Given that, Radiansys gave us a fixed price estimate, but we agreed to figure out a fair compensation if the scope of work became significantly different from what we originally discussed. In other words, we had trust for each other, and Neeraj was willing to put himself on the line to develop that trust.
Finally, during the sample project, Radiansys’ resources were nice to work with, and my team enjoyed working with them. They were on time so no meetings were canceled. Their members provided good ideas and had a can-do attitude. I could brainstorm ideas with them to know whether they could think of cheaper but better ways to execute my ideas. Overall, we trusted Radiansys and knew that they were flexible and solutions-oriented; they made sure everything was done correctly and at the best possible cost, so we hired them for this project.

The overall sales of our insurance policies went up by 20% as a result of adding our online sales component. Moreover, because of this online sales platform, our team could think of more innovative software technology that we could offer. It could help us build on additional ways to capture online sales and customer segments.
On top of that, we could offer our products in 10 other states. Previously, we only sold to two states even though we were licensed to do business in 12 states. Because of the online platform that Radiansys developed, we could sell directly to customers in more states rather than appointing agents in those locations.
How did Radiansys Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Radiansys prioritized this project for us and worked hard to deliver according to schedule. The scope of the project changed a bit as we found new things to fix, but they resolved all issues we found. Overall, they delivered and met our expectations.
Moreover, most of our communication was through Zoom conference calls. We shared screens at our weekly meetings. Then, we used emails to summarize things; it was our second most frequent means of communication. Finally, when I needed to discuss things with Neeraj, we talked over the phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Radiansys could develop software at a reasonable cost. Apart from that, their resources had a can-do attitude focused on solving problems; they didn’t get frustrated or perturbed by new challenges or unforeseen issues that emerged along the way. Talk to Radiansys’ clients to get a feel of who they are, and give them a small project. If you’re considering another company, you might want to let a test project determine who to choose. We’re a logistics startup that started in 2018. Our platform is a marketplace for players in the logistics sector. It allows shippers and carriers to perform transactions. I’m the CTO.
What challenge were you trying to address with Radiansys Inc?
We wanted some outsourcing work done because we didn’t want to hire any engineers at that point. They provided us with resources for frontend and backend work and iOS and Android development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, the engineer would work with the project manager to go over the design cycle. Once the requirements were clear, we would go about our sprint planning and executing on that project’s assignment. After that, we would have the design and development phase. The development phase included multiple two-week sprints before we pushed everything to production.

Over a period of time, we’ve had 13-14 engineers at different times.

Their team is detail-oriented. They spend time understanding the requirements and getting clarity, unlike other organizations. From a deliverable perspective, they do a solid job at providing us with a quality product.

From a project management standpoint, I would give them nine out of 10. They do a great job at giving us clarity about what they’re going to do. They keep my engineering team and me honest.

I would recommend what we follow at Vizry Group - i.e. providing their hands-on personnel such as designers, developers themselves, who do the actual factory work (synonymous), a little more client exposure, front-line involvement, and ownership to build their confidence and skills.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of IT for a mid-size auto insurance company. We provide regular auto insurance and commercial auto insurance.
What challenge were you trying to address with Radiansys Inc?
We wanted to modernize our distribution channel and provide different methods.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We work with Radiansys on a per-project basis. Their work on this project includes web development, mobile app development, and system enhancements. We started by making a proof of concept and discussing the requirements. Additionally, we created a business specification document and worked with them to create the mockups screens. The Radiansys team worked alongside our internal team during the process.
First, they provided enhancements, and when they performed well, we assigned them to work on the next phase, which was on the app side. They work on the app and transfer it to us. The app allows users to pay for auto insurance, add or remove cars, change their address and contact details on file, and access their insurance documents. Our biggest objective is to provide a way for them to make changes and get their records independently so they won’t have to contact us. It is available on both iOS and Android. Most of our customers use iOS, but Android is easier to work with and update.
What is the team composition?
We work with 10–15 people, including front- and backend developers, QA specialists, business analysts, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Radiansys Inc?
I found Radiansys at a convention when we needed help on the Java side because we had a legacy system. They’ve also helped us screen our current staff and then helped us augment our team. Later on, they helped us implement our system.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $500,000-$600,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2007, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app updates Radiansys provided have caused our iOS users to double. Although we have about 400,000 customers in total, only 50,000 were using the app before the update. After we upload the first iteration of the app, our users grew to about 125,000–150,000. Furthermore, their updates save us money because it can be expensive for us when users call us.
How did Radiansys Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is good, and they’re always on time. Radiansys took the time to understand our requirements and delivered excellently. If we need more people, they’d add more teammates so they can meet deadlines. Alternatively, they reduce staffing if they’re on time. We use Jira, and the team also uses a Kanban board. We had daily scrum meetings and weekly checkpoints to make sure they were on the right path. Additionally, they send weekly reports with high-level executive summaries. At the end of each month, we also had integration checks. Finally, we use SharePoint, where their team can collaborate on documents.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed that they deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. In addition, they really understand our business and our requirements. Radiansys is open and flexible when it comes to changes, and they can work closely with our internal team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They have an outstanding team, but they need to be prepared for when resources leave.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure your requirements are strong before you start working with Radiansys. Additionally, always have a discovery phase before moving onto the development phase.

They delivered a high-quality product on time, and they are transparent throughout the engagement. There is always room for improvement, but overall, they did excellent work.
