A new brand identity in the fight for justice
The Brief
The organization was ready for a radical shift, so they needed a new name, a new look, and an impactful website to effectively communicate its mission to the world.
The challenge
They needed an identity that balanced love and compassion with their radical fight for justice. Then, they needed to translate it into a powerful website with an impactful message. They wanted to involve many different members of the organization in the process, to make sure the new branding reflected who they truly are, and to align their vision on who they want to become.
The Solution
Brand Sprint Workshop
Through a collaborative Brand-Sprint Story workshop, they were able to define their vision, values, personality, and the overall story of their brand- enabling them to finalize the organization's new name: Youth Justice Network.
Brand Messaging
With the insights from the workshop and its new name, a Brand Messaging Guide was created to ensure consistency in all future communications.
UX-UI Design
We kicked off the design process by planning the website's content and navigation with strategic UX exercises. The Youth Justice Network team defined the organization's goals, their user's goals, and the key paths within the website.
The Results
With a new name and a revitalized purpose, Youth Justice Network became more than just a force for good, but a force to be reckoned with.
- Their evolution reflected by their new logo and brand identity can now be shared with the world.
- They also got a consistent brand identity that ladders up to their goals.
- Most importantly, YJN ended up with an impactful new website that effectively communicates their mission.

Increase Feedly's homepage conversions by 25%
The Brief
Feedly brought us in to provide a fresh perspective. They wanted a simple way for users to understand their new AI machine learning tool (a robot named Leo), collaboration capabilities, and integrations. They wanted users to recognize their specific use cases immediately upon visiting the site.
The Challenge
Communicate how Feedly’s AI solution helps cure information overload. The Feedly team was incredibly open to trying out a collaborative process like a Design Sprint. They knew the fresh set of eyes would bring new solutions.
The Solution
A Design Sprint that allowed Feedly to:
Ideate
Instead of tackling the entire homepage in a single Sprint, we focused on the specific area that would have the greatest impact.
Prototype
Our designers, animator, and illustrators came together in a single day to create a high-fidelity prototype for users to test the next day.
Test with real users
User testing plays a key role in validating or disproving our assumptions from the Design Sprint process. We recruited 5 users based on a specific profile. We created custom illustrations and adapted Feedly’s original Leo illustration to add new actions and fun props.
Learn and Iterate
Our challenge was to iterate on the original idea, taking into account the insights from user feedback.
The Result
At the end of this entire month of Design Sprint process, results included:
- Development ready files for the new Feedly.com, that the team implemented in 2 months.
- Strategic recommendations for continuing marketing and design efforts.
- A complete report of the process and decisions made.
Feedly was then able to take insights from this Design Sprint and infuse their marketing and design work with this fresh, user-centric focus as they continue to help people cure information overload.

Revamp MoreHands offering to delight customers
The Brief
MoreHands Maid Service knows how to make people happy by keeping their homes sparkling clean. They were looking for a team to help inject life into their design and their service offering, delight customers, and improve retention.
The Challenge
MoreHands knows cleaning. However, the current site wasn’t getting customers’ attention or highlighting the things that set MoreHands apart. They saw the site redesign as an opportunity to explore some new service offerings that could meet prospects’ needs.
The Solution
We crafted a design strategy involving collaborative workshops, an entire Design Sprint, and the design of a brand new website.
Design Sprints are a lean UX process to ideate, create a mass of solutions, prototype one solution, and test the solution in a single week.
We made the most of the Design Sprint process to prototype a “riskier” design to test with users for MoreHands’ new homepage and cleaning order process.
The Results
A new, unique way to communicate a traditional service. At the end of this intensive process, deliverables included:
- A production-ready site with files ready for development
- A complete report of the decisions made, solutions tested, and user test findings.
- Strategic recommendations for continuing messaging and design improvements
- Recommendations for marketing and branding efforts
With a clear vision validated by real users, MoreHands was ready to come up with a new website that truly reflected who they were and what they had to offer.
A new service offering focused on helping people navigate the restrictions placed due to the global pandemic was implemented.
We hop on board once again and helped MoreHands identify business goals, craft a comprehensive marketing strategy, and design their entire website so more and more Texans could now not only enjoy the pleasure of a sparkling clean home, but also the safety and convenience of having errands delivered to their doorstep.

Reimagining the future of work
The Brief
Update is a powerful tool that captures the most important parts of virtual meetings and hands it over to you once done. Determined to make an insanely great app, Update needed help in narrowing its features down to an MVP. So they tapped Purple Bunny to help them deliver on this.
The Challenge
Update had already been testing the features on users but the main issue was that they had a really broad product, and there was a need to rightsize it without compromising their vision.
The Solution
What is Update, and who is it for? By clarifying all these and more through two collaborative branding workshops, we were able to define Update’s identity. The process helped clear the path, letting them innovate without struggling over its purpose.
From here, we moved on to the core of the work. Figuring out the most important features Update should carry forward into the actual product build, required combining a Design Sprint with the Value Proposition and The Importance vs. Feasibility exercises. While they aren’t part of the Sprint process, we added them because we knew that we could get valuable insights from both.
The Results
Through a structured process and methodology, Update was able to focus on a unique and singular value proposition, and narrow the scope of their MVP, enough to provide immediate value to their future customers. They also got a clear, user-centric vision of how to move Update forward, backed by 2 rounds of user testing.
At the end of this process, Update walked away with:
- A truthful and exciting brand identity that would set them up on a path toward growth.
- A Design & Iteration Sprint Report and summaries of the Design Sprint and Iteration Sprint.
- 2 high-fidelity prototypes.
- All data from user testing with validated insights.
- Data-backed recommendations for next steps.

Design Sprint Workshop & Prototype for Digital Agency
“The team was skillful and knowledgeable, so they knew exactly what they were doing.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Pasimedia, a digital agency that does digital designs and provides other services like content strategy.
What challenge were you trying to address with Purple Bunny?
We collaborated with Purple Bunny for our design sprints. They were the pioneer in using this methodology, so we wanted to learn from them and know more about the design sprint process.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I initially did some workshops with Purple Bunny in relation to the design sprints. This was a project where we could create a digital prototype in a compact timeframe, and we worked together on onboarding the design team. We had a few kickoff calls, and the team told us everything we should expect and know about the things we were going to do.
In the first week of the sprint, we spent some time answering questions back and forth as we aligned both of our teams. On top of that, they conducted an interview with us. The second week was intense — we had six-hour workshops from Monday to Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the deliverables came after the workshops. Purple Bunny worked nine hours on our digital prototype. Everything was documented by the team. After that, we conducted testing sessions, which lasted for about an hour each. Each user went through the platform and tested everything in a detailed way.
In terms of the project itself, the effort had a personal meaning for both our agencies. It was a project about cultural diversity for kids; we wanted to know how we could approach content for kids who were culturally diverse. We also wanted to provide anti-bullying resources for them.
What is the team composition?
I worked with two project managers, a UX designer, and one of their directors.
How did you come to work with Purple Bunny?
A good friend of mine found Purple Bunny. I also knew about them when they first started, and then they grew so much and became well-known in the industry. As a result, I always wanted to have the chance to work with them. When the chance came up, I simply approached them and they said yes.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $2,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The partnership started and finished in May 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Doing the digital prototype of our project with Purple Bunny was meaningful for us. It was our first step to pitch the project to international organizations and educational NGOs. As general feedback, the team was responsible and cared about the world we were trying to build. Their members truly cared about their customers; they were sensitive and creative people. Overall, working with their team was inspiring for us.
How did Purple Bunny perform from a project management standpoint?
The two project managers covered all of our needs and requirements. Everything was done remotely, so it wasn’t easy for us to find the perfect timeframe. Regardless, Purple Bunny was always thoughtful and on time when sending meeting briefs — they never missed a thing. They handled everything with a lot of care and precision.
Moreover, during our workshops, everyone was super energetic. They worked hard to keep our energy levels and momentum up. The team was skillful and knowledgeable, so they knew exactly what they were doing. We could tell that they had a lot of experience in doing design sprints.
In terms of tools, the design was done in Figma, and we used Miro to collaborate and brainstorm together. To keep track of all the progress we made, we used Notion. We used Zoom for our conferences.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Purple Bunny had a lot of experience in UI/UX design, so the prototype we created with them was mindblowing. Other companies would take so much time to achieve something that would be so beautifully made, clear, and user-oriented.
Beyond that, I was also pleased that I had performed user testing with them. I learned a lot about their process and how they approached testing. We had amazing results, and they had amazing inputs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there weren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try Purple Bunny’s design process. They have an original design sprint idea that they base on their experience. The team has their own design workshop, and they have a lot of experience running it. In other words, they do their design sprints for a reason; they’ve studied the market. As a result, you should try their design sprint process.

Web & Mobile App Dev for IT Services Company
“Purple Bunny’s project management is one of their greatest strengths; they’ve always exceeded our expectations.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Lightbox, an IT services company.
What challenges were you trying to address with Purple Bunny?
We’ve been working with Purple Bunny for several years on development projects. The last project on which we worked together was the development of a product for the food industry. The product had to be approved by the FDA, and it had to complý with numerous requirements and regulations, so we brought Purple Bunny again to help us out.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Purple Bunny provides us with web and mobile app development services when needed, mostly for projects that require very specific skill sets.
Our last project, the food industry product, was divided into three phases. The first one was the discovery phase, in which we received the requirements from our client and brought Purple Bunny to detail the specifications. This process implied numerous interviews and research related to the FDA regulations. The deliverable for this phase was a document detailing the research we had performed and the scope of the project.
In the second phase, we worked on the product’s design. Purple Bunny helped us create a user flow that described the user journey. Then, we created the wireframes, which included all the information about the content of each of the screens.
Finally, the third phase consists of creating a functional prototype using those wireframes so that the client can access a mock-up of their product. This phase is still in process. Purple Bunny has created all the deliverables using Figma and Lucidchart.
What was the team composition?
Currently, we work directly with two people from Purple Bunny: a project manager and a design leader. Still, a support team is involved, so we’ve worked with about 5 people in total.
How did you come to work with Purple Bunny?
They were referred to us.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent between $150,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2018. Our last project started in June 2021, and it is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
As the project is still in progress, we don’t have any metrics or feedback yet. Overall, the quality of Purple Bunny’s work is very high.
How did Purple Bunny perform from a project management standpoint?
Purple Bunny’s project management is one of their greatest strengths; they’ve always exceeded our expectations in that regard. Their communication is also great. Whenever we have a meeting, they do a detailed follow-up that includes a brief and a recording of the meeting, which makes the project traceable. We use Notion, Zoom, and Slack to communicate and manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The clarity and solidity of Purple Bunny’s workflow and processes are bulletproof. We’re always certain that they’ll never miss a deadline, the deliverables will be good, and their communication will be consistent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, I can’t think of anything they could improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear on your requirements and needs.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a Product Manager and lead UI/UX director at a small IT consultancy in Chicago specializing in capital markets and other complicated software development opportunities.
For what projects/services did your company hire Purple Bunny?
We hired Purple Bunny for UI/UX design services for a "green" energy certificate trading application built around an EU Guaranteed Origin (GO) contract protocol for a client headquartered in the Netherlands.
How did you select Purple Bunny?
We have been working with Purple Bunny since 2015. Originally we came across their services while searching for near-shore partners for a project at that time. We have worked with them on dozens of projects since then.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We worked with a client-side Product Director who gathered initial research and feedback from would-be users and he helped translate into English the wants and needs they communicated. Our team pieced together the data objects (Trades) and workflows (various trading scenarios) first in card format (Miro) then in wireframes and visual designs (figma).
All flows and clickable designs were then tested with would-be users in order to continue the iteration of feedback and improvements until designs were deemed acceptable by the Users, Client and ready for engineering. Engineering also gave feedback on design sprints in order to formulate specifications for requirements which we helped itemize for them.
How many resources from the Purple Bunny team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Two designers (Figma) and a project manager.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The entire product was designed to the end-client's custom specifications and based on all user input until there was nothing left to design.
All designs were used in production as the project went into Engineering and the live product was launched a few months after we were done designing it (design is often completed before the engineered product).
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Excellent workflow for all teams involved, across at least 4 timezones and three continents. Multiple meetings per week varying from stand-ups of the Overall Project, design sprints or engineering sprints helped to keep everyone on task and all questions answered.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Purple Bunny always provides professional work and never get tired of designing what some would conclude to be boring or complicated financial software - they always do it with a smile and make it look really good.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No real room for improvement. Purple Bunny ran a pro team and was able to handle numerous project challenges. Like holidays, sick leave and other hurdles during long projects to keep things moving. Possible improvements involve software issues not team issues.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Chief Growth Officer at a digital product agency, we help US based companies to build exceptional digital products.
For what projects/services did your company hire Purple Bunny, and what were your goals?
Our company was changing the services offered and targeting a new audience. We felt our brand story and branding was not reflecting what we wanted to say and how to say it.
How did you select this vendor?
They were recommended by a person we trust, and after talking to them we realized they were the ones that we wanted to work with.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
To start they help us conducting a Voice of the Customer research not only with our clients but identifying also what the client's of our competitors were saying about them. Then we did an internal workshop to help us align the team and define a new brand story, defining who was our audience, what was their problems, how we can help them solve it, etc. After that we started working in our one-liner, values and new branding. We started iterating until we were happy with the results. And finally we did a social media strategy workshop to define how we wanted to reflect the brand story and new branding and a content strategy.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
With had a project manager assigned, but we also worked with the COO, a designer and a copy-writer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We finally launched our new branding a few weeks ago. When we presented it internally people loved the change, and we had really good feedback when we launched publicly from clients and the community.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had weekly checkpoints that helped us have visibility on what they were working on and also what were the next steps, and they always were very straight forward with the communication. And deadlines were met accordingly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We loved that they had a specific workshop designed and processes for the whole project. And the team was great!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No, it was fine as it was.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm currently Chief Management and Culture, as well as a partner at Indicius. We're a design studio that specializes in collaborative workshops, branding, UX/UI, motion graphics, illustration and front end development.
For what projects/services did your company hire Purple Bunny?
We hired Purple Bunny to carry out a design sprint process with one of our main clients, OSDE, the top health insurance call in Argentina.
How did you select this vendor?
They're a design agency that offer similar services and upon who we rely on when our pipeline becomes more than we can handle internally. They're top-notch and we know that any project they take on will be just as successful as any project we handle internally.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We'd carried out a previous design sprint with the same client, where we focused on emergency services. We collaborated in that project and the client was so happy that they requested a second design sprint from another service that they offered - a digital platform to schedule appointments, have video appointments, access medical histories, and write digital prescriptions.
They provided a standard 2-week Design Sprint process, in person, as this was before the pandemic hit.
- Week 1: Research and prep
- Week 2: Design Sprint, which ended with a high fidelity protoype, user tests with doctors and a comprehensive report which included recommendations and next steps.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 2/3 designers, and a PM. One of the designers facilitated the sprint.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Design Sprints can be intense. However, the PB team not only coordinated everything perfectly and set up and ideal workspace for everyone to feel comfortable, but they also facilitated the actual design sprint week flawlessly.
The results were that the assumptions the client's team had were incorrect and thanks to the sprint they were able to redirect their service in a way that worked for both doctors and patients. Given that the pandemic hit right after, I think the impact of the work PB did was two-fold: business-wise they were able to offer a better service and also feel better prepared for the 2-year pandemic that came right after.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Honestly, it was effortless. It's always a pleasure to work with people that enjoy what they do and do it so well.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was impressed the most by their clear communication & organization, their experienced designers and their overall dedication every step of the process. They clearly know exactly what they're doing!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think of. Honestly the project was seamless and they client was extremely happy with the end result.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of UpdateAI. We are a conversational intelligence startup that helps customer facing professionals manage their Zoom meetings with their customers.
For what projects/services did your company hire Purple Bunny?
We were at the VERY beginning of our business. We had a sketch of a business plan and concept, but nothing beyond that. I hired Purple Bunny to help us figure out exactly what we needed to be, and to help launch the initial design and branding.
How did you select this vendor?
I've known the Purple Bunny team for years and have always been incredibly impressed with their work. They have never let me down. Honestly, they provide North American, Silicon Valley-esque quality of work at Latin American pricing. I used to work as a Product Manager in Silicon Valley and I hired them for projects in the past as well.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We didn't know exactly what we wanted to be. Purple Bunny assembled a team of design thinkers to help us interview ICPs and ran a very tight and structured process around making sure we understood the needs of the consumer and mapped our features to those needs.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A variety of design thinkers.
- UX/UI designers and specialists
- a copywriter
- a project manager to keep the project on pace
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Without PB we would not have known where to begin in building our product!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Their communication is exceptional. They keep to their timeline commitments and deliver frequent and transparent communication constantly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We trust them innately and we are happy with the project outcome.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing that comes to mind.
The company was happy with their experience with Purple Bunny; the digital prototype they delivered was described as mind-blowing by the client. The team handled everything responsibility — their members were careful, precise, and energetic. They used tools like Miro, Figma, and Zoom effectively.
