I’m the owner of AZELAB Themes, a company in the e-commerce design space. Our company offers a portfolio of WordPress and Shopify themes, and we help small businesses manage their presence on those platforms.

What challenge were you trying to address with Primocys?

We partnered with Primocys for a Shopify design and development project. We were building out a new theme product.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Primocys worked with us as the lead designer and developer of our new Shopify theme. It took us approximately four and a half months to go through all of this project’s design and development phases.

Initially, we had three weeks of design sprints to build out all of the prototypes and design concepts for the theme. Then, we entered into a 15-week development phase, where we worked through the different components of Shopify, such as the products, admin panel, demo scans, and all other aspects that go into building a Shopify theme app.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–3 people from Primocys. I mainly interacted with their project manager and worked with their designer in the beginning. However, I didn’t interact with the development team.

How did you come to work with Primocys?

I used Clutch, contacted a couple of agencies, and got a couple of quotes. Based on that, I chose Primocys.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021, and they finished the development in July 2021. Although the major project has finished, we will continue working with Primocys on an ongoing basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Primocys offered a lot of modern design concepts. They also took our theming notes, turned them into very strong design and development concepts, and brought them to light.

How did Primocys perform from a project management standpoint?

Primocys’ project manager was especially responsive, helping set up each week’s design and development sprints. I especially liked how they incorporated a visualization process into the design flow. Whenever they provided me with new screens, it gave me a good opportunity to provide them with specific feedback, so we all stayed on the same page and executed that vision.

We had weekly development updates. Unfortunately, we ran into problems with COVID-19 in India, so we had project delays that we couldn’t predict. Aside from that, we did accurately forecast the work hours each week, and Primocys was generally on time during development.

We used Asana for project management and communicated via Skype. Their team was very responsive, always answering within a day.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Primocys was a multifaceted team. Not only they had experience with Shopify, but they also had mobile design expertise. They were both a design and development agency, so they brought top-craft-level people into our project.

Working with them, we got more than a freelancer; we got a design and development house. Additionally, they provided us with enough people to balance the work out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be good if Primocys added a visualization tool to the development updates as they did with the design flow to have more detail on the accomplishments of each week. It would be very helpful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you operate on a weekly sprint basis and be prepared for what you want to accomplish. Additionally, make sure that you add a high level of detail to the briefs that you create because that will reduce the back and forth and save you hours of work and communication. Finally, be as responsive as they are, and your project will be perfect.

I am the Founder/CEO of Car Eyez LLC, a mobile app and website platform for users to buy and sell cars. The platform is also open to dealers that might flip cars on a more frequent basis.

I hired Primocys to build my website and mobile app for both android and iOS from scratch.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals of this project was to build a never seen before platform strictly for the buying and selling of cars only. This could not just be a simple Wordpress site as I needed the website and app to sync in real time. It needed a well coded API and Strong PHP language.

How did you select this vendor?

I searched online for the best mobile app PHP developer, but that was only the beginning of the research. I needed someone that fully understood the scope of the project and what we are really trying to achieve/accomplish.

I decided to go with Primocys because they understood the vision. I mean, these guys were already making suggestions on what would make the app better prior to us even making a deal.

The backed me immediately after hearing how complex and tough it would be. FIrst of its kind in the entire world!

The project was broken down into multiple phases as it was such a big project. I mean, we built something the world has never seen or had access to.

The first step was the design, UX/UI, and as the project proceeded, I would learn of something new I needed implemented, or decided to add new features that would help better improve the user experience.

Primocys would raise the bar even more by working longer and going above what I was originally imagining. They are magicians!

What was the team composition?

I had a direct point of contact, the project manager, the guy is so well composed, honest, organized, professional, I mean the list could go on and on. He explained the whole process to me and how the team is structured. From frontend/backend developers to engineers and SEO/social media managers, they have it covered.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have tested our platforms for bugs and issues, QA is underway as we are now ready for launch. We have had no issues what at all with the platforms. PERFECTLY BUILT!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was very available and provided updated frequently. We literally communicate everyday and utilize WhatsApp as well as other forms of communication. Whatever you need to make communication easy, the project manager will make it happen.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The knowledge these guys have is second to none. I dare you to find a company that can handle the most difficult projects without making you bankrupt and providing the highest of quality work, in an efficient and timely manner. The only guys that fit the description would be Primocys. I am completely blown away by their productivity and efficiency.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I am sure everyone would always like work to be done faster as we are all excited for our vision to come true sooner rather than later but these guys worked very diligently and I am more than satisfied with the overall project length and incredible quality.

I originally had a WordPress website, and it wasn’t quite the outcome that I wanted. I got in contact with them so that they could build a custom website based on our company’s framework from scratch to both operate better and look nicer and more professional.

Beyond developing the site itself, a big part of what they are doing is extending the functionality of the site to allow customers to register and create log in credentials with which they can access their plans and make purchases. They also organized and continue to execute email marketing integrations with Mailchimp, as well as developing a payment gateway system.

I believe there was a total of four individuals working on their end — one developer, one designer, an SEO manager, and a product manager.

We found them through Upwork.

We’ve spent about $3,000.

We started in April 2019 and are continuing to work together.

They were the only team that was able to come remotely close to achieving our desired outcome.

How did Primocys perform from a project management standpoint?

The project is handled very well. They stay on top of their work, and we have a fairly easy time communicating with them despite the time difference, usually through Upwork or Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are very understanding and know how to start achieving your business goals.

I don’t think there’s anything else I could have asked of their team.

Be as explicit as possible. IF you make sure you confirm that you are both on the same page about your request, then you will have a lot less back and forth tweaking to do later on in the process.

Actually, we will launch our app in September 2021, we estimate around 15000 Users in 6 months.

The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. Everything was delivered on time. any question was answered in less than 1 h.

Their mobile app development skills. They knew everything about Ux. They were patient and willing to walk us through their process while we learned.

Everything was very nice maybe some discussion about details before the project beginning will limit any misunderstandings.

They provides back end logic to resolve the finalization of our existing 2 mobile application frameworks including sharing to social media from existing app through integrated API, and assisted in resolution of image upload/read error that occurred with recent Android update.

What was the team composition?

From my understanding the project was completed by a team of 6. This team was polite, professional, quick on deadlines, and very excellent in notating and providing clean code for use.

We will be able to release our development projects by our deadline due to their assistance in resolving or back end issues. We are very pleased with their provided services and will hire them in the future and reccomend to others.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

This team provided consistent direct communication regarding deadlines, they were detail oriented in tasks, and provided a fast turn around. I thought what we were asking on a deadline might not be met, but somehow they found a way to do it any way. I'm very impressed by their professionalism.

I am truly impressed by their ability to implement logical formats into their data structures in such short timelines. This team is truly brilliant.
