I’m a project lead for a software development company that builds products mainly in the financial technology and banking sector.
What challenge were you trying to address with Prestige Development Group?
We had an acute hiring need, but we didn’t have any internal recruiters or a formal talent acquisition process. We were looking for an external vendor to acquire talent on our behalf.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Prestige helps us hire qualified engineering talents. They work at the very top of the hiring funnel, writing job descriptions and sourcing and screening candidates. After an initial interview, they would then present qualified applicants to our team, giving us the necessary information on how to secure those talents.
The job search only lasts a few weeks since we’re seeking high-demand resources. Along the way, Prestige taught us a lot about what they were doing. They helped us develop an internal hiring capacity within our team.
In addition, they’ve streamlined our recruitment process to lessen the steps that candidates have to go through. They eliminated unnecessary steps and refined our job descriptions. Their team suggested how to write descriptions that attract higher-quality candidates.

Someone from Prestige is always available to help us with anything. We typically assign tasks on a weekly basis. When issues arise, they are very quick to be accountable. We primarily communicate through Slack and emails.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CTO of the civilian IT division at Leidos, a scientific research company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Prestige Development Group?
We reached out to Prestige to help us quickly provide resources to work on the architecture and technology for a client under a tight deadline. Most of the work involved cloud infrastructure, micro-services, and UI/UX development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Prestige worked on a cloud infrastructure project for a mobility app that included microservices and some UI/UX development. The project required a strong understanding of iOS given that it leveraged facial biometrics, geolocation, and hands-free typing features. The app also included AWS capabilities and used APIs for microservices. They put together a relational database on the RDF side, as well as an S3 Bucket for storing the media required for the app.
What is the team composition?
I primarily worked with a project manager, as well as Tiffany (CEO, Prestige Development Group). They scaled the number of resources working on our project as needed.
How did you come to work with Prestige Development Group?
I've been working with Tiffany for over 10 years on other technology projects, so I already trusted that her company would be able to ramp up resources quickly to meet our needs.

What is the status of this engagement?
We worked on the project together from August–December 2018. Although we scoped out five months to complete the app, Prestige completed it in just three months.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The purpose of the project was to deliver a prototype to our customer in an effort to convince them to invest in building out the full technology, and we were successful in doing that. In addition to delivering exactly what we wanted, Prestige also delivered well ahead of schedule.
How did Prestige Development Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Within less than a week or two of engaging them, Prestige was able to put together a team and start working on the project. In addition to the quality of their work, there wasn't a single hiccup throughout the development process and they exceeded our deadline.
At any given time, I was only in contact with two people, which helped me stay organized, informed, and focused on the bigger picture. They took an agile approach, providing weekly reports and bi-weekly sprint release notes, as well as a functional app for our review at the end of each cycle.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're extremely easy to work and deliver great results. I'll definitely work with them in the future based on their performance.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. They were spot on both in terms of project management and deliverables.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I'd just definitely recommend working with them. They're a quick, efficient, and inexpensive choice for the quality of work they provide.
