I’m the owner of Zoe Ford, a baking mix company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixelida Studio?

We needed help innovating our website, UX, and e-commerce.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pixelida helped us get our site operational, setting up e-commerce with Shopify. Using outside templates, they revamped our website to get our pages looking the way we wanted them to. 

We requested for the website to be very clear and facilitate our customers' shopping experience. The team also helped us improve the backend and the UX, which we wanted to be smooth so everything would make sense for our users. 

They implemented features to get us the information we needed from the website. For example, they integrated Hotjar, which monitors customers' navigation within the website, and where they're leaving the site.

Now that phase one is finished, and the website is working, Pixelida will continue improving our site.

I worked with one person from Pixelida.

How did you come to work with Pixelida Studio?

We were referred to Pixelida by people who had worked with them. I used to live in the same city as one of their teammates when they worked with a world-renowned organization, and friends who'd worked with that organization put us in touch with Pixelida. We've worked together on many different projects by now, so choosing them was also due to familiarity.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent a little less than $5,000 CAD (approximately $3,900 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since working with Pixelida, we've received a lot of compliments on the direction of the website and its ease of use.

Although the UX was outside the realm of what we asked Pixelida to do, they've brought their expertise to the table; they've made sure we understand how customers operate, think, and what they're looking for. 

How did Pixelida Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is amazing— they're so accurate and reliable. We always have an excellent timetable, so we never have to wonder what's coming up. It's liberating for us not to worry about the project status. Pixelida is also excellent with deadlines. 

We use Google Hangouts for phone and video calls so they can show me the progress of the work. Additionally, we sometimes use email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pixelida is extremely innovative. They think outside the box and suggest things we didn't even know we needed or that they even existed. They're on top of using new technologies and always finding a better way so that we don't even have to think about it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there's nothing they need to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You have to be really clear about what you want and be open to hearing some new ideas to make your vision better.
