I founded my own travel agency, back in 2017. Initially, it would operate as an inbound traveling agency offering local tours around Armenia. Later, my business expanded and my company started offering outbound tourism services. I was the Chief Executive Officer, and my team was made up of 6 full-time and 3 part-time employees.

Having an upscale and responsive website is a must for the hospitality and tourism Industry. I started looking for agencies to help me out with web design and subsequently development. Asking friends for recommendations is a common culture in Armenia so that's what I did. I got a recommendation from a friend to consider PIXEL IT COMPANY for my website development and, lucky me, it worked out quite well.

I think the deciding factor was how easy it was to communicate ideas and finding common ground while discussing my project. I also liked the professionalism of the team and their responsible work ethic.

This was one of the rare situations when I didn't need much involvement in the process in the sense that the team carefully planned and conducted the technical task. The only thing I did was give feedback and suggest some minor suggestions.

I was closely in touch with the CTO and the programmer who was in charge of the whole project.

I was generally pleased with the final result. The site had a clear custom code and, as expected, was 99% bug-free and highly responsive.

We agreed on having weekly reporting throughout the whole timeline. Most of the communication would take place via email and a few onsite meetings. As much as I recall the project was completed even earlier than the prearranged deadline and it took about 2 months.

I liked their professionalism and clear communication style. They are an honest team, true fans of their work. It was really worth the money and time cooperating with the PIXEL IT COMPANY.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't come up with anything specific at the moment that I would want them to do differently so I would just confirm what I mentioned earlier I really liked the outcome.

As a newly entrepreneur ex solopreneur, I decided it was high time I INVEST in a professional and reputable company to take it up a notch and design quality graphics and banners for my upcoming website, social media campaign and art covers of my three YouTube channels I am managing on my own. My goal was to create graphics that represent my image, brand, message all by portraying myself as an individual and self-made personal brand.

The country I live in Armenia is popular for delivering vague promises to clients, therefore I had to hold a proper and extensive research on which company would take on my projects for my website.

Since we live in a small town where word of mouth travels easily, I inquired a few of my friends and came across PIXEL IT COMPANY who also runs a YouTube channel-which is very rare to do here in Armenia as barely anyone uses YouTube here as a PR tool. Truth be told, their presence on this mega platform was extremely promising, so I followed my friends' advice and my inner gut and contacted them.

The CEO, one graphic designer and one other UX/UI designer asked me to visit them at their company in order to get a better understanding and explanation of my goals and projects.

They thoroughly asked me about my profession, what my brand messaging was, how I saw myself in terms of branding to my target audience, what I was trying to avoid and even narrowed it down to understand my exact budget as I mentioned my status of a newly entrepreneur managing the show on my own.

The entire meeting took roughly around two hours which turned out to be very successful and both sides remained extremely satisfied. The graphic designer explained and demonstrated multiple samples, mockups and made sure I delivered my vision to them in every aspect and details. Brand colors, visuals, deadlines and budgets were all thoroughly discussed in every detail. Not one minor aspect was left out.

I worked with two people from the company - the senior graphic designer whose role was to bring my vision to life by using all the proper rules and experience he portrayed through design, as well as the UX/UI designer who helped more with visuals, GIFs, color coordination and explained how exactly should I create my graphics to make it user friendly as possible.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I just received my final projects a few days ago and I am now in the process of working with my web designer who will use the graphics in my website. I however have showed the project to FIVE other professionals in the field of UX/UI design and graphic design who provided an unbiased opinion, that they would indeed be tempted to visit my website, subscribe to my YouTube channel and that it would most certainly generate traffic, leads and sales. A few other friends added that the graphics described my personal brand quite accurately.

Communication tools - 10 stars (Asked many questions, listened to everything I had to say, managed to show me both offline and online multiple mockups, samples, and even took time out of their personal lives to ask me questions regarding the process) Timeliness - I was promised that the project would be complete in one month and the promise was kept in perfect manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I loved their commitment to making sure all my needs are met and addressed. Took time to liberally go over my content, my YouTube channel, my personal profiles and my very extensive vision/mood board to get an exact replica of what I wanted to create for my visuals. Most people hardly even listen and create something by copying other designers. PIXEL IT COMPANY took the time and liberty to research me as an entrepreneur who wants to deliver professional content.

Truth be told I genuinely don't have any comments on what they need to improve. They are a group of highly talented professionals who exceeded all my expectations.

I’m the founder and CEO of a software product development agency based in Yerevan, Armenia. We work with startups and SMEs by helping them with their digitization efforts.

Our first project with PIXEL IT COMPANY was a two-month brand identity project in 2020. We’re now working on a second project that involves UI/UX design and branding for a mobile app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The deliverables for the first project included a company logo and branding elements for both the website and printed materials. For that, we had a conversation with them to outline our style and preferences. The second assignment is a branding project for a different startup, as well as UI/UX design for their mobile app. 

This includes wireframing, user journey development, and the actual design work. We initially provided some basic mock-ups to serve as a basis for their work, and we handle the actual development of the mobile app.

What is the team composition?

There were two people involved in the first project, while we have two branding specialists and a UI/UX designer working on the second project right now.

How did you come to work with PIXEL IT COMPANY?

Someone referred PIXEL IT COMPANY to me about a year ago.

How much have you invested with them?

The initial project was worth around $2,000 USD. For the current project, we’ve spent about $3,000–$3,500 USD so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2020. The first project ended in two months and when we needed their help again, we got in touch and started the second project about 2–3 months ago — which is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We really liked the visual elements that they created for the project that we completed last year, and we were pleased with the results. The current project hasn’t been completed yet, so there’s nothing publicly live that I can provide comments for.

How did PIXEL IT COMPANY perform from a project management standpoint?

We had quite intensive communications at the start, which included having phone conversations a couple of times a week. Now, we only have weekly calls to try to stay in the loop together, and everything has been positive and professional. We mainly speak over Slack and phone calls, and we don’t have any other tools in place.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always something that can be improved, but overall, we’ve had a nice experience working with PIXEL IT COMPANY — we get what we expect from them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

For any project being outsourced to a third party, my advice would be to set the expectations for the results you want as clearly as possible. I would also suggest staying in touch with the people working on the project as much as possible, as long as it doesn’t distract them from doing their job.

The project was complex and huge by nature given the fact that it should combine an E-commerce platform with integrated AI and Social network patterns. Additionally, there was also included Admin pages, created in order to help shops to operate online. The work included creating UI/UX for the PC, Mobile and Tablet versions.

The branding itself was hard to perform since I wanted something unique which will be fancy (as it is related to clothes shopping) and modern/geeky (which would emphasize AI functions)

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As a result PIXEL IT COMPANY staff demonstrated due care and a professional approach to fulfill all the complex requests I raised for the project. Their passionate work helped us not only to receive products on time but also to have a unique and recognizable logo and site style.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were working together every time wrapping up all the milestones done. PIXEL IT COMPANY was bounteous in giving advice on how to improve the UI/UX of the site as well as for the branding.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their products look different among other local similar companies, and you can use them in Europe, US and the rest of the world I believe. My project's key audience was also the people who live out of Armenia, especially for the people who live in US and I was very satisfied with the work they did.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't remember something that will be useful to share. Will only recommend always grow up and do not give up. All was fine.
