Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and CEO of Tripelina, a digital travel agency that allows users to search, plan, and book their trips.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pirate Scale?
We needed our website to gain more traffic and engagement to lead to more conversions. We also wanted to establish a stronger presence on social media. In the competitive tourism sector, social media is just as important as a business website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The team primarily worked on the social media side. They also helped with SEO. The first step in our collaboration was to find a dedicated strategy for the needs we had. After that, I went through the business strategy for the company and the anticipated growth. Once that was resolved, their team went to work, keeping us in the loop about their progress with the social media strategy.
For the SEO side, we worked closely with a copywriter to make sure everything was written correctly and properly to ensure everything was ranking higher in the searches. They worked alongside my web development team, giving us ideas of what to adjust within my site. On social media, they helped with Facebook and Instagram mostly.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From the start, we saw a powerful increase in brand awareness and organic reach. We saw more engagement in site visits and through our newsletter because of the catchy titles their team came up with. We also worked extensively on the SEO side to make it even stronger.
The team was eager to explain everything to our side, making sure we were aligned.
How did Pirate Scale perform from a project management standpoint?
From a project management standpoint, it’s quite effective. Their team was keeping us updated. It was very professional. They were available to us whenever we needed them to. If we had questions, they would immediately answer back. They were very hands-on, which was very fantastic. We would always touch base once a week.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with all of their work. Hiring them was the right move at the right time. By helping and working alongside me, they helped to apply the right concept and content. I really needed their input.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could invest more time in design. I did like their graphics, but my ideas weren’t out of the box. I think they could do a little more, but that’s a bit outside of their scope. In the end, it all worked out great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open to somebody that cares about your project. Every job they undertake, they feel like it’s their own. Pirate Scale takes every single project to heart. I think it’s exceptional that they care that much and go the extra mile in this day and age.

We wanted to build brand awareness and get more active on our Social Media. We had a Facebook Page, a Facebook group and an Instagram account, but we wanted to build a community around them.

The first semester was about creating the ideal strategy and marketing plan. A plan that could fit our budget, our services and most importantly our clients’ needs. We start improving our image on Social Media. Let me better say, creating our image on social media.
They start scheduling monthly posts with targeted texts and followed up with advertising. In the first 2 months already we started getting really stronger on Social Media. Our customers and audience increased by 15%.

We mostly worked with 3 people. The general manager of the company (she really knows everything about the internet, and I mean everything), the copywriter and sometimes we had calls with the ads
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
In the first 2 months we already saw our social media engagement and sales increased. Our sales actually increased by 15%!! The results were much better than our expectations. We continue getting stronger every month. By now we have almost 3,000 likes on our facebook page – starting from zero.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was great. They manage to keep us updated for every detail. They were also asking for our confirmation for every post, text or advertising they suggested to run.
We never felt ignored or afraid to ask things we weren't familiar with regarding social media and advertising. If I could describe our partnership with one phrase that would be that we felt really safe.
And I think that’s the most important feeling when it comes to your company and the partnerships you forge.

They were fully focused on us. They took care of our company like it was theirs. We are really more than happy to have hired them. We couldn’t imagine a better collaboration.

I am the general manager of Nexus Energy Center. Our flagship project is called the Comfort Project.
The Comfort Project is a targeted community-based effort to make homes more comfortable and less expensive to operate through the installation of energy efficiency measures.
At no cost to them, we help elderly, underserved, fixed-income, and disabled homeowners permanently lower utility costs, allowing them to use those savings on other necessities, such as food and medicine.

Increasing our website visibility and starting getting a presence in social media were our main goals. We are a big brand in Haute Couture fashion, but our presence online wasn’t representative of our work, quality and style. The first step was to create a contemporary website, with the proper UX/UI. We were impressed not only because they were really fast at understanding what we needed but also reaaaaly fast on delivery. We had our eshop up and running within a month!
Now our clients were able to take a look at our products, and therefore, shop globally. After finishing our website, we start working with our Social Media accounts. Posts with more targeted content and advertising in specific niche were the first things of their strategy that we implemented and that worked within the first 3 months.

We worked mostly with 4 people. We start our first call and meeting with the manager and CEO of the company. After that, we worked with the Web Developer and our dedicated Social Media Manager. We also had some meetings with their graphic designer when we needed it for a launch or a campaign.
We felt really comfortable with all of them. We could speak our minds and they did not judge when we did not like something and also they didn’t charge extra for the changes – which was extremely important in our case. Fashion is all about change after all!

In only 1 month our website was up and running, fully functional and according to our taste! I mean WOW! In 1 month! Also, in the first 3 months we had already reached about 15-20% more audience and sales increase worldwide.
Our targeted content gained the organic reach we were hoping for, and our website sales were a reality. We also saw a raise in the engagement in our Social Media too.

Our partnership was great. We were communicating a lot in the beginning due to the eshop. And even though it was intense it run smoothly. We were always aware of all kinds of changes and updates. They always asked for our permission before proceeding to any kind of changes or strategies concerning our brand.

The most impressive thing about this company is that they make you and your company feel really special. They were and still are really focused on our needs, no matter the pressure and the difficulties of their daily job.

Our first meetings were dedicated in explaining to them our policies and strategies, in discussing our automation tools and business goals. The second step was a business development plan offered by Pirate Scale for 3 of our clients in the beginning. For another 4 later on that we saw the first really great results.
Their strategies and proposals got us really excited, so we immediately started applying them. We were very satisfied to see Pirate Scale paying full attention to anything we had to say, any details, any need our company and our clients had. The thing we appreciated the most, was that, as a company, they weren’t afraid to speak their minds.
They were always proposing out of the box ideas and were willing to take risks and work and walk the extra mile in order to achieve results with minimum risk of course!

We basically work closely with three people from their team. One of them is their managing director, because our work entails a lot of strategy and planning and she is the expert in this. She was really focused on our meetings, taking notes in detail, explaining what works and what doesn’t today in Greece and not just theoretically what is supposed to be working.
All of the people we were working with, were very kind, helpful and always available via email or phone during and some times after working hours.

We saw a medium of 25% better results {more sales with the same budget} throughout our clients in their different respective industries. Also, the new business development angle left our customers surprised in a very positive way and we were able to prolong 3 very important for us contracts because of that!
By hiring Pirate Scale for our online business strategists and consultants on facebook, Instagram and google ads, we simply reached the impossible, we have now less cost and more profit! By now, we are growing even more as a company, not to mention that we are getting even stronger. We are more confident to even bring more clients in because we know we can deliver.

The project managers that we were assigned were really easy to communicate with and provided us with constant updates and support. They were replying in less than 24h to anything we might need, always able and flexible to arrange online meeting or phone calls. Even during after office hours if we really needed them, they were available for us and we appreciated it the most, since some things were happening and needed an urgent response.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They really love what they are doing. Passion and knowledge lead them to the top. They are simply bringing results, guaranteed. They will never stop making you grow bigger and better. Most importantly, they are not afraid to speak their minds. They will tell you the truth, even if sometimes you really don’t wanna hear it, and they will just do what’s best for your company. We pay them but actually in return, they are bringing much more money to our company.
Are there any areas for improvement?
As far as it concerns me and my company, there are no arrears for improvement. There is nothing we would like to change in our collaboration so far. Maybe, if we could add something it would be that we would like an even faster response, let’s say 4 hours for every request. But we understand that this is a huge stretch for any company. Thus it is not such a big problem for the time being – especially with the after hours service we get.

All these details are very serious for a company in our niche. And we were very satisfied to see Pirate Scale were taking diligent notes, they were very detail oriented and helped us to clarify even more our needs and the hindrances that might arise. We also explained to them the initial budget we wanted to invest.
Once they had all the info, only 1 week later they cam back with a kick ass strategy that with some minors shifts works until today!

We worked closely with 2 people from their team. And we also met with their Managing Director for our semi - annual meeting every semester. She was really focused on our meetings, she explained what worked and what didn't and we co - created our next steps and the alternations in our strategy, in order to perform even better!
The 2 account managers we were working with, one in charge of the copywriting and the other in charge of the ads were very polite and helpful and always a phone call away. We could reach them even during the weekends - especially on high seasonality periods.

We saw a 35% raise of sales through our social media and this percentage constantly grows every passing month. We also saw a 50% raise on our sales in the neighbouring big cities. What is more, now many people from restaurants and cafe bars know about us, thus we expanded in a different niche as well. Brand awareness through social media worked miracles for our local store.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was perfect. We mainly used emails, airtable and google drive. We communicated a lot over the phone as well since we have 1 dedicated key account manager just for us. This gave us a lot of freedom to suggest more ideas and implement them immediately. Also, it gives us a feeling of security that someone has our back, no matter what happens!

They know internet. They know social media! MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY KNOW SALES. They don't just jibber jabber in order to confuse you. When something is off or they are sure will not work they tell you. They are not afraid to tell you "no" if this means their work will stay in high quality. We pay them and in return they bring way more money in our company. We don't need anything else from a partner. This is why we don't change them.

I am the CEO of Chic Greek Gifts. Chic Greek Gifts work with clients of all sizes from all around the world and in just about any industry. Chic Greek Gifts clients include: tourism organisations, food and non-food retailers, doctors and clinics, governmental bodies, real estate and construction companies, universities, artists, wedding planners, MICE professionals.
For what projects/services did your company hire Pirate Scale?
We needed to hire someone that knows how the online world works. We wanted to build our brand nation wide in Greece but also wherever in the world people value Greek ideals. We mainly targeted USA, Germany, Australia and the UK. We started as a one woman show, in the attic of our apartment.
No longer an one-woman show and no longer in the attic, Chic Greek Gifts team now works out of an office-show room that has even hosted the Tedx Women pre-event, on the island of Crete. We couldn't be more excited with the growth after our trip in the Social Media world!
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to become among the leading players of corporate gifts in Greece and also expand mainly in the USA. We wanted to have our brand connected with culture, history and all things chic. We wanted to get recognised for our quality and agility into creating the prefect gift for practically everybody.
How did you select Pirate Scale?
We saw previous works they did with big brands in Greece. We also saw them teaching a lot of their secrets online and offline. They were giving a lot of value, asking nothing in return.
They wanted to build a strong marketing community in Greece - that is really behind in quality service providing. Thus we contacted them, we tried them for a month and it was a match. We still work with them and we will continue working!
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
For the first semester, we worked really hard on connecting all the dots. We had more than 12 discovery calls and also 3 meetings in person. Our team was giving them direction regarding our needs and they were coming back with ideas, with multiple proposals and concrete plans in order to create a strategy that fit our needs.
Then and there we knew we did the right choice, because this is what we needed. A custom made plan that is designed for us and most likely will work. Not something that the books say and that might work for a different company or a different sector.
We love this unique and tailor made approach. We know online works for everybody, but you have to find what it is that it works. Well Pirate Scale found out about it! After the first semester we just scaled and we put even more budget in the ads. We were simply scaling!!!!
What was the team composition?
From our part at the beginning is was just me. Later on we cooperated with a graphic designer, our marketing manager and our IT guy. From their part, the first semester I worked closely with their CEO and later with two team members, the key account manager and the social media manager that were allocated to us!
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We saw a 50% increase of our social media engagement, with little to no budget. The content created was so good that it was practically speaking for itself. No matter the algorithms, the content and the ideas simply worked.
We also saw a 40% increase on our Etsy sales and on our website orders as well! Plus, our branding was our of the roof!
By today, we had Maria Menounos & Kevin Undergaro having our gifts for her wedding, Amine Gulse - the world known model, The Prince of Wales and Dutches of Cornwall received also a Chic Greek Gift during their visit in Greece, along with Chris North and Nikos Aliagas and many more influential people!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Seriously, it is like we have them in house. We had constant communication, they were replying in less than 24 hours to everything we would need or ask. They were always flexible in meeting with us even during after office hours especially during the launch of new products or our new website or Etsy shop!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They simply bring results. They do not lie when a situation is difficult. They always inform you when a launch will be challenging but they do not stop until they find a solution that works. Sometimes they seriously believed more in our products than we did. And having such push from your partners always make you grow bigger and better! For that we are eternally grateful.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I feel that they only are of improvement would be if we could afford them to hire them only for us! haha! Seriously they simply get an A+
