A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Mindsight Management is an event planning company. We manage educational, self-development, and well-being events. We’ve planned five events so far, and we’ll be introducing book reading events as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pictures n Ideas?
They’ve facilitated everything for me, starting from the early stages of setting up my website and helping with marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Pictures n Ideas designed and developed my website, and they’re continuing to update it with new events. The site has registration and event booking functionalities. We’re planning to move all events online now, and Pictures n Ideas developed a full ticketing system where clients can add their information and pay easily using VISA and other gateways. Another feature was added so clients will receive a confirmation email once they’ve finished the registration.
They’ve also helped me with some marketing solutions, integrating MailChimp and some pixel codes into the website. We also have a newsletter system now.
What is the team composition?
I’ve dealt with a single person from Pictures n Ideas, but there are a couple of people included in emails.
How did you come to work with Pictures n Ideas?
They’d built the website of a company I was working for, and someone there recommended them to me. I looked at Pictures n Ideas’ website and liked it, so I contacted them.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost so far is roughly 2,300 BD (approximately $6,100 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with Pictures n Ideas in November 2019, and it’s ongoing. I’m planning to renew the contract for next year.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The design of the website was impressive to me. It’s very modern, and it’s easy to access and use. I’ve asked clients how they found the registration and ticket purchase process, and I’ve gotten really good feedback. The site is mobile responsive and loads well on any device. I was a bit concerned about how pictures would display, but I haven’t had any problems with that.
I’ve recommended Pictures n Ideas to a couple of friends running their own businesses, who were looking for app and website development.
How did Pictures n Ideas perform from a project management standpoint?
They make any website updates I ask for within the same day, and it’s easy to communicate with them. We talk through email, phone, and WhatsApp. We had in-person meetings initially, but we’ve used Zoom since the COVID-19 situation. I got a clear proposal from them from the very beginning, covering all the services they’d be providing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Communication is easy with them, and they’re always willing to help. I had a problem with payments on the website one time so I notified them about it outside of office hours, but they responded and fixed the problem on the spot. They’re always willing to provide ideas and they’re really creative with marketing solutions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything has been okay so far.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
My only advice is to work with them.

Web & E-Commerce Development for Jewelry Design Company
“They achieved more than we expected with our website.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director for Aisha Jewels. We’re a jewel design company that started about four years ago in Bahrain. There are five employees in the company, and we have a major virtual presence in Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pictures n Ideas?
We had a static website and needed to modernize it to meet the demand for an interactive, user-friendly interface. Essentially, we were looking to create something unique on a small budget.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We presented Pictures n Ideas with a template of what we wanted. From that, they developed our website using WordPress. Key criteria included requirements that the website be mobile-friendly and have Arabic as its default language. Our goal was to achieve a simple and easy experience for the least tech-savvy customers.
We wanted the website to have the feel of going to an appointment in our private studio; therefore, we didn’t want any marketing or pop-ups on it. A customer can visit our website, look through different pieces, find the respective prices, and screenshot their desired product. Now that development is over, Pictures n Ideas currently handles the maintenance of the website.
What is the team composition?
The majority of contact is with our account manager. However, we interact with others through different phases, including Abdullah (Creative Consultant) as well as technical and gateway integration people.
How did you come to work with Pictures n Ideas?
I asked some heads of IT for recommendations and two of them directed me to them. We were considering another company but ultimately selected Pictures n Ideas. Essentially, it came down to how happy we were with their proposal. They have a great business understanding as well as impressive technical skills.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested about $8,000. Development costs were $6,500, plus the add-ons.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in March 2019, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The amount of time users spend doing transactions has been greatly reduced by the ease of the website. This is because it allows them to figure out exactly what they want ahead of time. Our Google Analytics shows we’ve had 1,200 users in the last seven days and 10,000 users in the last 90 days. We have a low bounce rate and people spend around 5–7 minutes on the website.
They achieved more than we expected with our website. This is in regard to how they answered many FAQs and saved us a lot of time we’d been spending on that.
How did Picture n Ideas perform from a project management standpoint?
We had initial meetings to discuss and make some modifications. There was a delivery table that occurred week-by-week. The only delays in meeting timelines are due to changes on our end.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This team is very honest about what they don’t understand in relation to business matters; this is unlike other technical people I’ve dealt with. Pictures n Ideas asks for more information and shows that they want to understand. They know their technical matters very well. I’m impressed with their honesty about what they don’t know.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to do market research and clearly communicate what your expectations and goals are.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of a virtual architecture firm. We mostly interact with our clients online where they can easily submit forms and invoices.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pictures n Ideas?
We wanted someone to create an online portfolio for us and help us create a system where clients can communicate with our in-house team.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They created a web page-based portfolio of our work. Their team primarily worked with the frontend for design and development.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two people from Picture n Ideas, including a project manager.
How did you come to work with Pictures n Ideas?
I chose them because they were professional and they understood how to refine our theme.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $5,000 in their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in January 2019, and the project wrapped up in March 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The changes they made to our website impressed our users. Our competition in the area doesn’t have anything like this, so it’s helped us stand out.
How did Pictures n Ideas perform from a project management standpoint?
They were really good. We submitted some materials to them last minute, and they were still able to complete the project on time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication was impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them the freedom to work on the project and be creative.

Website Dev for Mosque Architecture Company
"Everyone in my team was comfortable working with them."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re an architectural awards organization. We focus on mosque architecture, and we have a scientific program that includes an online portal. The organization has a digital library, database, and mosque encyclopedia. The award itself is like the Oscars, but for mosque architecture. We give awards to architects who make good mosques, architecturally. I’m the supervisor of the award affairs and the head of the scientific program.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pictures n Ideas?
We needed a company that could transfer our architectural theme into an online portal. We had a huge project with five concurrent subprojects and we needed a company that could translate our ideas into reality. Our in-house team was unable to meet the needs of our users.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided web development and design. We began with three scientific projects and the award website. Our team required the website to be flexible—it contained a database, a mosque encyclopedia, and a digital library. We asked Pictures n Ideas to design the site’s structure. They gave us a plan for how they intended to do this. We began with a strategy, then they gave us the site map. We interfered in some of the designs since we’re designers ourselves. We worked together on the design, actually. Before the design, they made the site map.
They always brought different devices with them—MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad Pro—so they could show us how the work looked on different devices.
The awards site was done on WordPress. I don’t know what coding technologies were used for the other sites. We asked them to make fully customizable websites, but I don’t know how they did it.
What is the team composition?
We had direct contact with three people, one of whom was from the marketing department. We continued our work with two people, one of which specialized in backend coding. The other presented designs and other creative products.
How did you come to work with Pictures n Ideas?
They’d worked with one of our sister companies, which recommended them to us. They gave us a presentation, one of many, as we took offers from other companies. Although Pictures n Ideas was a bit higher in price, we felt they’d be able to do what we needed.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve paid them 600,000–700,000 Saudi riyals ($159,915–$186,567 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Pictures n Ideas around June 2018. Our work with them isn’t done yet, as we’ve kept adding features and websites.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our portal was nominated for one of the excellence awards for websites in Dubai at the beginning of 2019.
How did Pictures n Ideas perform from a project management standpoint?
We used email to discuss and approve the process. They gave us a site map after the initial meeting and some design samples. After approving those, we got to the design stage, where they showed us images and video presentations of the pages we needed.
Subsequently, they started the coding stage, where they applied the site map to the design. While doing this, they kept us updated and sent us links to test the site. We gave them our feedback step by step. I’m not an expert in this field, but the process looked professional. They kept the timelines well, but we’ve had some delays lately. To be fair, those were from our side as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m not an expert in the area, but one thing I can say is that Pictures n Ideas worked with us as though they were one of our team. We worked together to make the site successful. Everyone in my team was comfortable working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could improve in terms of timing. I need to give this advice to myself as well.
