Interface redesign for Bekum Control 8.0
Interface redesign for Bekum Control 8.0 – a touchscreen control system that is offered as a standard for all Bekum injection blow moulding machines. Injection blow moulding is a process for the production of hollow plastic parts.
The requirement for the project was to achieve the highest possible ease of use through the efficiency and structure of the information and to provide the user with the highest possible level of safety in the operating process. Particularly noteworthy is the machine’s dashboard, which displays all important process parameters.
The challenge for the team was to address all the different user roles in the development of the user experience, from the semi-skilled machine operator to the Bekum service technician.
The interface redesign is based on the corporate colours and the corporate design of Bekum.

User Interface Design - ZEISS Tempar
Translating complex data into comprehensible insights through a user-friendly interface is one of our specialties. Our skills were also required for ZEISS Tempar, a combination of sensor network and software application that records and logs all precision-relevant values in the measuring room environment.
The application is operated via a dashboard that required a clear display of values tailored to the user's requirements, and warnings in the event of deviations. In addition to real-time data, the console was expected to offer further features such as historical documentation and various export options, and that several measuring rooms could be monitored simultaneously in the cockpit.
Peschkedesign’s responsibility in the ZEISS Tempar project therefore consisted of drawing up the concept for the entire user experience and for the interface design of the application based on these requirements. A major challenge was visualising the convoluted subject matter clearly and intuitively to present the users with all data relevant to the measuring room. Thanks to our team’s efforts and experience, the interface is up to the task and successfully supports users in the daily monitoring of the measuring room environment.

Austrian Animation featuring the ReBranding
In 2018, the Lufthansa Group’s Austrian Airlines fleet started a brand relaunch, which has since been honoured with the Red Dot Award.
For the purpose of visualising the new design, Peschkedesign created presentation images and animations for the entire fleet. Scene setup, atmospheric simulation and lighting, terrain creation and compositing all required thorough research into technology, aircraft design and environmental influences. Together with a strong eye for detail, our 3D and animation experts created highly realistic images and videos of an aircraft in various stunning sceneries and settings.
Our animation and image designs highlight the modernised aspects of the renewed brand image such as logo and typography, and communicate the charm of the airline as well as Lufthansa’s values of technical competence, innovation and reliability.

Brand identity for Wintec
As the world market leader in the field of injection moulding machines, Engel Group decided to develop the Wintec brand identity for their production in China.
Product design, brand identity and market communication were developed in parallel by Peschkedesign.
The design of the machines and the corporate design convey the dynamics of the new brand as well as the high quality standards – and at the same time establish the connection to the parent brand.

Human-Machine Interface Design for Machinery Company
"Peschkedesign was focused on fulfilling our objectives."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the manager of automation technology at Bekum, a machinery company. We build machines for the plastics industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Peschkedesign?
We needed help redesigning the human-machine interface (HMI) of our machines.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Peschkedesign helped us improve our machines' HMI, which was basically its UI/UX. They divided the project into four phases. First, the team examined our problems and provided a more detailed proposal. Then came the second phase, where we collaborated with them to analyze our previous HMI and identify our requirements for the new design.
With our goals in mind, the Peschkedesign team then moved on to the design phase. Aside from refining the UI/UX design, they also redesigned the graphics. After they delivered the design and schematics, our internal team implemented their work into our machines. We then introduced the HMI design on a significant plastics machinery show.
What is the team composition?
We worked with the CEO and two graphic designers.
How did you come to work with Peschkedesign?
We knew of them because they were located relatively close to us. The CEO gave good presentations and was easy to talk to, so we decided to hire them. They also gave convincing testimonials.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent €35,000 (approximately $40,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from October 2018–October 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project was successful — we utilized the HMI on all of our machines, and it made it easier for operators to use them. The graphics also looked nice and modern.
How did Peschkedesign perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was good; they met deadlines and were very responsive. We didn't use any project management tools, but we communicated via email and phone calls, and they usually replied within the day. Additionally, we had in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were very impressed at how quickly they accommodated our requests — meeting our goals was essential to them. Unlike other agencies who try to push their ideas into projects, Peschkedesign was focused on fulfilling our objectives and implementing our ideas.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, it was an outstanding collaboration.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Work closely together and interact with the designers to ensure the project's success.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and CEO of Dlouhy, a company that manufactures ambulances.
What challenge were you trying to address with Peschkedesign?
We’re working with Peschkedesign on a software development project that aims to organize our people and medical products.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Before we started with Peschkedesign, we’d already developed a piece of software. When we started collaborating, we began developing new UX designs. The entire project started years ago, but they got involved only in 2020.
At present, they work closely with our developer to create UX designs for our software.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with one person.
How did you come to work with Peschkedesign?
We’d known Peschkedesign for a pretty long time because we did a project with Matthis (Managing Director) before. As a result, when we started working on this new project, we contacted them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around €75,000 (approximately $90,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Peschkedesign is good at their job. The design they produce is nice, and we’re happy with it. On top of that, customers who’ve seen the project say that it feels special; the design and UX is great. Meanwhile, the Peschkedesign team is highly flexible as they grow with us and our developers. Overall, we’ve had a great collaboration.
How did Peschkedesign perform from a project management standpoint?
Peschkedesign usually fulfills all deadlines. We do experience some bottlenecks in the timeline because our developers aren’t fast enough, but that’s our side’s fault. Peschkedesign, meanwhile, are always steps ahead of us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
While I don’t have much experience in the design and development market, our company has been truly happy with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. Their price could be a little cheaper, but if we like quality, we have to pay a certain amount of money.

Product Design Services for 3D Printing Company
"It’s nice working with them. They’re very responsive and helpful despite being a very young company."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of UpNano, a 3D printing company. We build 3D printing systems especially in high resolution with feature size in the range of 170 nanometers for high tech applications like in optical or consumer electronics or medical device sector. I’m responsible for marketing and business development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Peschkedesign?
We needed help with the design of the machine. It’s quite a high-tech machine at a higher price level. It was our aim that the design and the outer casing reflected that. We didn’t want it to be super normal.
Additionally, we wanted a flexible design that could apply to a product family. The first impression is always important and the design of the machine is a key factor in that.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Peschkedesign provides product design services. Their team built it from scratch all the way to final implementation. We started by going through different design ideas from their side.
The decision for the first design was made 3–4 months after we started. We’re still working on other design components with them, including designs for accessories in this product family. We also have a second machine already in development that we’ll have designed by them later on.
What is the team composition?
We were in contact with the owner and one of his designers throughout the project.
How did you come to work with Peschkedesign?
We reached out to them. They were also based in Vienna which was good for us to have them close for meetings and also during the design process. Their offer matched our expectations price-wise and the scope of the project.
How much have you invested with them?
We have invested less than $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2019 and it's ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very happy with the quality of their work and their feedback. It’s nice working with them. They’re very responsive and helpful despite being a very young company.
They also helped by establishing context to the manufacturer and supporting the transition. We have a very good business relationship with them.
How did Peschkedesign perform from a project management standpoint?
We have very good communication with them. We’re always in contact. We use email and phone. We had online meetings. Communication is quick. Within a half day or a day, we have an answer if we need something. They’re very responsive and fast.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Peschkedesign gets involved in the production meetings and gives their feedback. They’re always focused on finding a solution that meets the requirements for manufacturing, but is also satisfying for us from a design point of view. This was very helpful.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything is really satisfying.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We recommend working with them. If you have a framework of what you want to achieve as well as a price, they will be focused on fulfilling that for you. They always keep an eye on the budget.

Mobile App Dev & Marketing for Optoelectronics
"What’s nice about Peschkedesign, is they work way over their regular contracts."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the project manager in software and tech development for an optoelectronics company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Peschkedesign?
Basically, we needed to set up a business or consumer app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re designing and developing a customer app called ZEISS Hunting App. This app runs natively on Android, iOS, and Progressive Web App, which synchronizes in real-time. The team is responsible for designing the UI, as well as managing the app's updates. As our full-stack provider, they helped us create a features software roadmap, to help realize our vision and global goal.
The main feature of this app is connectivity, which enables you to connect to hardware products. Connectivity is the core function and reason for this effort, because we want to enable users to engage physical products using the app’s software features. Furthermore, we set up a 360-degree customer journey within the app, where hunters can pop out a journal, use a product, and talk to each other and set up in hunting grounds.
Additionally, they help strategize our online and offline marketing campaigns, to reach existing and new customers. They optimized the site's SEO and ASO so customers can find our product on Google, the App Store, and the Google Play store. Moreover, they help us identify innovations in the field that may occur within the next year.
The app is available in 180 countries and everybody can download it. However, the core functionalities are for nature observers and hunters. The app is free and there are no premium models for it.
They're currently providing us with ongoing maintenance support.
What is the team composition?
I’m working with about five people from their team. There’s a UX designer, UI designer, project manager, marketing, and web app developer.
How did you come to work with Peschkedesign?
I found them through research. I checked their homepage to see what they do, and we set up a phone call. Afterwhich, we met in person and things moved on from there.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in January 2016, and the partnership is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Globally, we have an overall ranking of 4.2 stars for the app, and over 1,500 reviews from customers. If we combine external and internal downloads, we’ve accumulated more than 250,000 downloads.
The team has excellent customer service, and they’re always taking care of the project. In terms of lifecycle management, they also take care of the customers whenever they have questions regarding the app or our products. They provide us with first-hand, full-stack support from division to customer care.
How did Peschkedesign perform from a project management standpoint?
Peschkedesign performs excellently, and they listen to our plans, visions, and goals carefully. They also come up with their own ideas, but they don’t push them too hard. Some of their ideas are even added to the project. We use agile project management platforms like Jira and Trello. Then, we communicate through email and Slack, and have our daily or bi-weekly scrum meetings through Microsoft Teams, Skype, or through the phone.
When I need to reach them on Saturday or Sunday after working hours, it won’t be a problem for them. They’re very responsive and their response doesn’t take more than 15 minutes.
What’s nice about Peschkedesign, is they work way over their regular contracts — they tell us how the market is evolving. They link the dots that you don’t see at first sight, and provide us with tips and recommendations. Moreover, they don’t get upset when we have a different opinion, or if we don’t want to do what they recommend. Above all, they’re very kind, they don’t push.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have very deep knowledge and understanding of how to set up a vision for the future. They offer solutions on how to break it down, how to set up an ecosystem, and how to connect products. They also have a deep technical understanding of marketing, and they create great designs when it comes to logos, UI, and product catalogs. Their full service is what makes Peschkedesign great.
You don’t need five different companies doing one thing, you just need Peschkedesign and they’ll have one person for everything you need in the project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything right now. We’ve been working together for five years and we’re doing very well — they keep improving constantly. I used to work directly with the CEO, but when the company grew, he got busier and started hiring more people to do the work. Our collaboration lessened but it was a necessary step forward. It made everything way better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice would be to set up a schedule and talk to them with an open mind. Include them in your plans and don’t look at them as just a supplier and integrate them into your development team.

What challenge were you trying to address with Peschkedesign?
We wanted someone to design our website.

What is the team composition?
We work with Alexander (Managing Director), and 2-3 others from his team.

We invested between $10,000 - $15,000 for the initial website.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together around January 2008, and it’s ongoing.

The website works well for us; we are in contact with several lawyers in other countries. The feedback they’ve given has been positive, finding the information on our site to be good, and they have expressed interest in the rankings on our site, which are rare for law firm websites.
We are happy with the website and confident in the partnership with this team. We also like that we have the ability to edit and change content on our own.
How did Peschkedesign perform from a project management standpoint?
Peschkedesign is excellent. They are available and extremely responsive. We have in-person meetings, as well as communicate via phone and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?

UI/UX Design for Software Product Development Company
"The entire team is motivated and helpful."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the project manager for the software product development of our IIoT Edge computing platform Nerve.
For what projects/services did your company hire Peschkedesign?
We had hired Peschkedesign before for the design of our industrial PC housing and it had a very positive impact on brand recognition. So when we decided to revamp our UI on the Software Platform it just made perfect sense to include them for UI/UX concerns.
How did you select this vendor?
There already was an established relation between our companies and they have never failed to deliver.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Their focus was on understanding the technical aspects and features that our Platform provides for our customers and come up with a concept that fit different usage styles - Personas - as the user base would not be homogenic. They also revamped the whole user experience based on these considerations and without losing the established brand identity.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Apart of Mr. Peschke himself, i was in close contact with 3 very motivated and charming members of Peschkedesign. They were mostly designers and a PM.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are very happy with the output that the Peschkedesign-Team has provided us so far and are looking forward of continuing our relationship.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was very easy and fast. The entire team is motivated and helpful. They would answer promptly to requests and mails. Also by providing some cloud-based platform for the UI designs, it was easy to spread the knowledge and designs and to onboard new people.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their fast responsiveness, eye for detail and patience for contradicting requirements :)
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None
Dedicated to meeting expectations, Peschkedesign produced functional and well-designed deliverables. Upon applying the design to the machinery, the client noted an improvement in their ease of use. Accommodating and responsive, the team was receptive to feedback and quickly fulfilled requests.
