Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Shade by Randa. We sell sunglasses, and we specialize in customizing eyewear, eyewear cases, and microfiber cloths.
What challenge were you trying to address with Perception Works?
They’re helping us with rebranding.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Perception Works is in the process of redesigning my logo, where they’re reinventing our existing branding and retooling what we already have in existence — taking away and adding things.
The team is also leading our website migration efforts. They’re currently working on transferring the details from my previous platform into the new one. We’ve also discussed what layouts and colors I’m looking for.
What is the team composition?
We work with developers, designers, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Perception Works?
I met Perception Works’ owner at a clubhouse and when he reached out to me, he was interested in helping our company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $600.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2021, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve discussed every little thing about the rebranding, and I appreciate that the Perception Works team has been very detail-oriented. They’ve also included me in their process and that allows me to share my opinions and talk to them about what’s the best direction they should take for the project.
How did Perception Works perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re on time and considerate, and most importantly, they have a lot of resources. We closely keep in contact with each other to ensure that everything’s fine. To do that, we set up meetings every other week so we can discuss the project together.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have amazing customer service, and everybody on their team is very helpful and nice. That’s something I look for when working with a service provider or another team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, Perception Works is great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re a hands-on person, you can look forward to being included in every step and detail of your project once you partner with Perception Works. You’ll also have the opportunity to sit down and work closely with them.

I make handmade jewelry and natural products for men and women. I’ve been doing it for four years now. I help people use natural solutions for their skin, such as essential oils. I also have a blog on my site.
What challenge were you trying to address with Perception Works?
I needed help with my website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They took a look at my site to identify what’s missing and areas I can improve. For example, they asked me questions about what I wanted to offer to my customer and community. Branding is the biggest thing I’ll be working on this year.

I worked with Brandon (Owner).
How did you come to work with Perception Works?
I work at Whole Foods and Brandon works at Amazon and we just started talking one day.

We started working November 2020, and our work is ongoing.

I haven’t put any of their suggestions in motion yet, since I’m only one person. I can see how his questions will help me get more in depth with branding and content.
How did Perception Works perform from a project management standpoint?
Brandon is very prompt. The questions he asked were well thought out. Anytime I have a question about anything, he’s very good about responding. We communicate via text and Instagram.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Brandon is very hands-on. If he doesn’t know something, he’ll say he doesn’t know; I admire that. He has a lot of awesome ideas and he’s very honest with me. Most people only tell you what you want to hear, not what you need to hear.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, what he’s doing for me is perfect.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Brandon will work with you and won’t sugar-coat anything.
