I'm the founder of Etymology Consulting which provides services to clients throughout the entire technology life cycle beginning at ideation through program management to outreach and education on the new technology.
For what projects/services did your company hire Pendragon Consulting, LLC?
We were looking for a vendor that could partner with us to build and manage our social media accounts for us, including graphic design, ghost writing, creating and managing the posting schedule across all channels to reports and analytics. Goal was to increase brand awareness for Etymology Consulting to increase engagement and have a seat at the table of the relevant conversations.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Reached out to my network, searched online, and followed some other companies that I liked their social media postings and started interviewing and having conversations. Ultimately chose Pendragon because they understood our voice, our brand, our mission and I felt like we could build a lasting partnership. They were also competitively priced which made it doable for a new business budget.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We worked with Pendragon to identify the social media channels, audiences, industries, etc. We then shared samples of our presentations, collateral, marketing, anything that could help them with our voice and message. They provided back initial post samples and we were really impressed with how well and quickly they had captured Etymology in a nutshell.
They then built out all the channels and scheduled everything. We were up and running in 1-2 weeks max. With each passing month, we have to revise less and less because they take the feedback we give them and apply to the next month of posts.

We worked with the founder and a couple graphic designers / ghostwriters.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our statistics have improved across the board! Our followers, total impressions, total reach, etc have all more than doubled. I have prospects that reach out to me on a regular basis because they said they have been following our posts and learning more by observing and now want to engage.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Extremely effective. We receive our posts for review once/twice per month and handle all communications over email or google drives. If we have a one-off request or a last-minute post because of events in the world we message our main contact and we get same day responses.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The partnership with the leadership. They are truly invested in the success of your company. They are happy to brainstorm the solution together to ensure that the social media message reflects what's needed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I only wish they could do personal social media management! They focus solely on companies and organizations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pendragon Consulting, LLC?
We mainly needed support in marketing. We also needed to reach out to people that we usually don’t reach out to.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Pendragon has built our website from scratch. They’ve made the website more accessible to the public so it would come up with the keywords they set up. They write blogs for us and upload them onto the website. They’ve also helped us with SEO and to widen our public base.
To start the project, we gave them a list of words that we thought would help, and they came up with even more.

I knew Jessica back in the UK. I knew she was now in the US and that she was doing this. She approached us, and I trusted her to look after our site, rather than loads of people who would do half the job just for the money. On the other hand, I knew Jessica would do the whole job, so I was pretty lucky in that regard.

We started working with Pendragon in January 2020, and our relationship is ongoing.

The quality of their work shows in the growing number of people that look at our website each month. A year before, we wouldn’t have reached these customers.

Everything happens instantly; there’s no waiting around. Any time I get in touch with Jessica, she gets back to me straight away. We typically communicate through email.

Their customer service is probably their strength. If I ask for something to be done, it’s done the next day, and they do a great job.

I wouldn’t know how they could improve.

Prepare for the business because that’s what you’ll get. We pay them a monthly fee to get us more business and do all the stuff that we don’t have time to do, and the customers we get bring in up to 10 times over that fee, depending on what job it is. It’s a no-brainer.

I’m the CEO of AlgenAir. We developed a natural air purifier that uses algae to reduce carbon dioxide indoors.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pendragon Consulting, LLC?
We needed help with SEO.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Pendragon helps us with SEO and social media marketing. First, they assessed our current efforts and created a proposal. We decided that our initial focus would be social media, so the team has been posting twice a week on our Instagram. Specifically, they use relevant tags to optimize our posts.
We’ve since given them access to our blogs, too. We start by assigning them topics to write about, and they create a monthly schedule based on that and some of their ideas. They then conduct keyword research before proceeding to write articles. After we read through their drafts and approve them, they release the blogs to our site along with some images that we provide. Additionally, the Pendragon team creates press releases to increase our backlinks.

We work directly with Jessica (Founder). There are also other teammates working on the project, but I haven’t worked with them.

We interviewed five local companies, and we just connected with Pendragon more than the others.

The project started in March 2021, and it’s ongoing.

Since we started working with Pendragon, we’ve doubled our site traffic and improved our search rankings. When we started working with them, we only showed up in 5–10 keywords. Now, we’re in the top 50 search results for over 50 keywords, which is fantastic.
How did Pendragon Consulting, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
Pendragon is very efficient. After we approve their monthly content plans, they generate the content within a week, and we only have to go through 1–2 rounds of proofreading. The team then makes the adjustments within the day, and everything’s ready to post immediately.
In terms of communication, we use email and Zoom. The Pendragon team gives us monthly reports regarding their progress and analytics, and they suggest new methods to help us further optimize our site.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their enthusiasm has been a real highlight for me. The team has a lot of energy, and they always come up with new ideas for our content and different ways to approach marketing. At the same time, they’re really open to feedback.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, nothing comes to mind in terms of what they could do better. Pendragon has been really on top of things.

I’m the owner of EGA Process Serving. We serve court documents and we do private investigation work.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pendragon Consulting, LLC?
I was working with another marketing team before Pendragon Consulting, LLC, but they didn’t really do anything for me.
With COVID-19 and all the courts closing down, it shrunk all my business. It left me with nothing. I let my employees go and I wasn’t sure whether to keep my doors open. With a little bit of money I have left, I hired Pendragon Consulting, LLC to revamp my website and develop my whole business strategy.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They are revamping my website and creating a new one, making sure it is configured properly to get people to interact with it more. In addition, the team strategizes on where to place our ads while also providing copywriting services to increase interaction in our platform. They create blogs and we publish at least once a week.
The team also told me about SEO and how my website was not marketed well in Google. In relation to that, they shared how listing keywords for Google Ads could help my company attract an influx of people to use my services. As such, we have ongoing keyword optimization efforts. We also tried Facebook marketing but, in the end, it didn't really work out.

When I invested $100 in Google Ads, I was able to increase my business through that, making around $400 off of that investment. The next month after that, when I invested $200, I made $800 in profits from that. In summary, my profit has increased continuously. It’s been great.

They like to help me with the changes I need to do. If I have a question, I could call their specialist anytime. Whichever specialist they give me, I work with that person the whole way through.
At any given point, I can reach them right away because they are hosting my website. Whenever I notice any glitch on my website, they take care of it right away.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re a great company to work with. I’m excited about working with them on my profit margin. They’re just consistently trying to change things and they’re keeping to the budget that I want. Other companies try to tack on extra money, but Pendragon Consulting asks what I’m comfortable with and never upsells me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t know what they could be doing better in the industry, but I’m just so ecstatic about what they’re doing right now for me.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make the first call to get the feel of who they are. Sometimes, they might speak above your skill level, but if you ask them to break it down for you, they’ll break it down. I was also not very familiar with Google Ads, blogs, and everything else—but they will explain things to you so that you can feel comfortable with it. Don’t be scared to ask them to break it down for you.

We have run many campaigns with Pendragon. They always review the goals of the program, learn our market, and build quality outcomes. Over time we have found things change and Pendragon has been good at adjusting quickly to keep the quality strong.
