Please describe your company and your position there.

Superior Industries designs and manufactures equipment for the mining industry worldwide. I lead the company in South America since 2015, where we have 3 locations and 200 employees.

For what projects/services did your company hire Peak?

We needed to develop a user interface for our new IoT platform. The mining industry is very conservative and the IoT challenges they face are not related to technology capabilities (which already fulfill their need) but instead come from slow adoption of new technologies.

As such, we needed our UX/UI (web and mobile) to be especially effective and engaging.

How did you select this Peak?

Erich and the PeakStudio team came highly recommended from one of the best cloud software architects in Brazil.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Erich and his team dove into the mining industry to understand the customer. They visited our factory to understand the product. Conducted numerous interviews with our team to understand where the technology was going to be in the future.

When the first UX/UI mock-ups were presented, the adherence to our need was absolute.

How many resources from the Peak team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our development team worked directly with Erich Favali and 2 of his designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Every time we present the system to a customer we hear: "Wow!" Sure, the technology is transformative for the industry, but what causes the emotional response we see is surely the UX/UI. Even competitors, when they see our system at trade shows, say: "Our system doesn't look as nice as yours, but it does the same things..."

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team at Peak does an incredible job at balancing flexibility with discipline. Every time we asked for a shortcut that would fulfill an immediate need, they found a way to respond timely with a solution that aligned with the long term direction of the platform.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

You will find many people who can operate Sketch,. Figma, Photoshop, etc. But knowing how to operate a tool does not make a talented person. I know how to use a hammer and chisel, but I can't sculpt a David like Michelangelo. Erich is a Michelangelo.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Absolutely no regrets. Erich and his team will be with us through the life of this (evergreen) project.

I'm the Founder and CEO of a new plant-based restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil.

For what projects/services did your company hire Peak?

Peak designed a new e-commerce platform from scratch. They supported our business by delivering an efficient and clean design for web/mobile and App.

How did you select this vendor?

Myself went to different vendors and I missed to identify a vendor that could bring "something more" to the project in design thinking and customer interface. All vendors that came to me were lacking a "more fluid" user interface and a clean and beautiful design.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Peak presented firstly a benchmark to our product and e-commerce platform. Later when we identified our position in relation to the market and our differentiation, Peak started to organize the user flows, having attention to details and prioritizing easiness.

In a different stage, Peak introduced us with wireframes, transforming ideas, discussions and flows in something "tangible" for our understanding. In the last stage Peak "presented" us with all the screens - very rich in colours, details and still very clean for the user.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is very ambitious. We want to create a community of customers through a subscription mode for plant-based fresh food, with daily deliveries - We want to help the world to be more sustainable and still have our customers healthier and happier. On this sense Peak suceeded designing a new compelling e-commerce to our customers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were open to discussion most of the time and our conversations flowed pretty well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their UX/UI skills and special touch to let the things efficient, detailed and yet clean. The screens presented to us were impressive and we liked the final result very much.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing to report.
