I am the marketing manager for an editorial events team within the country's largest media company.

For what projects/services did your company hire PB Web Development?

I had PB Web Development create and manage a number of event websites.

What were your goals for this project?

To showcase the event, provide details for the event and to facilitate the registration process.

I was given their name as a recommendation.

They created the template for the events websites that we were able to then customise per event. They have since created and managed 3 websites for me as well as assisted in managing two other websites that were more complicated to maintain and PB Web Development did this with ease.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

All sites performed really well and did exactly what we had hoped they would.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

All the changes etc were managed via Bitbucket and the team were outstanding in ensuring the edits or amendments were made in a timely and organised manner.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I liked that we were able to maintain the relationship with the same people across all the sites we built.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No I couldn't fault how reliable they were and the help they provided us was amazing.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the senior digital marketing manager at Fairfax Events. The company has partnered with key stakeholders to deliver world-class, mass participation experiences, providing significant social and economic impact on local communities. We have over 50 events reaching over 13.2 million Australians annually. I’m responsible for the digital and marketing strategy across all five event verticals.

For what projects/services did your company hire PB Web Development?

We needed to rebuild our website for the Good Food Month events.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We made an RFP in which all interested organizations had to submit the information we requested of them.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

They created a robust, mobile-first, future-facing website. PB Web Development also overhauled the UI/UX and developed the site according to digital marketing best practices. Furthermore, they increased its data tracking and analytics capabilities while implementing an improved search and filtering system using AJAX/JavaScript.

What was the team composition?

We mostly interacted with Peter (Co-Director, PB Web Development) and two frontend developers. This team has been consistent across the various other projects we've had.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We now have a fresh look and feel for the brand, as well as a better UX and an improved ability to showcase events. We also have better SEO and have seen an increase in traffic by 15% after launching the new website.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had an internal project manager for the first project, but as we've continued working with Peter, we have gotten into a structure where he manages the tech team and my team manages the internal stakeholders. Peter is excellent at management and has such a wonderful attitude!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

PB Web Development is extremely responsive and will work with clients to achieve their goals. They also provide guidance and solutions for any issues that arise and will stick to deadlines.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

All is good. I had no issues with them and will continue to use their services for any future external website builds.
