I’m the director of Spare Care, a spare parts company that plans and audits the spare parts of automobiles.
What challenge were you trying to address with Paramount Infosystem Pvt Ltd?
We had a lot of mismanagement on the preplanning side. We also needed help with software development to solve the problem.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team supported us in creating a software product that we still use. The first part we worked on was the parts audit module. With our business, there are warehouses of spare parts. We carry out the physical audits of the warehouse. As of now, this industry wasn’t that mature in terms of proficiency.
We created a platform wherein we’re using barcode scanners to carry out the audit. This was back in 2014. That was one of the modules we started our solution with Paramount Infosystem.
Gradually, we also added an inventory planning part module. That started with basic data points wherein the ordering was done through an approval mechanism. This platform allowed auto dealerships to do inventory planning and have the approval mechanism before placing the order to their supplier.
What we’ve also added is a parts’ performance analysis reports for phase two. Phase three of the platform is we’re exchanging materials between our customers. There are physical transactions happening on the platform. One person is selling the parts to my other customers. The product is now the operating system wherein our entire customer base is using.
What is the team composition?
Every module had a specific person assigned as a project manager. In total, there were 3-4 people.
How did you come to work with Paramount Infosystem Pvt Ltd?
I come from an OEM background. We wanted to have the best performance. Initially, we used someone else who was recommended to us.
I found Paramount Infosystem to be quite committed and also gave good feedback. They had good expertise to bring our requirements.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between 15–17 lakhs (approximately $1,800-$2,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement with them started in January 2016.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still working with them because we get what we want from them. The product we’re using is quite complicated. Their team continues to help us create more functions. I can’t quantify the exact impact, but they meet our need for productivity and efficiency.
How did Paramount Infosystem Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re highly satisfied with project management. While they don’t belong to my company, I consider them my second partners. We have a lot of requirements that span multiple areas. We also have one point of contact, which is helpful. They’re totally what I need.
Their team can deliver in good time. We exchange our requirements and proposals through email. Once that’s decided on and approved, we have a WhatsApp group with our team members and their team members. We also have strong communication on WhatsApp and a Google Sheet where all stakeholders are given access.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I have my requirements, and they’re able to customize the product per my need. They’re available, and it’s easy to reach them. I can just pick up a phone and reach out to the owner of the company.
There aren’t any layers of interaction that are required to solve a problem. They’re accessible. They also deliver what’s required.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If I had to point out something for them to improve, I’d say they could improve on delivering on the desired time that was forecasted earlier.
I wouldn’t blame them for the delays, though, because we have our requirements very flexible, and they keep on changing as the project proceeds. They could just be a little more disciplined if the demands are static.

Reach out to them. They have the expertise to bring your requirements. They’ll come up with a solution or suggestion for what you need.

I’m an IT expert at a German organization. It’s bilateral trade between India’s and Germany’s governments.
What challenge were you trying to address with Paramount Infosystem Pvt Ltd?
We had a tracking system project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Paramount Infosystem did custom software development for a tracking system. It had two types of media tracking for employees’ status. It allowed users to apply for a leave of absence or give an online request to purchase anything they wanted.
They suggested implementing everything on Darknet.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three people. I knew Anup (Head of IT), the owner. The others were senior programmers.
How did you come to work with Paramount Infosystem Pvt Ltd?
We found them through a reference. One of our colleagues was working with them at a previous company. He recommended Paramount Infosystem, and then we started working with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We gave them 3–4 short-term contracts to develop one module according to our requirements. The amount for the contracts came to approximately $22,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January 2014–May 2019. The custom software took time to develop, and they offered maintenance from time to time.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Anup and his engineers were very fast at implementing and good at planning. I was quite happy with their work. The project was successful, and they were very helpful in implementing the targets.

It was a mix and match. They took two modules of the project management, and we managed the rest. Overall, they did an excellent job.
We used Microsoft extensively and implemented some Excel sheets. Typically, communication was via emails and phone calls. Later on, we started using WhatsApp.

They were quick at reacting. If there was some bug or need for improvement, they acted quickly and tried to solve it as soon as possible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could improve their documentation on software, technical documents, user manuals, and so on.
Any advice for potential customers?
You don't have to do much; they put a lot of effort into the engagement.
