GetClean is an Uber-like service but in the context of housekeeping. We developed a software system that allows the company to manage orders, company’s resources, collect statistics and reduce paperwork. Thanks to the web system, GetClean optimized various business processes.

We created a full-scale web application for managing customer orders,  company's resources,

collecting statistics, and reducing paperwork.

The website Getclean.by was developed using React.JS. This is our primary technology for creating complex web applications. The admin panel was built using PHP with a Yii2 framework.

 

Results and prospects

The money and man-hours invested in GetClean gave (and continue giving now) a great return. The service gets even more popular in Minsk, and its creators have plans to expand their business to other cities as well.

Besides that, we have plans to increase the project’s automation level in the future. Thanks to the flexibility of React.JS “groundwork”, it’s also possible to create a mobile app based on the same platform.

We needed to build a complex tech solution that would enable users to perform rapid electrocardiography (ECG) at home. While we created a medical device to record the user’s ECG, we tasked BLAKIT with developing the Android app, server, and admin panel. 

What were your goals for this project? 

The key project goal was to launch a technological solution that would allow people to quickly perform ECGs at home, view the results, and share them with doctors. This would help users to detect and prevent cardiovascular diseases on time without going to the hospital. Because we had to demonstrate the app to our partners and investors, quality was the highest priority.

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for a software development provider that could help us launch our medical startup when we heard about BLAKIT. They had several good referrals, and their team was experienced in building MVPs, so we connected with them. 

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail. 

BLAKIT delivered a complex project that consisted of an Android app, an API, a server, and an admin control panel. For the first week, we discussed the requirements together, and they wrote out the technical specification. Their team then estimated the scope of work, dividing the process into sprints before moving on to development.

Within two months, they provided 400 hours of work and delivered a solution that enables people to manage their ECG results. Users can use the app to create a personal account, connect with our medical device via Bluetooth to perform ECGs, view their data and statistics, and more. The app also allows for cardiogram data analysis; it visualizes ECG results in real time and even suggests some potential diagnoses.

Currently, we’re improving our device’s accuracy and are developing the business part of our project. As soon as we complete our planned activities, we’ll continue to further develop our product with BLAKIT.

We’ve worked with five specialists, including a project manager, an Android developer, front- and backend developers, and a QA engineer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We’ve received a quality MVP that we could demonstrate to our partners and investors. Now, we’re focusing on improving our medical device and have to think through marketing tactics. We plan to re-engage BLAKIT for additional development once we’re ready.  

How was project management arranged and how effective was it? 

BLAKIT is great at setting a clear project vision and managing the workflow. We could contact them and check out the tasks and estimations anytime if needed. They used Agile Kanban to optimize the development process as well as Slack and Skype to ensure transparent communication. 

What did you find most impressive about this company? 

BLAKIT has been strongly involved in the project, making consistent meaningful recommendations. If there are better ways to implement the app, they let us know. For instance, we needed to quickly get out a working product to show our investors, so they suggested using standard components to design the solution instead of doing custom designs. As a result, they created an MVP faster than planned and at a lower price.

I was also impressed by their willingness to work extra hours to achieve our goals in the best possible way. Since we needed to launch our startup in two months, they worked 50-hour weeks to meet our difficult deadline.

Are there any areas for improvement? 

I can’t say anything at the moment. Everything has been great.

What were your goals for this project?

Our objective was to implement a social network that would allow users to visit different events together, share photos, and create chats. The system had to consist of a web part and Android/iOS mobile apps, but BLAKLIT was not responsible for the iOS development.

Our companies’ founders have known each other for a long time, so we knew that BLAKIT was a reliable IT service vendor. They actually supported us when we developed our proprietary product called Multy, a multi-cryptocurrency open-source wallet. Since we were already comfortable working with their team, they were a natural choice for this project.

The project involved a complex social network that included a server, content management admin panel, and an Android app with a corresponding API. The client already had the idea, product design, and marketing strategy in place but needed us to handle the programming. We divided the project into smaller sprints to optimize the work process.

The entire social network development took almost three months. BLAKIT built the web server using AWS, PHP 7, and a Yii framework. They used React.js to make the admin panel, Kotlin for the Android app, and Swift for the iOS app.

They assigned a team of two Android developers, one backend developer, and one frontend developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Due to our NDA with our client, we can’t share too many project specifics, however, we’ve received an Android app, a server part, and a content management admin panel. The app is now live on Google Play, and users have responded positively, giving high ratings. Based on that feedback, we plan to make some changes to the technical specs and continue working on the solution.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was a pleasure to work with BLAKIT. We used a scrum methodology and held status meetings every day. They established a great support system to ensure transparent communication, answering our questions even after hours. The team also overcame unexpected challenges. For example, our client had to present the project to a potential investor before release, which increased the scope of work and pushed the deadline up. BLAKIT worked overtime to compile the build and delivered the product on schedule.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Professionalism, implementation speed, and friendly communication are all characteristics of BLAKIT. It’s easy to discuss ideas with them, and they’re heavily involved in projects. We broke our project into distinct parts for the server side, frontend, and admin panel development. They programmed server scripts, API methods, and a massive database infrastructure. It includes third-party integrations for services like MailChimp, Plivo, and Google Analytics. The entire platform is hosted in the cloud. 

BLAKIT implemented the iOS version of our app using Swift. They wrote the Android app on Kotlin. The team designed the UI/UX and animation, as well. They created perfect HTML layouts for the landing pages. Background tasks work seamlessly in conjunction with the frontend’s functionality.

Thanks to BLAKIT’s marketing efforts, we now have more than 10,000 active users on Android and almost the same number on iOS. The team has stayed onboard to support the system’s security and ensure the server and frontend remain stable.
