Web Development for Networking Satartup Company
''Their communication and flexibility throughout the process have been outstanding.''

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of BEPRO, a networking startup company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Outcrowd?
We needed help with website development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Outcrowd is designing our website on Figma and implementing it in Webflow. They’ve also made the logo and design of our brand, including its language and guidelines. To jumpstart the project, we gave them a brief of what we wanted regarding the site’s look and feel. Their team also provided templates and examples to make the platform look more professional.
In terms of functionalities, we want visitors to be able to leave their contact information, download assets, and reach our social media channels.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with a project manager, a developer, and two designers.
How did you come to work with Outcrowd?
They were referred to us by one of my co-founders. We also chose them because we found out that they were a Ukrainian company, so we wanted to support them through this Russian invasion.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent around $15,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re satisfied with their work so far. They’ve also been able to make several changes to our branding — there’s a lot of back and forth iteration between branding and the implementation stages. Overall, we like what they’ve done for us.
How did Outcrowd perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management has been going pretty well; they’ve been very timely in coming back to us with updates, suggestions, responses, and feedback to our requests. Regarding communication, we use Telegram.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication and flexibility throughout the process have been outstanding. They understand that dynamics change when they work with a startup, and Outcrowd’s team can adapt.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The initial sketches for the website were a little simplistic, but after different rounds of iterations, we arrived at a logo and design that we were happy with.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very specific with your timeline and needs with the initial briefs they give to fill out. The more information you provide them, the better.

UI/UX Design for Social Media Suite Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Plann, a social media productivity tool.
What challenge were you trying to address with Outcrowd?
We only had 15–20 people in our team, so we were quite small. We didn’t think it made sense to have a full-time UI /UX designer on our team. As a result, we hired Outcrowd to become an extension of our design team.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Outcrowd communicates with our internal design team about their daily tasks. They’re usually responsible for helping us build features that can further optimize what we’re doing. We also ask them to come up with different solutions that our users will like. At this time, we have two full-time designers from their team.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with Alex (Project Manager) and two designers.
How did you come to work with Outcrowd?
I fell in love with their thoughtful and minimal approach to design. I initially thought that their services were completely out of my budget, but when I reached out to them, I found out that their prices were super reasonable. Due to that, I decided to work with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in August 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
People choose our product because of the way it looks and feels, and we’ll continue working with Outcrowd as long as our customers like their design work. We also appreciate that they take the time to understand our product, which allows them to come back with cool ideas.
How did Outcrowd perform from a project management standpoint?
The team is proactive. We use Slack to communicate, and we utilize Figma for the design files.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Since they spend a lot of time understanding our product, they always provide effective solutions without having to undergo lengthy feedback sessions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Perhaps, this is just me, but sometimes I’m not sure what work they’ve completed, so sometimes I reach out to them and ask them if I need to check on anything. However, I can probably find it myself if I just take a look.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them the time to learn about your product because if you’re building a software product, you want a company that can work with you on a long-term basis. If you invest in Outcrowd upfront, you’ll definitely get value from their services.

I’m the CEO of a company called Dotcal, and we own a scheduling platform. We help people book meetings and schedule appointments easier with custom personal booking pages.
What challenge were you trying to address with Outcrowd?
We needed the help of a design agency to help us execute our vision for our product.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially hired Outcrowd for UI/UX development, which then evolved into also providing us with branding and general design services. At the start of the partnership, they helped us determine user personas and figure out where our company fits in the competitive landscape.
As for the tech stack, they use Figma and Miro as their primary design and whiteboarding tools.
What is the team composition?
We work with a business manager, a product manager, and designers.
How did you come to work with Outcrowd?
We were looking for design agencies to help us with our projects, and Outcrowd was the obvious choice in the end because of their extensive portfolio and experience.
How much have you invested with them?
So far we’ve spent around $32,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in September 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Outcrowd is very open to feedback and they do a good job of delivering designs quickly.
How did Outcrowd perform from a project management standpoint?
Outcrowd does well from a project management standpoint, as they meet and exceed all their deadlines. We used to communicate with them through email at the beginning, but now we mostly talk to them through Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed with the value of the work they provide, and it’s very hard to compete with them in that perspective. They’re professionals who do what they say, and sometimes do it even better than we expect them to.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any feedback at the moment because so far, we’ve had a really good experience working together.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to just be very clear with your vision upfront and over-communicate what you want to achieve.

the reviewer

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of Nexus, a digital business card application that helps business professionals improve their networking efficiency
For what projects/services did your company hire Outcrowd?
Outcrowd designed our logo, website, our mobile app interface, as well as animated promotional videos. One of our main goals when working with Outcrowd was to ensure the UI/UX of both our website and app was well-designed and easy to use, which they definitely accomplished.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked for various design agencies and contacted them all to get quotes and time estimates for the project. We decided on Outcrowd not only because they were affordable, but their design was best in class and we felt they provided the most value by far. They were also very responsive and took the time to research and get an in-depth understanding of our project and what our goals were.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We had a few meetings with their team to get an overall understanding of the project, from there they were able to provide moodboards and other website/app examples that we could choose from to use as inspiration. From there, we worked closely together on Slack as developments were made, and we could monitor the progress each day through Figma. Seeing the updates at the end of each day allowed us to immediately provide feedback and help shape the project as time went on, which was extremely helpful.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We mostly worked directly with our project manager, but there were several designers and animators that helped on our project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We received tons of positive feedback on our website and app design and were able to significantly increase our userbase and engagement from what our previous design was.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The project manager was extremely responsive through Slack, we could reach her mostly any time of the day and the designers were very quick to implement any suggestions/changes we proposed. All of the deadlines were met.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was mostly impressed by how affordable everything was, considering the quality and their level of professionalism. Several other agencies, that weren't as high of quality, gave us quotes that were 50-100%+ higher than what Outcrowd gave us.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I honestly do not have any suggestions, everything was very smooth and we were extremely happy with the outcome.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a Head of Business Development.
For what projects/services did your company hire Outcrowd?
We needed a new modern website to represent ourselves on the market.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We started a new marketing milestone in our company. Our main goal was to build a higher trust with clients through the new website, discover new opportunities in conversions on the website and generate more leads. Make the website as main communication and sale platform.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
I want to admit their level of communication and work was impressive. Everything started with two calls with their Business Development Manager - Vlad. He asked a lot of questions about the project, our goals, our strategy and marketing. We shared all the details about our vision, the structure of the future website, what we like and what don't.
In a day or two, Vlad shared a very detailed estimation document with a price proposal, we discussed it, made small changes, signed it and the work started. In two days, Vlad introduced us to Outcrowd's Project Manager - Alexandra and Vlada a UX/UI designer for our project, later a motion designer joined the team. Alexandra led the whole design process from start till end this was an amazing experience.
They started with deep researches of the market, our potential clients, competitors, presented the vision of the future website in mood boards. The next stage was the wireframes and structure of the website. We approved them and their team continued with the UI part. Later we have suggested 3 different variants. We chose one and the whole website was created in that style.
During the process, they asked us about motion design on the website, we liked that suggestion and add it to the scope of work. We communicated with the Outcrowd team pretty often, we always knew what is happening on the project, we receive many suggestions about design. Now we are on the development stage with Outcrowd.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were 3 team members on the project at the design stage. A Project Manager Alexandra, one UX/UI designer and a motion designer. Now, on the development stage, we are working with a Project Manager and 2 developers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
From the first contact, we were so excited about working with Outcrowd. They exceeded our expectations and we continue working with them.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Working with their team is a pure pleasure. Easy communication, frequent updates on the project. Full understanding of our goals and meeting the deadlines.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I'm impressed with their overall approach to the project. Deep research and analysis, excellent design skills and creativity, attention to details and quality are top-notch.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I even have no idea. They are working on 110%.

UI/UX & 3D Design for Pharmaceutical SaaS Company
“They’re professional and they make sure their customers are happy. That’s why we keep coming back to them.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of DailyTask, a SaaS company that specializes in pharmacy training. We develop software and educational content for pharmacists in Australia.
What challenge were you trying to address with Outcrowd?
Outcrowd designs the UI/UX for our products. Lately, they’ve been focusing more on 3D design as well.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We start working with them from the inception of the project. First, we usually do some online research to inspire the design and give them ideas. Then we provide a color set based on our client’s brand and describe what we want the product to look like. Then they start sketching.
What is the team composition?
We usually work with 3–4 people, and the team consists of a couple of designers, a product manager, and a business developer.
How did you come to work with Outcrowd?
I found them on Dribbble, reviewed their portfolio, and was able to contact them directly. We’ve worked with several different agencies, but Outcrowd stood out because they are professional, reply quickly, and get the job done.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $25,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them around June 2019 and we’re still working with them. By now, we’ve been working with them for about two years.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our client’s love their work. They consistently deliver final products as promised. Of course, we’ve had to tweak a few things, but they’ve always been happy to make those changes.
They’re professional and they make sure their customers are happy. That’s why we keep coming back to them.
How did Outcrowd perform from a project management standpoint?
Before we even start a new project, we discuss what we expect and they provide a clear timeline.
They communicate very clearly and provide daily updates so I know what they’re doing at all times. To manage the project, they use Wrike.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very cost-effective. Whether we’re working on a project for a startup or a large enterprise, I know that I’ll get high-quality design work without blowing my budget.
They’ve also been very flexible to changing requirements. For example, if we start working on a small project, they’re willing to scale it up when needed, but they’re also able to accommodate tight budgets.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’ve been very happy with their work so far, but it would be great if they expanded their 3D design services. It’s a growing field, and it would be awesome if we could experiment more. That being said, we haven’t asked them to try new things.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Generally, you need to have an end goal in mind. Otherwise, you’ll end up blowing your budget and your clients won’t be happy.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of BabyWise, an online marketplace that connects new parents to baby care experts. We use a comprehensive organization algorithm to connect parents to the type of advice that works for them.
What challenge were you trying to address with Outcrowd?
We needed help with UI/UX design and motion graphics.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We hired them for two projects. The first project was for the UI/UX design of our platform. It was quite comprehensive and we worked on it for a couple of months. The second project was for our demo video’s motion graphics. They mainly used Figma, but they also created a lot of things in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
What is the team composition?
Eight people from Outcrowd worked with us, including two project managers, UX/UI designers, a customer success manager, illustrators, and a motion graphic designer.
How did you come to work with Outcrowd?
I looked through many companies, and I found Outcrowd on Dribble. When it came to UX design, I wanted to look for a company that could match our expectations in terms of aesthetics and general style.
After talking to Outcrowd, I realized that they would be a good partner because they were engaged and seem to have a lot of inputs. I also liked the fact that they could communicate well in English, and they were better than other companies I was talking to. Overall, the abovementioned factors made me choose them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $13,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership ran from March–August 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They produced outstanding work, and they were professional. We were able to do our pre-launch because of them. Since we didn’t test all of the designs with our user group and tester group yet, we wouldn’t be able to share the official results or metrics about their work. However, the feedback we received had been very positive. More importantly, we were able to attract funds by showcasing the prototype designs they made. Overall, the design they made was supreme which set the bar really high.
How did Outcrowd perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager delivered excellently; she always kept us in the loop about what was happening in our project, and she made sure everyone stayed on track with her incredible organization skills. On top of that, our project manager ensured we had clear communication.
We had a great experience with Outcrowd from the get-go, and we were able to ask them to change things along the way. Additionally, the team responded to emails quickly, and they were able to pursue us that they knew what they were doing. Though we had some hiccups here and there, our response to their design was very subjective. We knew that even if one person didn’t like our design, it didn’t mean that everyone wouldn’t like it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of their work was great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their prices were a little steep but we received what we wanted. They were very strict with their prices because they worked at an hourly rate. When we had meetings regarding strategic decisions, those hours also add up on our bill. However, their price would not prevent me from working with them again or recommending them to other people.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know what you want so you don’t spend too much time on R&D with them. Don’t be afraid to give them feedback because they’re professionals. On top of that, they can do a lot of back and forth with you, so that you can find common ground and agree on something. They’re really professional and know what they’re doing.

UI/UX Design & Brand Strategy for Mobile Educational Product
“Their suite of full design capabilities is second to none.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of a Spanish language learning app.
What challenge were you trying to address with Outcrowd?
We had an established brand that was in the app store for 8–9 years. The product has grown to the point where we have over 1 million users. We were looking to expand the platform. We wanted to develop a more modern brand and differentiate ourselves in the marketplace.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First Outcrowd did an extensive review of our app and landing pages. Then, they presented various options we could select in building out our brand strategy.
From there, they did a series of storyboards to nail down the tone of our brand. That included the color scheme, logo design, and tone. Once I approved the storyboard, they did the wireframes for our app. Then, they built a new UI/UX for our app.
They also created a brand style guide and redesigned our website. Additionally, they did video animations for our music videos. The team used Figma, Photoshop Illustrator, and the Creative Cloud suite.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a project manager, a lead designer, an illustrator, a UX designer, and a part-time video animator.
How did you come to work with Outcrowd?
I tried to find the most creative full-stack design agency based on portfolios. I interviewed several organizations. I wanted a design firm that I could view as a strategic partner. Outcrowd seemed like the best fit compared to the other options.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $25,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We kicked off our partnership in January 2021, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t launched yet, so I don’t have any metrics to share. That being said, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive in our design reviews so far.
How did Outcrowd perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very good with project management. We used tools like Slack, Wrike, and Google Hangouts to manage the project. Out of five stars, they’d be a five out of five for sure.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their suite of full design capabilities is second to none. It’s very difficult to find high levels of expertise in all areas of design such as strategy, UI/UX, illustration, and animation; Outcrowd offers it all.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t have any notes on how they could improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
For US clients considering working with design agencies based in Europe, don’t be afraid to bring in a leading agency like Outcrowd; they’ll actually give you a stronger viewpoint on the international perspective of your brand. We never had any issues with the time zone or communication. Their perspective made the product better than I could’ve imagined.
