I’m the business development director for Groomers, a health and fitness platform.
What challenges were you trying to address with Oryx Media?
We were looking to invite vendors to our platform so that they could do business there. We were also looking to attract service seekers to come to the platform. Hence, we decided to implement a plan for this, and Oryx Media helped us communicate to our target audience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oryx Media helped us create an animated video to communicate with vendors and service seekers. The video was done inside their studio. Additionally, their team assisted us in making ad campaigns and content for our website.
What was the team composition?
I worked directly with two people from their company, but I believe they had other people working behind the scenes.

We really liked the results of our engagement – Oryx Media delivered exactly what we expected. We are still in the process of evaluating the response of our audience, so we can’t share any specific metrics yet.

They always met our deadlines and respected the budget. Moreover, they were very responsive to our messages. We communicated mostly via phone calls and email.

I can’t think of anything that Oryx Media could’ve improved on.

Make sure to conceptualize your ideas properly. We shared our own ideas at the beginning of the project, but I think we could’ve conducted this process in a better way.

I’m an executive at a real estate company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oryx Media?
We wanted to create video tutorials to help our end users navigate through our system. We also wanted to describe our new policies and the new system changes we’ve implemented through an animated video.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oryx Media produced animated videos for us. Initially, we gave them a high-level overview of what we wanted to achieve. They then requested that we share the script of what was required to be communicated in the videos they would be creating for us. From there, they proceeded with the work, creating the first video based on the script we provided. They did it correctly the first time, and there were no major changes necessary. We just had some minor adjustments that we made to the script later on.
The other part of our project involved doing a video tutorial on how to navigate through the screens of our system. We showed them the system and shared the video recordings, which they used as a basis to create the video and implement the animations.
What is the team composition?
I was mainly in contact with their creative director. Whenever I escalated any issues, I was in touch with their CEO.
How did you come to work with Oryx Media?
Oryx Media was recommended to us by a colleague. We interviewed about four or five companies, but we ended up going with their team because they were within our budget, and we liked how simple, nice, and user-friendly their samples were.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Oryx Media from June–November 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
With the size of the project, we think Oryx Media did a good job. When we launched the videos internally, we received very good and positive feedback. Many of the internal end users liked the videos and the way the tutorials were done. We believe the script made a big difference as well because the message was clear and received well by the end users.
How did Oryx Media perform from a project management standpoint?
The only concern we had was the delay in production. Apart from that, they were flexible to any changes, and they proposed good ideas to us when it came to animation. We used email for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Many internal users asked us who created the videos for us, and we consider that to be another sign of success.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were some challenges when it came to the timelines, and there were some delays in the production of the videos. I was personally following up with them, and in the end, they did deliver, but there were some delays in production due to some personal reasons from one of their team members. I understood and respected those reasons, but at the end of the day, we still wanted to have everything delivered on time.

Make sure to monitor the project timelines.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a consultant at an engineering and consulting firm for renewable and eco-friendly products and technologies focused on energy and water generation and conservation.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oryx Media?
We were participating in an event exhibiting our products, and we wanted to create banners and design a space for our stand.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oryx Media created banners showcasing our products for our stand, which was two meters tall and 16 meters wide. We explained our products and goals and provided some sample designs to help them understand where we were coming from.
We required that the designs be in line with the company goals to spread awareness. Other requirements included a not too cluttered design with a clear message that caught the eye of passersby and that was readable in five seconds. Oryx Media also integrated their own design ideas.
One of the banners they created was for our atmospheric water generator that produces water from the air. They presented the designs, and we had five rounds of revisions. After approval, Oryx Media printed the banners and put them up on our stand.

We worked with two people, and they brought in two more teammates to put up the banners. In total, four people from Oryx Media were involved in our project.

The team did everything on time; they had to stay until 3 a.m. to install the stand, and they finished the setup before the event started. We communicated via phone, email, and WhatsApp.

Since they’re new, they need to gain more experience, and their designs could be more creative. They’re working hard to improve, though.

I’m the owner of The Pet Spa, which is based in Dubai. We sell different kinds of animals as well as pet food, accessories, toys, and other equipment. We also provide grooming and vaccination services.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oryx Media?
We were handling our social media and creating promotional material on our own but we realized that we needed a more professional look across all of our platforms. We hired Oryx Media for their social media management and graphic design services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Before we formally started the engagement, we underwent a trial period with Oryx Media. It was during that time that they tried to understand what we wanted to achieve. They created 3–5 posts that our clients responded really well to, so we decided to move forward with the partnership.
We now rely on them to bring new ideas and a broader perspective when it comes to current market trends. They handle our Facebook and Instagram accounts, and they produce the posters and photographs that we use for advertising, product launches, and promotional events. It’s been amazing so far. Though I don’t have the exact figures, we’ve seen really good customer interaction online and the monthly reports from Google show us that a good number of people have searched for our shop. In the beginning, I couldn’t understand why they advised me to use certain words over others, but now I see that it has all been to make sure we’re getting found online.
I’m honestly very satisfied with their services. It’s highly personalized. I like that we’re able to work directly with the owners, whereas other companies would simply hand their clients over to other delegates. When we first started, I didn’t think that they would be able to pull it off, but they’ve since exceeded my expectations.
How did Oryx Media perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very easy to work with. I never have to remind them to do anything; they know when they’re supposed to post on our social media pages, and they stick to their committed number of posts per week.
Their pricing structure is quite good as well. Everything is well-documented, which in turn has made for accurate invoicing. We typically communicate via WhatsApp.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Unlike the other companies that I’ve worked with, Oryx Media has maintained the quality of their work throughout our engagement. I’m very impressed with their consistency.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s hard to point out anything major. Perhaps we could meet more frequently so that we can stay up to date on the project. On the content side of things, it would be good for them to be a bit more “out there” rather than playing it safe so we can capture our audience in a stronger way.

Oryx Media can give you what you need within the budget that you have, so it’s important to be clear and straightforward with your budget and expectations from the very beginning. Be transparent as well when it comes to how aggressive you want your marketing to be so that no one gets disappointed at the end of the day.

I’m the head of operations for Annakagroup, an immigration consultancy. We help people get second passports, primarly for Australia and European countries.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oryx Media?
We needed help with website development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oryx Media first developed our website, and they linked our WhatsApp and email APIs to it. Whenever a customer goes into our website and submits an application, the lead is automatically and randomly associated with one of our agents, which helps shorten the processing time and keeps things fair for all of our agents.
After Oryx Media developed our website, they helped us design our company’s image and branding, defining our color palette and designing our logo. Then, our engagement shifted to SEO and marketing services.
Oryx Media is currently helping us with our SEO efforts to appear on Google search results as the first provider when people search services related to our business. Additionally, they do a lot of marketing work for us. For example, they market our services through Facebook and Instagram ads and implement lead generation strategies.

We looked at multiple marketing agencies and interviewed many of them. Some of them were very good, but their approach was very artistic, and we were looking for something more conservative and business-appropriate. Oryx Media understood that we needed a corporate approach and offered to deliver a straightforward and easy-to-use website, more in line with what we were looking for.

We spend 30,000–35,000 UAE dirham (approximately $8,100–$9,500 USD) per month.

We started working together around June 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Instagram’s single-pay ads and the different marketing strategies implemented have helped us boost our overall lead generation, also increasing the quality of leads that come through.
Additionally, although the website development took them an extra 15 days, they delivered a great site with very minimal bugs or spelling errors. Overall, Oryx Media’s work is very creative and high-quality compared to other agencies.
How did Oryx Media perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of timelines, Oryx Media takes their time to execute their work, mainly because Salam is a bit perfectionist. For example, I sometimes need to call him more than once regarding a deliverable. However, they take their time to deliver quality work, which is why I continue working with them. We communicate via email, phone calls, and WhatsApp.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Oryx Media is really good at understanding what I want, so I don’t have to share a lot of information with them to get the job done. With other agencies, I had to spend multiple sessions sharing information and providing input just so that they could understand my vision. However, I only had one initial meeting with Oryx Media over a coffee, which was enough for them to start working on my project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if Oryx Media improved their timeliness. I know that being a perfectionist is one of Salam’s quirks, but it would be awesome if he could do his work faster. Otherwise, the quality of their work is great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Stay active on WhatsApp and keep in touch with Salam. He is very involved in the creative and technical side of things, so he’s the one who will help your project succeed.
The client got exactly what they expected, leaving them fully pleased with the engagement. Oryx Media worked very efficiently — in fact, they impressed the internal team with their speed in executing tasks and addressing sudden requests. The vendor also adhered to all deadlines and stayed on budget.
