Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and president of an express, modern car wash in Pennsylvania.

What challenge were you trying to address with Specific Pixel?

The company’s previous owner hadn’t done any advertising, digital or otherwise. We had overhauled the branding, so we wanted our website to reflect that change and to be more visible online.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us customize our WordPress site. We wanted the site to be simple, with straightforward navigation and information about our services. We also needed to clearly differentiate between what’s displayed on our site versus our physical property. In order to accomplish that, we incorporated a lot of videos and are in the process of launching a live feed. In addition to working on the site, they also collaborated with our management team to improve our SEO.

We worked with one member of their team.

How did you come to work with Specific Pixel?

They were referred to us, and it turned out that one of my employees knew their developer, Brandon Teller. I liked his previous work, and I trusted the recommendations, so we went with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

They worked with us from October 2017–March 2018. They also provide us with update support as needed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site’s been stable since the moment we launched it, and I have no complaints. We’ve seen an increase in customer traffic as a result, especially with out-of-town business. People are seeking us out because of the modern services we offer, and they’re learning about us online.

How did Specific Pixel perform from a project management standpoint?

I prefer to communicate by phone, and they were really accommodating about it. Anytime I had questions, they’d respond right away. If anything, I was slower at getting back to them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Brandon really thinks outside the box and comes up with innovative designs. He opened my eyes to the way a site should be laid out in order to appeal to customers. I really appreciated his suggestions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of. I’ve been so satisfied that I hired them to work with me on another project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them the basics of what you’re looking for, and let them return to you with ideas. They understand what’s attractive to customers and where to draw their attention.

I am co owner of a dog breeding and trading kennel.

For what projects/services did your company hire Original Pixel?

We did not currently have a website for our company. We hired Original Pixel to design and build our website

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After reviewing several companies from other companies suggestions, we decided on Original Pixel due to their previous expertise, cost of project and ease of communication with them.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We had several meetings via phone and Skype. We were shown several different layouts and were in constant contact throughout the whole website design.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked mostly with the owner/developer throughout the process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been receiving customers phone calls and emails since the website went active. This is our first time and we are very pleased with the results

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The owner/designer was in contact with regularly throughout the process. Very easy to reach out and receive answers to our questions. Suggestions were given throughout and were very helpful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their knowledge and suggestions to help us decide on the design of the website. Also, very patient and quick to respond to our many questions. Also, the work was done in a very timely fashion

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can’t think of any improvements. We were very impressed and delighted with the whole process.
