What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We watch the Google and App Store reviews in addition to tracking success through our analytics platform. That logs all activity within our app, so that’s what we’re using as our KPI. They’re always looking for opportunities to utilize the data that was available to us on the API to create new functionalities that would appeal to customers. That set them apart from competitors.
How did Orbitum Labs perform from a project management standpoint?
The main reason I’m able to hire them often is due to our small team. I don’t have time to micromanage the development of the app, so I appreciate their ability to do so. During the development cycles, we’d get a new version of our app weekly.
We had a singular point of contact through Slack that we were able to get in touch with them we had any questions about the development progress. Anything we needed only required a quick instant message back and forth. We never had to push them for anything.
Because of that, our contact has been able to function as an extended arm of the attention to detail and thoughtfulness that I want on my team. He’s easy to work with.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I don’t have to come up with every idea because they’re willing to contribute their suggestions to the project. Their guidance is informed by industry best practices, always taking a collaborative approach to development. We can count on honest feedback from them about the features and functionalities. They even come up with solutions to our problems.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Being organized with your overall objectives will give them a better background on your needs. That will provide them with the creative license to embellish your goal. They may think of concepts to add to your solution.
