A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the HR partner at Stelpro, an electronics manufacturing company. We build electrical heating products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oranje?
We wanted to work on our HR marketing image. Our goal was to retain more employees and have an offer that is more interesting. We hired Oranje for help with video creation.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had plans for an HR career video for our new website and a business video, but we postponed the HR video. We decided to do a quick 90-second video with the employees to explain what it's like working at our company.
We did some interviews with some employees; we wanted to show our plan and make it very human. We wanted to make sure our employees were in the video. Oranje did all the scripting, storyboarding, and editing of the video. We had some ideas on our side but sometimes they made recommendations and gave us some really good advice.
What is the team composition?
We met with one of the VPs initially and I spent two days with the camera-person. We worked with someone who wrote all the scripts and handled the storytelling. We worked with a project manager as well.
How did you come to work with Oranje?
One of our colleagues had worked with Oranje at a previous job. She was quite satisfied and recommended them. We looked at their website and it was very nice — the video on it was beautiful. We interviewed one other company but we were more comfortable with Oranje — it was like a professional crush.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together on this video from September-October 2020. Due to COVID-19, we postponed it quite a few times and when we decided to go with the quick video, it took less than a month for everything to be finished. We still have the HR video pending.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of work was perfect. We haven’t shared the video with the employees yet or posted it on Facebook or LinkedIn, but we’re really happy with their work. We have some really positive comments about how the project went.
How did Oranje perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a Zoom meeting to talk about what we wanted to do. We wanted to do three clips and had a really tight schedule, but everything went well. We communicated via back and forth emails. For the video, we looked it over and made comments for them to look at. We had a nice partnership with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’ve known them for a long time; they were very good at listening to what we need. Their team was casual and open-minded — they really listened to us. When they came back with a proposition, it was really what we wanted. If you want something funny or something more corporate, they can create it accordingly, they won't force anything on you.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We didn’t have any problems with them at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a small business in Quebec, they’re not a big company. Sometimes it's easier to work with a company that size because you get to speak with the VP and they'll make sure you're satisfied. The relationship will be more casual and intimate.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of Beonebreed, we design innovative pet products for well-being, comfort and fun.
For what projects/services did your company hire Oranje?
We decided to launch a product on kickstarter and since the video was the first impression you leave to customer we decided to hire production company. We went with Oranje
What were your goals for this project?
We had short delays and we also had the challenge to work with cats, this is not as easy as it seems because cats do what they want not what you necessary need. We needed a good structured video that will push people to buy.
How did you select this vendor?
We did few quotation and we decided to go with oranje as they understood our needs.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
We had few meetings about what we wanted so a proper quotation can be made. After that, we started to work on the scenario, ideas were submitted and we provided our comments. Once the scenario and the scene were selected, we had the video shoot. Week after we received the first shoot and first version that we amended to our needs.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
Good, I have no bad comments about the management.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Look at the kickstarter, it tells by itself. We were looking for 25k and finished with 200k
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had good communication daily and weekly with them. If something was urgent we simply call. All was on time and as scheduled.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They will make sure to fulfill all of your needs. We had quite new change to make and they all made them as we were asking.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Maybe on the video shooting organisation, we were not sure if we had all what was needed if all was ok before the team got here. Would be a nice touch to validate few days before.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of human resources at Gelpac, and we make flexible packaging to sell in bulk to businesses.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oranje?
We brought them on to help with a specific food training video for our employees, but after working with them, we decided to expand the engagement to helping with our recruitment.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We made two HR videos, both around 45 seconds long in both French and English. The videos help us explain what exactly our company does and what the roles we are hiring for look like.
They handled full-service production of the videos, including scripting, filming at both our plants in Quebec and all the post-production editing work.
What is the team composition?
They provided a team of people to work on our project including one main point of contact who functioned as the project manager.
How did you come to work with Oranje?
Oranje actually reached out to us to see if we would be interested in working with them on a video, and it ended up being a very good fit because it was clear from the beginning that they were both creative and hardworking.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost to us was $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We ran the production from September–December 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our first showing of the video was to our employees during the company Christmas party, and they were all excited and very proud of how we represented their plant. All the comments have been highly positive, including from the board of the company.
It has not been too long since the video launched, so it’s hard to measure the impact that it has had on our recruiting, but we have posted them to our social media channels and have gotten a lot of engagement there so far. We are looking forward to using it in job fairs throughout the year.
How did Oranje perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team was incredibly professional. They stayed right on time throughout the project and made it very easy to collaborate with them. We primarily communicated by email with them, and occasionally by phone when we had larger or more urgent things to discuss.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I think their natural curiosity and creativity is the biggest advantage they bring to their work. Their team brings a very fresh perspective to the work while also listening to all of my feedback and being very flexible, which is a combination you don’t find in many service providers.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I really don’t know if there’s anything they needed to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Their service is much better than the standard for their industry, so don’t hesitate to work with them. The better they understand your company, the better they will be able to represent you.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the new HR marketing conselor at Cascades, a packaging and containers manufacturing company. Cascades has more than 90 units in 6 countries and two continents. Our mission is to improve the well-being of people, communities and the planet by providing sustainable and innovative solutions that create value. My role in the company is to help develop and promote our employer brand in order to attract talent and hire the best candidates.
For what projects/services did your company hire Oranje?
Recruitment is particularly difficult these days, and companies must develop their employer brand and promote it to candidates in order to stand out from the competition. Thus, we proceeded to a call for tenders and selected Oranje to help us create a first video to present Cascades, represent the different employment sectors within the company, but above all, convey the values that represent our employees.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to launch a new signature part of our recruitment tools, but also to have a greater presence on social media as an employer of choice. The video will be the first in a series of videos presenting our jobs in all areas of our different units here at Cascades.
How did you select this vendor?
We proceeded to a call for tenders and selected the supplier according to several criteria including understanding the mandate, offer, and creativity.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
After selecting Oranje, a first meeting was held to set a more precise objective and better understand our needs. Then, a creative meeting took place to develop the script and storyboard. We then analyzed each scene, including the visual and narrative. We finally organized the shootings within our different units and proceeded to shoot. Finally, we continued with the translation of the narrative, adjustments to edited versions, and the development of shorter versions for social media. A launch plan has also been developed to maximize our impact on our various platforms.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
The relationship with the project manager and the director was authentic and collaborative. We were called upon for each step of the project's progress. They were also understanding of the approval steps in a company of our size and deadlines.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We haven't launched the video yet, but we've started presenting a first version internally and the following reaction is shared by all: the result is impressive and shiver-inducing!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was direct and effective. Each milestone was presented to us and we were able to provide comments and approvals within a reasonable time frame. The only challenge was to coordinate the shoots properly, taking into account the reality of the agency and the reality of our company and production. The deadlines were sometimes short to properly notify our employees involved in the shooting. All in all, they all seemed understanding.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The quality of the rendering and the creativity of the director were great! Also, the meticulousness to obtain the most beautiful result possible.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Creativity is clearly the strength of this agency! But, for a company the size of Cascades, it must be taken into consideration that creativity is not our core business and that production continues to run! A small improvement would be to anticipate a little more in advance the shooting requirements, make sure to anticipate unforeseen events that may occur during shooting, and make sure to avoid delays in order to respect the day's schedule. This would make collaboration with the business and the project team even more optimal.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm an HR adviser at BRP, a company that sells motorized recreational machines, such as Ski-Doo. I do all the recruiting and associated marketing for our firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oranje?
We had some issues with recruiting because we didn’t have access to the quality candidates we needed. We needed Oranje to make sure that we were visible on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram so our production would start on time with all the people we needed.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It was the second time that we’d worked with them, so they knew our team and our product. They invited us to their office and presented a sketch to make sure that people will talk about BRP. They had the idea of our director doing some interviews where people were asked to make the noise of a Ski-Doo. It was really funny.
They sent us a timeline of their delivery expectations, and then they came to our location. They did all the filming, which went really well. In the end, they made all the arrangements, the sound, and the image. In total, they created about 10 videos for us this year.
They also starting using Spotful this year, a platform that customizes videos to make them interactive with clickable links. In our videos, viewers could click to see other videos and could apply directly from the videos for a job. Oranje presented the idea of the interactive video so people could do all of this directly on one site.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact is Samuel (Producer, Oranje). We also worked with Alex Nolee (Director of Photography) and Alice (Producer) on strategy.
They had more team members for the video shoots. For the main video, they had six or seven people, but at other times only two or three. There’s also a lot of people at our company working with them.
How did you come to work with Oranje?
They actually came to us. Their president called my director and told them that they would be great partners for us. We visited them and it just worked. They made the first videos with us last year, and we decided to go with them again this year.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $50,000 ($38,000 USD) this year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from May 2018–May 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We needed to recruit over 400 people, and we did it. I think it was mostly due to the views on Facebook. We were able to reach a lot of people, and Oranje really helped us with all the strategies and how to use Facebook for publicity. They set up sponsorship on Facebook and Instagram. That really helped us because people were talking about us.
How did Oranje perform from a project management standpoint?
They're really responsive. I prefer to call them, but we also email and hold meetings. If I send an email, I usually have a response five minutes after.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're really creative. Their images are really nice, but I think what makes them different is their ideas. They see bigger things and get some amazing ideas. They're not afraid to go outside the box and be funny.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think so. I'm really happy with the work right now. It's perfect.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m a marketing advisor working for a Canadian consulting engineering firm based in Quebec.
For what projects/services did your company hire Oranje?
We initially hired them for creating a corporate video for us. We really loved the services they provided, so we now work with them for all of our video content.
What were your goals for this project?
We mainly wanted to promote the expertise of all of our engineers and position them as thought-leaders in their respected field of work.
How did you select this vendor?
We heard about Oranje through our digital agency and decided to hire them after hearing their vision for our video. We were also impressed by some of the other videos they've created.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
We usually brief them with the kind of content that we want and inform them of the goal behind the initiative. They come back to us with a few proposals, and we start from there. We’re currently shooting a series of vlogs for our website.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
Oranje is always proactive in proposing new ideas or challenging our own. I like to work with partners that aren’t afraid to let us know what they think because we hire them as experts in video and not only as cameramen.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Everyone at the firm loves the vlogs and now they all want to get one! We also successfully signed a client thanks to one of the vlogs that we did.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Working with Oranje is easy. Their project managers are always in control and get back to clients quickly with the requested changes.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Even though they’re a small team, you never have the feeling that they’re too busy to answer your questions. They’re well organized and have a team of experts in place. They feel like a big agency with the creative ideas of a small agency!
Are there any areas for improvement?
Some of the administrative processes could be improved, but I know that they’re working on it.

Video Production for Forestry Equipment Company
"If people are hearing about our company the first time, a video created by Oranje is the perfect first impression."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager at Pro Pac Industries, a forestry equipment manufacturer based in Quebec.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oranje?
Even though we’ve been in business for around 34 years, we’re in a specialized market and are virtually unknown outside of that. I wanted a video that we could market to people who’ve never heard of us. I also wanted to showcase that we’re a credible supplier with experience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oranje met with me to see if we wanted a technical or philosophical video. After going over our approach and following their suggestions, their team began filming. They found a subcontractor for drone shots and speakers for French and English narrations. Oranje completed the editing and delivered the final product. They offered to help with distributing, but I chose not to take them up on that.
What is the team composition?
We work with a dedicated project manager. On occasion, we touch base with Julien (Vice President, Oranje), but never deal directly with their editing team. While they were filming the video, I worked with two men on the film crew, showing them what features I wanted in the piece.
How did you come to work with Oranje?
I saw one of their videos for one of my suppliers. I’m bilingual and hate bad translation. Watching the video, I was impressed with the quality of language and narration, which included the audio and text. I called my supplier, asking who made the video. After contacting Oranje, their team came and met with me.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $25,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Oranje on the first video between November 2017–October 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
While there were delays on our end, we completed the first video, and are in the process of the second. The initial video is a niche product. The second one we’re working on is much broader and for sales. We’ll have quantifiable results once that is launched and users begin engaging.
How did Oranje perform from a project management standpoint?
They do an excellent job with project management. Their team is extremely modern and up-to-date. At first, I was frustrated with the number of conference calls because I’m used to face-to-face interaction. However, that didn’t hurt the project. Throughout video production, we worked with people in different areas. The narrators lived in Quebec and Toronto, and the scriptwriter was based in California. I was impressed with how efficient the process was.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I don’t have previous experience working with other vendors, so I can't compare them. I will say that Oranje is a passionate team and that’s how I am with my business. It’s nice working with a team that enjoys what they do. Even when I missed a conference call, I never felt like I was bothering them. They charged top dollar, but I haven’t compared the cost with other vendors. While they are a small team, Oranje produces quality work that people could see in a Super Bowl commercial. If people are hearing about our company the first time, a video created by Oranje is the perfect first impression.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’ve watched a ton of raw video, and while they have the best intentions, their crew spent a lot of time filming footage we didn’t need. There was a lot of filming of the machine and not enough of our piece of equipment. I understand the difficulty of that, but it could be resolved with a quick briefing between us.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing coordinator of P.H. Tech Inc, a PVC extrusions manufacturer.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oranje?
We hired Oranje to create a corporate video for our social media account and to help our recruitment efforts. We also wanted them to help create a video for our new product launch.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team pitched several ideas to us to begin the project. After they solidified their approach, they began planning each shoot and writing the scripts. They wrote the entire narrative for the video and sent us options to approve. They shot the video and submitted it for a final review recently, so we’re expecting to launch it soon. They also produced a video to promote our new product and wrapped up production for that.
What is the team composition?
They provided a dedicated project manager and 2–3 teammates for production.
How did you come to work with Oranje?
After hearing about Oranje, I liked their experience with bigger businesses and reputation for being skilled in their field.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $8,000 for one video and $15,000 on the other.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October 2018–January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven't launched the video yet, so we don’t have metrics on its success yet. However, from what we’ve seen, we’re confident the final product will be a success in our target market. Our team has seen the videos and are optimistic we’ll gain recruits from them.
How did Oranje perform from a project management standpoint?
Our project manager was excellent—all the communication was quick and consistent. Their team followed our directions and provided their own ideas, so everyone felt heard.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Though they are experts in their field, they valued our team’s input equally. There were times they would defer to our insight on an issue and we appreciated it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Though they showed us their drafts, we’d have liked to see more of the original footage to give our input earlier in the process.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the HR director of BRP, a company based in Vancouver and Quebec that specializes in recreational vehicles.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oranje?
There’s a tough employee market here and we needed to hire around 400 temps for extended production on the evening shifts. This was getting harder and harder to do each year, so I reached out to Oranje to see if we could set up a recruitment campaign on social media and video sites. In the past, we had focused more on newspapers and radio, so I decided to try new approaches.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oranje worked with us on communication and marketing so that we could reach out to new leads. They implemented a social media strategy on Facebook and made a short video, bringing all the creativity and knowledge required for that.
What is the team composition?
Their owner is my main contact.
How did you come to work with Oranje?
Their CEO contacted me after seeing me on the news on TV trying to push recruitment. He told me I had done a pretty good job, but he wanted to propose something new. That’s how it all started.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost has been $125,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Oranje in October 2017. The first campaign was for hiring people for June 2018, and we worked on it for a few months. We’re now working together on next year’s campaign.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We ran a sponsored campaign on Facebook and the video reached around 532,000 views. It brought in 136,000 leads, which was a very good score for us. Overall, it’s been a great partnership.
How did Oranje perform from a project management standpoint?
I’d say they’ve performed perfectly. I use the phone with them, and my team uses email for the most part. We also meet face to face.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team’s passion, energy, creativity, and unreal talent stands out. Oranje is also easy to work with. They’re kind people that listen carefully and understand our needs, asking questions constantly to make sure everything is okay for us. They’re young, they try new stuff, and they’re always open to new ideas.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since they’re a young team, they don’t have much experience, but this will come in time. They’re very good at what they do, so it’s not a relevant drawback for us.
The final product delivered by Oranje pleased the client and the engagement earned overall positive feedback. Their ability to truly listen to the vision and goals of the client made them stand out. Their small team was focused on quality, timely work.
