I am the CEO of a young Start-Up which wants to make a new learning experience for the students online.

We had no Website and Platform so OnGraph built it from the scratch. It was a difficult project with a complex backend development. So we worked together from the beginning and are now updating the Website together with OnGraph and are implementing new tools to the Platform.

We worked first on the design after we talked about everything we need for the platform. We changed a programmer once and it didn't change anything when it comes to the quality of work and communication. We worked with 1 project manager, 2 programmers, and 1 designer.

The site was built in this way we wanted. Of course, you have Feedback loops and some bug fixing but the guys were and are very fast and the quality of the work is very good so we stay here with OnGraph to build on this platform.

We use Trello and Slack and sometimes Slack-Calls or Skype to communicate. The most important messages were also sent via email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Impressive is the fast working and the effectiveness of the quality and the costs OnGraph has. They can offer you everything you need as a digital company because you get everything you ask for.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had one time that the conversation was a little delayed because after the first completion they had other projects to do. Here it would have been good if there were a small message that they are going to answer and work on a little later because of the other projects.

This message came a few days later but it would be better if a short delay would have been told earlier. It was not something that makes the collaboration bad but this could have done better.

They've enabled our business in every way, allowing customers to browse and purchase events across all of our locations, and empowering employees to create new events, search through reservations, issue refunds, and run reports. Specifically, they’ve developed every part of our customer-facing WordPress and e-commerce sites, from when we only had one store up until today, with 30 stores. They’ve also developed our internal CMS.

We’ve largely worked with two individuals, one of whom has been full-time the entire project and another who has been full-time as needed.

As noted above, they've enabled our business in every way. Without Ongraph, we wouldn't be where we are today.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We work through Asana. It’s highly effective, especially given the time zone difference.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have top-notch talent and are dedicated to their client's success.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, not that I’ve seen. They’ve delivered every part of our digital presence.

I'm the director of an online music platform.

We needed a company that could create a website for us. We didn't have the technical capabilities to do that in-house, so we were looking for an outside developer.

I provided them with the wireframes and they used them to develop and design the website. As we went along, they also gave input on some branding elements. They added unique features, such as a music player and PayPal integration.

We provide a comprehensive cloud-based business software for the online booking industry. I am the CEO of the company.

Our whole appointments module system had to be redeveloped using Ruby. We decided to outsource all development tasks to OnGraph so that we could focus on the product planning, strategy, and marketing.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to have a platform with a modern UI [user interface] as well as automated and integrated processes. The solution had to be future-proof and web-based, so we decided to use Ruby as our framework because of its reliability and proven industry standards. We wanted to create a professional UI based on the latest Bootstrap techniques in order to have a friendly UX [user experience]. In addition, Ruby offered flexibility for payment modules, ensuring a solid foothold for future revenue models.

Initially, we considered 5 companies. After looking at their portfolio, team, and price, OnGraph proved to be the best partner for this challenge. They immediately understood our goal and explained their development process clearly. They also demonstrated their dedication to this type of work. As the CEO, I was the sole decision-maker during the selection process.

Describe the project in detail.

OnGraph was responsible for creating a complete appointment platform based on our plug-in, including a financial module, a payment module, POS [point of sale], and other features. We provided full documentation on a functional and technical level, which helped us save money and speed up the project in a big way. Since I had coding skills, I provided the technical blueprint, design, and core Ruby code.

Explain how the solution addressed your business challenge.

It will enable companies that use appointments as their sales channel to focus on their core business without having to worry about accounting, scheduling, payments, and inventory management. Our solution will help increase users’ productivity by 150% on a daily basis.

What was the team composition?

We have a dedicated technical project manager and a senior Ruby developer, and a UI designer would sometimes assist us. The size of the team changes depending on the type of work. I review the team members and approve them according to our requirements and the skills needed.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

The solution is being developed in line with our timeframe and scope. So far, we are satisfied with the results. We wanted to launch an MVP [minimum viable product] last summer, but it got delayed due to some major bugs. As a result, we decided to postpone the launch and build other essential features parallel to the bug fixes.

How effective was the project management?

They’re handling project management professionally, and they meet deadlines most of the time. We use Skype, Slack, and Google Hangout on a daily basis. We can easily communicate with the developers and project manager.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are experienced in collaborating with Western clients and adapt well to market changes and technology trends.

Are there any areas for improvement?

My only tip would be to manage expectations better when defining the timeframe of complex features. A longer delivery is perfectly acceptable when communicated on time, which would allow us to adjust our timeline.

I’m the head of an Indian real estate development company, which works on various ongoing residential projects in North India.

We wanted to increase website traffic, so we needed to improve our website design and content to better describe our brand and product.

We started working together around February 2015. Although our site has launched, they continue to provide site maintenance.

I’ve gotten positive feedback from my brokers and customers, and the website has fulfilled its purpose.

They were able to set accurate timelines and stick to them, so overall they managed the project well. We mainly communicated through email and Skype, but we had some one-on-one meetings with their team due to the close proximity of their office.

Their expertise in their field is apparent. They have a quick turnaround time for deliverables, and they understood our expectations. Their capacity for understanding client needs and wants is impressive.

I’m not a technical person, so I can’t suggest anything, but I’m happy with the work they’ve done.

My company is Childlike Heart, Inc. We’re a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating children from the ages of 3 – 12 with a focus on literature, music, and technology.

We hired them for the development of our mobile app.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main goal was to have our app published on Google Play and the App Store iOS. We also wanted to deliver a product without defects.

How did you select this vendor?

I did an extensive search on the internet for companies that could help with the development of our project. OnGraph came up in my search and I knew there was an instant connection between us. Once I began the financial contribution for their service, OnGraph started the coding process. They delivered the code for testing in a timely fashion, as promised. Whenever adjustments were needed, they worked efficiently to resolve defects and submit another build.

What was the team composition?

The team collaborated well and working with Nikhil [Senior Business Development Manager, OnGraph Technologies] was truly a pleasure. He was patient, understanding, and guided me through the entire process. When the time approached to publish the app, Nikhil and his team worked diligently to assist with that process as I don’t have the technical knowledge to do it myself.

Even when adjustments were needed after the publication, Nikhil was responsive and delivered another build. He never expressed frustration but rather showed so much joy in working with my company. We even scheduled conference calls, and Nikhil showed me that our time difference had no impact on his work. He was accessible for the entire duration of our project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since our app's release, we have had more than 7,000 downloads and people in over 65 countries have downloaded our app, viewed our storybook, and visited our site. Our report also shows that we have no crashes.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As a quality assurance engineer myself, I can accurately state that OnGraph is a very excellent company to work with. Every employee that played a role in our app development communicated well via email and phone.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found this company's time management and customer service impeccable. The final build they delivered exceeded my expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I do not see any areas for improvement. If anything, I would like more people to know about them. There are several individuals that are impressed with my project, and I shared OnGraph's information with them. I highly recommend this company for any technological services.

We are a venture working on gamification of math educations. We’re building a platform for high schools in India. I’m one of the directors of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with OnGraph?

Lacking the skillsets in-house, we wanted to engage a specialized company to do web development for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our platform is designed to provide extensive practice to students. There are 2 aspects: the 1st is building the database of questions in high school mathematics and providing practice for students. The 2nd aspect is working toward creating engaging concepts and content that can help teach students.

OnGraph designed the platform for all the programming work and the web interface where the data entry team puts all the multiple-choice questions and answer choices they've cut from different sources. They’re building the total backend for us from the application architecture perspective, as well as the main stack, including NodeJS and AngularJS. It’s one of the most versatile backend technologies.

They’re also building the web frontend, where users can log in and access the application, and designing the relevant screens. There will be a mobile app for users to access the frontend and the questions. We are working on the Android version and later, iOS.

The team has varied depending on the specific task. There have been 3–4 people on average.

We were referred from an internet community. We had meetings with them after a few calls and saw their portfolio, the profile, and the kind of work they’d done. We felt comfortable with the team and decided to work with them.

We started working together in February 2017 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform is still under development.

How did OnGraph perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform well. Their project managers are experienced people, understand the technologies, and give great visibility on progress. They let us know what they expect and how much time, and in most cases, they deliver in those parameters. We frequently collaborate on Skype with group chats, screen sharing, and discussing the status of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s been a fantastic experience. Their team works fast. Point them in the right direction, and they expand on your talk in a substantial manner. I’ve given them a brief and been surprised at how fast and how much they built. I now realize how much a specialized development contractor has to offer.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a contractor and project manager in charge of the global service system at a manufacturing company headquartered in Japan. My client has about 2,000 employees worldwide. The app is stable and all its previous issues were solved.

For what reason(s) did your company hire OnGraph Technologies?

My client’s web application was developed using Oracle and PHP and it had a performance issue. Because of that, users had to spend a significant amount time waiting in front of the screen every day. There was a problem in the database design and programming style, so my client decided to re-write it using Ruby on Rails and MySQL.

What were your goals for this project?

My client wanted to improve the performance and stability of their web app by re-writing it. They also wanted to make a quick modification to it.

How did you select this vendor?

We made a specification document for 1 screen and asked 3 vendors to come up with an estimate. We picked 2 vendors and let them build the screen. We selected OnGraph because their application programming is clean and they built it very fast.

Once we selected the vendor, our main developer made a base application and we asked OnGraph to develop it following its coding style. We use Redmine to track each screen’s issues.

What was the team composition?

I was the project manager and there was a main on-site frontend developer in the U.S. and 2 frontend developers from India.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After about 1 year of development, we released it to users and had a 6-month period of ongoing bug fixes and support. My client was very happy with the performance of the web application. We also covered almost all of the pending issues of the old app within this period. The performance of the screen improved by about 80%. The platform is also very stable and has almost no downtime.

The developers were very quick at programming, at understanding our requirements, and at learning our programming style.

I am the principal and program director for Jaarvis Accelerator, a global accelerator for startups based in Gurgaon, India.

What challenge were you trying to address with OnGraph?

I hired them to scope out the technology we’re building. They're my tech team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The technology is similar to AdTech, though it’s not traditional. It’s a mobile content distribution system. Our platform is in JavaScript but mobile focused in both mobile web and mobile app.

We had to develop a new type of a sophisticated server. At the time, they didn’t have AdTech because serving technology was not their specialty, mobile apps were. This turned out to be a plus because they didn’t have any preconceived notions of what things should or shouldn't do. We developed an app together for our technology, and they went outside what they normally do. We wound up creating an amazing server.

We mainly work with Baati [Director/Delivery & Operations, OnGraph Technologies] and Guarav [Delivery Head, OnGraph Technologies] because they are the project manager and lead engineer, respectively. They have a whole team of people working under them. If I need 32 hours of work done, they could get it done in under 24 hours.

How did you come to work with OnGraph?

Their CEO had heard about a project I was doing and volunteered to work on it for free because it fascinated them. We never did that project, but I was impressed by the offer. So when I needed to hire a team for a technology that I just got funded, I went out to India to meet and work with them for about a week. It was an amazing experience. It’s taken me a long time to find a really reliable tech team that understands me. I want to continue working with them.

We started working together in 2014 for another project, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everyone in our company is happy with them, especially our investors. They want to make referrals for OnGraph, as they're always dealing with other entrepreneurs who need a good tech team.

How did OnGraph perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent, incredibly reliable, and have lots of integrity, as evidenced when they informed us of a billing error they'd made. Every turnaround time we requested, we got. We email but usually use Skype. I also felt comfortable putting Baati in a few client-facing conversations on email chains. Her and Amit’s [Director of Business Development, OnGraph Technologies] communication is excellent; some of their team members are difficult to understand, but it's a minor thing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're really into innovation and excited about working with me, as I thrive on new types of products and technologies. They're eager to wrap their heads around figuring out certain kinds of problems, which is where I enjoy working with them the most. Baati and Amit are like family to me now, and I wouldn’t be where I am right now, as a developer, without them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The time zones are difficult, and India is very strict with how their office culture works and what the work hours are. They have a lot of holidays. We’re an early stage company, so we deal with it. As we ramp up, however, we'll have to work with people in our time zone too. Other than that, the individual, personal performance of everyone on the team I worked with is top notch.
