I'm the CEO of the next-gen preventative and private residential and commercial security, that integrates with third-party services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Offsiteteam?

We hired this time to develop our server and desktop interface that connects our IoT devices, App, development of Rest. We started working back in 2017 and the team showed impressive flexibility and on-time delivery, so we continued working with them.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for experienced server developers. Prior to working with Offsite we worked with a number of vendors. Offsite has been recommended by another company and after interview and project review, we gave first sprints for delivery, followed by large scope deployments.

They created a server and dashboard, followed by Tier-3 support.

Project Manager, Business Analyst, Sr. Engineer, and the team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The product has been launched in 2018 and number of upgrades and new releases since.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Prior to development going through detailed documentation with UC and sprints, typically between 5 and 10 days. Following each sprint calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Preparation for sprints, execution, and documentation. The team that knows how to connect dots.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The team is great and they are able to adapt as per our needs, this is why we are still together. They are very attentive to feedback and are dedicated to improving their team

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Chief of Staff at Begell House, publishing company. Its STM (Scientific Technical and Medical) publisher since 1991. Specialize publications in thermal and fluid engineering as well as biomedical sciences.

For what projects/services did your company hire Offsiteteam, and what were your goals?

To create a digital publishing website and workflow as well as the infrastructure from scratch in order to go digital from print. Website development, design, submission site for publications flow, typesetting support, later mobile app development, 3D models, analytics data and reports. And still today the overall maintenance of it and support.

It was a while ago and different search engines.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our traffic increased over 70-80%. Now customers have better idea of our products and publications. It's easy to search and find. And modern and up to date with the design and website standards.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We communicate on daily basis as well as monthly goals and plan with the main managers as well as all team of programmers and designers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very professional, always on time, and easy to communicate with. They are always reachable any day any time if any problems or questions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first lauched or when we update website and its design, there are always some small bugs but they are quick to fix it right away.

I’m the former president of a financial services provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with Offsiteteam?

We needed someone to develop our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Offsiteteam first built our website. Our clients and agents had access to a backend program that allowed them to track sales. They then maintained and updated it.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 6–7 teammates, including the owner, a few programmers, and some designers.

Someone recommended Offsiteteam to me.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent over $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2006–December 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Offsiteteam built a website that functioned as we needed it to.

How did Offsiteteam perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was excellent. We communicated primarily via email, but we also had the occasional phone call. 

There was quite a significant time zone difference between us, so they usually worked outside of our business hours and sent us updates in the morning. I would then review their progress and send them feedback. Overall, it worked very well for us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Offsiteteam fulfilled our needs — their work was always exactly what we were looking for. In addition, they responded well to direction and feedback. 

It was easy to work with them because they truly understood what we were doing. This was impressive because our business was quite complicated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we never had any problems with Offsiteteam.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Maintain close communication with the team. Keep in mind that some of their team members don’t speak English, so I recommend interacting with them via email.
