VinoKilo is a social enterprise that runs Germany's biggest pop-up event for second-hand clothes
VinoKilo aims to become Europe's largest touchpoint for reusing second-hand clothing. Their rapid growth had them in need of a new digital look with the optimised user experience of their online store to push themselves even further. We collaborated with them in the course of 18 months and helped them increase revenue by 253% and sales by direct traffic by 259% in 8 months after relaunching their website.

Pioneers establishes business relationships between tech innovators to foster growth
Pioneers is a tech hub based in Vienna. Their Pioneers Festival is one of the biggest tech events in Europe. We had the great opportunity to set the new visual language of Pioneers, which later on we implemented within all of its sub-units, the website and all of the print and digital materials. We designed more than 15 logotypes for the various brand sub-units and improved the overall UX and ease of use of the marketing website and their inner platform by setting a clear navigational system and coherent interface patterns.
KPIs we achieved: 42% lower bounce rate, 52% increase in pages/session ratio, 87% higher average time on site.

Majio is a service for matching applicants and jobs in order based on skills, background, and experience. They empower companies in the knowledge-based economy to recruit the right talent faster and make informed decisions. Mission Emission Calculate the Environmental Cost of Your Travels
We built Mission Emission with a simple goal - to raise awareness of the environmental impact of traveling.
We are based in Sofia, which is one of the most polluted cities in Europe. Winter usually is the worst time, very often the air is so dusty that you can see what you are breathing. That is why we created this website, that calculates the emissions a vehicle produces when commuting to a certain destination and suggests alternative ways of transportation.

For more than two years, we have been involved in the development of the application. This presentation shows our efforts towards designing the app. We worked on the app for over 2 years, created 100+ screens with a total of 32BG+ design files and in more than 300 iterations.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Infinite X which is a blockchain outsourcing company based in Bulgaria.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oblik Studio?
Our goal was to develop a new website. We wanted to work with a company that has experience in developing websites. We were looking for a company that could help us with everything from beginning to end.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked with them on the development of the website. When we started working with them, we already had the design for the website. On their end, they needed to develop everything on the platform that we were using. It was a completely new website that we built from scratch. We used Kirby which they recommended.
What is the team composition?
I think there were four or five people, but we mainly worked with the project manager and one of their developers.
How did you come to work with Oblik Studio?
They were recommended to us by a mutual contact. Based on their experience, they were best suited for this project.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent between $5,000–$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started around mid-February 2020, and we worked with them until the end of May of that year.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were very strict about what we wanted to receive. When everything was ready and the site was deployed, we were using a Google tool that allows developers and business managers to actually see the performance of the website both on mobile and web. It is mainly used for SEO. I just checked it again and we have a score of 95% for the web, and 85% for mobile which is very high for a website like ours.
How did Oblik Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
I think they did a great job. We worked mainly with the project manager and developer. I am a developer as well so everything was very smooth. They were always available if we had any questions or if something needed to be changed. They use Trello and from our side, we were able to see all the tasks and what was happening. They have a very strong process in terms of development.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their way of thinking is impressive. They aren’t discouraged if they don’t know something. They actually go further and innovate which is a great thing, because as I mentioned, we had some strict requirements. The results after the implementation and deployment are just mind-blowing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there is anything to improve at the moment. They are doing a really great job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I highly recommend them because their team is amazing. It is very easy to work with them and they always bring more to the table than was initially discussed. They go further and try to bring more value to the whole project.

We first underwent a thorough initial survey concerning our fundamental project objectives and requirements. We shared brief company insights and brand values to help the team understand the basics and form a solid understanding of what their design needs to carry as a message to our visitors and customers.
What we honestly needed was a team of adept and experienced professionals who could handle the task without too much involvement on our part, and thankfully, this was precisely what we got. All we did was explain our thoughts and concepts, then send a list of the pages needed, and finally let the team do what they had to do.
Soon enough, we have witnessed the final result - the perfect picture of what we had imagined from the very beginning.

We are soon to pilot Hemm’s business website and finally welcome our current and future clients in a dedicated personal webspace.
We believe in the power of brand and web design to re-shape user perspectives and experiences on the website, so we believe that the work of Oblik Studio will significantly promote our overall online performance and conversions.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
As we already mentioned, we were seeking a more laid-back workflow style, with minimum participation on our part. We believe that high-ranked professionals do not need constant monitoring, so we decided to leave all trust issues behind and let the Oblik’s team surprise us.
Put simply, all we did was make our initial brand presentation and share a bit of detail about the outcome we intended. What we received after a few weeks surpassed our expectations and confirmed our brave pre-judgment: that we are dealing with some of the top experts in the field.

The process began with an extended project description in matters of general idea, aims and perspectives. All in all, we needed two basic things: a design concept to represent our brand, and then the implementation of this concept in all the online marketplace sections, categories, and pages.
As a team of web developers, we easily found common grounds with the team and didn’t need to explain ourselves in deep detail - the people of Oblik Studio knew what we meant before we could even finish saying it out loud. Once our requirements were clearly defined, we simply let the team work.

The project line-up and management were timely and transparent above all. We kept being updated about the progress and free to give feedback for improvement of some details. Our communication channels consisted of mostly email, sharing mode of their design tool for feedback and the occasional call.
The overall time for getting the job done was around 4 months including the delay in feedback we induced.

We checked out their work and were impressed by the quality and design of their projects. After a round of meetings with potential companies that could create a website for our startup, we chose as they Oblik stood out with their professional and structured approach to website design.
Describe the project in detail.
The project was very well structured. We had a kick off meeting with the responsible person for the project as well as the website designer. We decided on a direction, functionality, and milestones.
After two weeks we received the first draft for the website and with minimal communication, we got to a great result. Oblik was very responsive to our every need and was there for us when we needed to add/ modify something during the design process.
After a week all of our wishes were added to the website and it was ready to be filled with content. To help us in this process Oblik provided a detailed guide on how to work with the platform the site was created on. They provided assistance during this process as needed.
After some time had past and the website was online the provided additional assistance to us as a professional currency which left a great impression and assured we would work with them on future projects as well.

The new design helped us attract more customer interest than ever before. With the new professional look, we entered meeting with clients and potential partners on the foundation of a solid brand that communicated class and a professional attitude.

I'm one of the co-founders of Saga - a notes and document editor that helps teams organize their knowledge at work and connect different sources of information across their workspace.
For what projects/services did your company hire Oblik Studio?
My co-founder and I started building Saga a few weeks before engaging Oblik. Initially we created a brand identity, logo and selected a color palette ourselves. After selecting the brand name we quickly realized that it would be great to get some help from brand and design professionals who will do a better job than what we achieved.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal of the project was to create a visual identity for Saga which includes the brand, logo, color and fonts selection, presentation deck design, print files for business cards and stickers. Communicating the right message though the brand is important for the type of software we are building, so creating a great brand identity was crucial for us.
How did you select Oblik Studio?
I worked with Oblik a few years ago at my previous company on a rebranding and UX/UI project. I was familiar with the quality that the Oblik team is capable of delivering and wanted to work again with them when I decided to launch my own company.
Other than that I liked the lean style of communication I had with Oblik in the past and expected that this time it won't be any different. After an intro call where we presented Saga and what we are looking for, my co-founder and I decided to work with Oblik.
Describe the project in detail.
My co-founder and I filled a form that contained details needed for the creation of the brand identity. Moreover, we sent a brand brief file prepared in advance, that outlined our product vision, our feeling about the brand and our expectations. The process from there was very efficient and clear. Work started a week or two after that.
Communication happened over Slack. The project was organized as a sprint with duration of around 1 week, so communication was very fast and efficient. On the second day of the sprint, the Oblik team started sending us suggestions based on the information we provided in the form and in our brief.
My co-founder and I would then quickly give feedback continuously throughout the duration of the spring.
After around 1 week of iterative work we received all files and guidelines sorted and presented as a Figma file as we have requested them at the beginning of the sprint.
What was the team composition?
The team that delivered work on the project consisted of the Oblik art director, a graphic designer and an interactive designer. In addition, another interactive designer and an account director were in the Slack channel. My co-founder and I were mainly communicating with the art director and the graphic designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
After introducing the brand identity in the product we started hearing extremely positive feedback from our users about the look and feel of the brand. The quality of the identity and all materials created by Oblik exceeded our expectations and created the needed positive feeling in our users about Saga.
Oblik was able to communicate our product and vision in a well crafted brand identity in the best way possible.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We were impressed by the time efficiency of the team and of course the quality of the work that exceeded our expectations. Communication was very lean and based on iterative feedback.
It was closer to how product and software teams work compared to what we would have expected from large design agencies.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The quality of the delivered materials and overall understanding of our vision about the product were outstanding. The results really exceeded our initial expectations and the deep knowledge of user behavior, user preferences and branding were evident from the very beginning of the project.
Another impressive point was the attention to detail. Small details, margins and pixel positions matter in design and Oblik delivered high quality results quickly and on schedule.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m one of the partners of Space Coffee and do all our marketing and operations. We’re a coffee subscription service for offices. My partner started the company about a year and a half ago, and our first market is here in Vienna, Austria. We’ll be expanding to new cities, and hopefully countries, in the next three months.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oblik Studio?
We hired them to handle our website design and branding identity.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Oblik Studio created all of our visual identities. First, they designed our website, which is hosted through Squarespace. Then, they took on all of our graphic design for electronic and print materials. This included branding, logo, fonts, labels, and stickers. Basically, they designed all of the packaging for our copy.
We came in with an idea of what we wanted to do in terms of the identity and feel of our brand. Oblik Studio then took the reins and handled the entire creative process. They took our input and transformed it into a wonderful design.
What is the team composition?
I personally worked with two individuals, the manager of the studio and a designer. Also, the project itself was handled by a project manager. Before I joined, my partner worked with a developer to build the website.
How did you come to work with Oblik Studio?
My partner worked with them on another project at a previous company. He was super happy with their work, so he chose to work with them again.

What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership began in February 2019. The biggest chunk of the project has wrapped up, but now they occasionally provide updates and new designs.

We like their designs very much. What they’ve done for us is excellent. We’ve received positive feedback about our design from clients.
How did Oblik Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Trello, and I’m super happy with our process. First, we hold an initial call about a topic and then compose a written briefing over email. Once we discuss everything and nail the details down, we move the task onto Trello to guide its progress. Then we take it from there until it’s completed. Our process is very transparent and it works.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Oblik Studio is super responsive and easy to work with. The quality we receive for the price is amazing. We’re super happy with the outcomes so far. The most impressive thing for me is their transparency and ease of collaboration.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s only one thing that comes to mind. However, it’s not really negative since it may have happened because our briefing wasn’t clear enough. When we worked on a two-pager project, my team was expecting more creative input from their side; but we didn't see that. However, as I said, that could’ve been a communication fault on our part.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to start by jotting your ideas down and presenting them clearly through writing. Oblik Studio is very good at responding and giving their own input, but you need to have a clear idea before starting the design process. If your idea is too vague, the process will be more difficult. Create precise expectations and ideas, put them on paper, and go from there.

I am the co-founder and managing partner of Smetalo. I have a background in the field of software programming, but my primary focus is in digital marketing, education and entrepreneurship.
Smetalo is a math academy teaching 4 to 8-year-old kids geometry and arithmetic. We also create math courses and study materials. In addition to learning mathematics, the kids develop their concentration and logical thinking skills. Depending on their age, they face different obstacles through games and exciting challenges. We teach children to be curious, believe in themselves, and explore the world by the principle of Thomas Edison: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work".
For what projects/services did your company hire Oblik Studio?
We needed to create a brand identity, logotype and overall art direction for Smetalo. We have approached Oblik Studio to help us establish our visual communication by consulting us about the design direction and creating the overall branding alongside various types of marketing materials. Things such as apparel, as well as other print merchandise, digital banner sets and social media graphics, illustrations and motion graphics and etc.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to kick-off our campaign in the end of February, right before the spring school semester begins. In order to start getting children signed up for our classes, we had to start our online marketing campaigns and start approaching potential partners. Our goal was to have a coherent visual identity and the needed visual materials to organize and speed up our spring campaign.
How did you select this vendor?
I have worked with Oblik Studio about three years ago on a couple of other projects, and I was very impressed by their approach and overall work processes. I have been following their work ever since 2015, and although we have screened two more freelance designers at Smetalo, it was a no-brainer that we will work with Oblik again.
Their offer was very competitive in terms of timeframes and the process of communication and file delivery. Even though it was a bit higher in terms of budget, the combination of high-quality design executed within a short period of time is what makes us satisfied that we choose them.
Describe the project in detail.
We worked with the team in order to get a proposal for a logo, mascot illustration, typography, and colors - the overall brand look and feel and a few merchandise and print materials. Initially, we got two different design directions.
After we decided to go with the second one, Oblik’s team designed a t-shirt, notebook, two flyers, AdWords campaign visuals and a template that allows us to modify the visuals in an easy manner for future campaigns, as well as Facebook carousels and Facebook post visuals and templates.
What was the team composition?
From our side, I was involved as the main decision-maker, since Oblik kindly asked us to have one decision-maker that has the final decision, and my partner was involved in the communication and the preparation of the legal documents. Oblik involved their design director, art director, and graphic designer, as well as an account manager who prepared the contract and was responsible mostly for the communication, regarding the legal and organizational side of the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We’ve launched our campaign even before all of the design materials were delivered because Oblik prioritized what we needed to start our online marketing.
That’s why we started our campaign a bit earlier than expected and managed to reach 5 600 000 impressions on AdWords and 52 000 on Facebook with a Clickthrough Rate (CTR) of 0.4%, which led to 100+ children subscribed for our spring course, which is 90% of our targets. We’ve also got positive feedback from parents about our visual presence, both online and in our office.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
At Smetalo we were busy doing the whole project - strategy and organization, planning and marketing, so it was important for us to have a very streamlined workflow between the two companies. We send an initial email to ask if Oblik were available and interested in such type of project. After they have confirmed, they asked us to fill their “Start a project” form that is available on their website.
The form is very well organized and took us about 20 minutes to fill. Within a day, Oblik sent us a proposal via email. We took the time to compare the three proposals we’ve had at this moment and agreed to start work with Oblik. They’ve prepared the contract and after we signed it and made the first payment, they have onboarded us on a Trello board. On that board, they explained to us their recommended process and what the next steps would be.
They’ve mapped a detailed roadmap with specific delivery dates, which helped us a lot to plan when we need to give our input in terms of content, and feedback and approvals. They started work on the design and were keeping us in the loop via Trello. We really liked the transparent process and that we were able to follow the progress in real-time without any unnecessary meetings, calls or emails.
Once they were ready with their first proposals, they asked for an online meeting, where their account manager and design director presented the two branding directions their team have proposed. We liked one of the proposals and asked for a couple of small tweaks. A few days later we got a revised proposal that we liked and approved.
Afterward, they prepared all of the design files and delivered them to us. I, in particular, was impressed with how smart their files were created and organized, which gave us the opportunity to do small tweaks in the content without ruining the designs, even without being a designer. We are very happy with the straight-to-the-point approach of the Oblik team!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their direct and honest approach stood out to us. As well as their technical organization of the process and files, and how well they understood our needs without the need for long and ineffective meetings and calls.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Although the speed of delivery was satisfying, I believe that if they focus more on the bigger picture and not on tiny design details, they will have even better performance without sacrificing the quality of design.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
Tuk-Tam is a nonprofit organization that is trying to build a global community of Bulgarians who are engaged and active in Bulgaria and its communities no matter their location around the world. I’m the founder.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oblik Studio?
We were launching a new platform called Guide to Bulgaria. We had the content we wanted but needed to make the platform intuitive to navigate and to incentivize people to register.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our platform is a comprehensive guide that helps people navigate either moving their life to Bulgaria or, if not, staying engaged remotely. Oblik Studio handled all of our UX/UI design work for the project, helping to take our initial ideas and turn them into user flows and illustrations for every page of the full product wireframe.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 4–5 members of their team in total.
How did you come to work with Oblik Studio?
A mutual connection recommended their team to us, and we met up with them we initially had very good chemistry. They are very open and honest about who they are and what they do, and they liked our mission and were happy to work with us, so we decided to move forward.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $5,000–$6,000 dollars in total because of our status as a nonprofit.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project has progressed through a couple of distinct phases, running primarily from May 2019–January 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
A tremendous amount of our progress on the platform has been enabled by the work that they did for us. We gave them a lot of work to do, and they stayed on top of all of our requirements and continued to provide really high-quality work.
How did Oblik Studio perform from a project management standpoint?
They were able to meet all of the deadlines that we set out for them at the beginning of the project and used Trello, Slack, and email to stay on top of all of those tasks and make sure everyone was on the same page. I thought they made good use of those tools without making it too overwhelming to monitor all of those different platforms.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team is incredibly nimble and quick to adapt to any changes that we request from them. They were always very understanding of our core goals and willing to modify their approach to fit into those. That made the project much easier to manage from our end as well as making the collaboration just more enjoyable for everyone involved.
Are there any areas they could improve?
As a product of the nature of our project and the number of people involved, there were a couple of points where I wasn’t sure who to go to with specific requests that I had. It might have been nice to have one point person to help centralize those requests, but overall I really didn’t feel that it caused any problems.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open with what your goals are, meet him in person if possible, and trust their process. The more trust you can develop between your teams, the smoother the process is going to be.

For Fine Acts' 2019 annual report we wanted to showcase our work and our major projects in a more engaging and fun way, rather than a scrollable pdf-like page (or a literal PDF embedded in a webpage).
How did you select Oblik Studio and what were the deciding factors?
I have been following Oblik Studio's work for some time. Having been impressed with their work, I contacted them for our project. They offered a very good timeline and a competitive price. Deciding on a digital project contractor can often be a dreadful task filled with too many uncertainties.
Given Oblik's history and the feedback I got from people who had worked with them, I was pretty untroubled contacting them.

The project included design and development with the following steps:
- discovery and exploration of different UX approaches;
- animation of illustrations;
- web development.

- motion graphic visuals;

- a project prototype was created in Figma;
- After Effects for the motion graphics;
- the website stack is Oblik's take on the HTML5/JS stack.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Team was a Project Manager, a Lead Full-stack Designer, a Motion Graphic Designer, a Full-stack Developer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our final product was met with an extremely positive attitude from a myriad of partners and stakeholders. Several of our partners later told us they will be changing their reporting format to follow what they saw in our project.

Oblik Studio's project management culture is one of the best I've encountered. Although ours was a short project, we had check-ins every couple of days, with the team very tightly following the schedule. Ultimately, overdelivering on what we initially agreed upon. I cannot be more happy to work with them.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were very quick, organized and prompt in completing the project. The came up with new ideas for improving how the final product looks for the user, which I admire greatly and was a major benefit for us.
