New packaging design for Oolong
Oolong contacted Nugno to create a new line of luxury soaps, the “Turkish Rose Collection”.
Made with raw ingredients and essential oils to nourish the skin, these handcrafted products are dedicated to promoting the local economy and responsible consumption.
The new brand identity underlines the glamour and intrigue of Oolong. The mix of straight lines and curves brought a sense of calm to the brand.
We brought this sense of clarity to all the brand communications – including tone of voice and photography. Using nature-inspired colors, we worked to communicate the true essence of the natural ingredients. The colors of the packaging are derived from the content of the soap’s ingredients (yellow and pink rose petals).
Our Role
- Creative Direction
- Brand Identity Design
- New packaging design

Branding & Web Design for MLA Architecture
MLA Architecture is a multi-award winning, internationally recognised, London-based architecture and design studio.
We partnered with MLA to redesign their identity and Website —creating an engaging, powerful brand that reflects the studio’s high calibre services.
By developing an entirely new visual system based on the Golden Ratio, we were able to build a suite of internal designs and strategies to emulate MLA’s dedication to providing modern, stylish designs to individuals and communities.
The website brief was to create a very minimal website which still had that special something to elevate it beyond a standard site design. Thanks to the mobile-first design, with the objective to involve an increasingly connected audience from smartphones, important results have been obtained in terms of user experience and digital marketing.
The new architecture has also brought benefits to the level of navigation and user experience, with an increase of the average time on the page and one decrease of the total bounce rate from all the devices.

Hummingbird Australia — Social Media Design Strategy
Revitalisation brief
Hummingbird Australia is a millennial women’s fashion brand whose love for fashion, and women who embrace individuality through fashion, drives their entire brand philosophy.
With digital being the primary connection point between the Hummingbird Australia brand and its customers, we used the social media strategy experience as our foundation to define the brand identity framework.
Through exploration and iteration, we were able to establish a system rooted in raw aesthetics, real personality, and authentic opinions. As a brand with something to say, we designed the way it was said by making it simple, but significant bold typography, strong images, and minimal elegance.
As we designed the system, we established brand guidelines and standards that communicate how to best represent the brand across channels.
What we’ve done:
- Creative Direction
- Motion Graphic
- Digital Graphic
- Social Media Design Strategy

Brand Design & Strategy for Medical Clinic
"It felt like they truly cared about our business."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the co-founder at Poliambulatorio Centro smile. The aim of Centro Smile is to promote the interconnection between the various specialist disciplines, so we can offer our customers a multipurpose health consultancy service that combines professionalism and timely intervention within a welcoming and technologically tense professional structure.
For what projects/services did your company hire Nugno?
We needed help with our branding and messaging as a company. We wanted to uplift our company values, marketing strategy and revamp our company look and feel. We began looking for an external provider who could help us take our brand to the next level and introduce us to new markets nationwide.
What were your goals for this project?
We are widely known in our local area, we wanted to spread our brand awareness. We also wanted to create new, professional, out-of-the-box marketing materials that could communicate our company's identity with both our internal team and with our target customers.
How did you select this vendor?
My team searched for branding agencies on Google. We looked at 4 or 5 different companies, taking into consideration their website, portfolio, and past clients. We ended up choosing Nugno because we liked their website the most. Their case studies were polished, professional, and creative, so I reached out to them. After talking on the phone, their team actually came to our office for an in-person visit. I could tell right away that we clicked and we decided to contract them for the project that very day.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The process began with a series of discovery sessions, where they spoke with the majority of our internal team members, ranging from our account managers all the way to our CEO. They spent a large deal of time listening to us, learning about our company, and really coming to understand the goals and visions for our brand. After those initial meetings, they created an entire brand package for us, including a new tagline, logo, and messaging materials.
What was the team composition?
I worked directly with Eleonora and Luca, which was great, knowing that their top executives were involved. I also worked with their designers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since working with Nugno, we have received countless positive remarks on our new logo and brand image. We've experienced a 43% growth in social media engagement with customers. Everyone within our company loves the brand and our new brand identity has been readily accepted by our clients.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They were sending us weekly updates and reports that showed us what's been accomplished on their side, what was next on the to-do list, and what was needed from us in order to keep the project moving. Whenever I had a question or concern, they were getting back to me with an email or phone call within one day.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was impressed by their commitment to really learn about and understand our company before creating the brand. It felt like they truly cared about our business and had a vested interest in our success. Their team is extremely creative - they hire only the best of the best.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not really

Magazine Redesign for Publishing Company
"They’re very open to feedback and collaboration."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director and editor-in-chief of Outsider Magazine, an Irish outdoor adventure publication. We also have an awards ceremony, a website, and social media platforms.
What challenge were you trying to address with Nugno?
We were relaunching our magazine and needed to redesign the print publication. We also redid our website and changed parts of our awards ceremony simultaneously.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Nugno’s team played an instrumental role in our redesign. They embarked on a deep research process to seek new directions for the graphic design. We wanted it to have a Nordic design and a more organic feeling. They collaborated with us to find the most attractive product. After researching other magazine designs and natural features for inspiration, they created a final design for the print magazine.
They’re constantly evolving because they’re involved in so many different projects with a variety of clients, and they brought that adaptability to Outsider. For example, they also came up with some ideas for our trophies at the awards event. Even in our social media channels, they gave us some direction. They did not redesign the website, but they did offer some input and suggestions in that process.
What is the team composition?
We mostly worked with two people: Eleonora (Co-founder, Nugno) and Luca (Co-founder, Nugno).
How did you come to work with Nugno?
They worked on our graphic design 5–6 years ago, but we started working together again for this redesign. I met Eleonora while working at a former business, and I got her and Lucas to do the design for us because I trusted them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend between $1,500–2,000 per issue.
What is the status of this engagement?
The redesign project began in February 2018 and lasted for three months. We only publish once a quarter, so it’s the perfect timeline for us.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Anecdotally, many clients gave great reviews for the relaunched magazine. They said it was “amazing” and “world-class,” which meant a lot given that we are a small Irish magazine. Advertising revenue has steadily grown since they’ve been involved, and the improved design definitely has an influence. They made sure the design was sustainable and developed interesting ideas, including finding a new type of paper.
How did Nugno perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very productive at leading while also collaborating and taking my opinions into account. If you need something turned around quickly, they’ll tell you the timeline and deliver it. They’re very flexible and good at pulling out the stops to get something finished. The team is consistently responsive to emails and phone calls.
When we had feedback, they were good at taking it and adjusting their work in a timely fashion. They’re a pleasure to work with and an enjoyable, good-spirited company.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team speaks excellent English and communicates very well. As a company, they go the extra mile, which is huge in print publishing when you have tight deadlines. I’ve recommended them to friends.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so. They did a good job of managing expectations as to how long things would take, and while you always want it done faster, they correctly asserted that patience would be worth it in the end.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You should let them be creative. Letting them have a bit of fun and sprinkle their creative “fairy dust” on top is always helpful. They’re also very open to feedback and collaboration. The more you know you want, the more you can communicate.
