A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a partner at a company called JetShineUSA, which is a distributor of a protectant product for hard services such as cars, boats, and aircrafts. As well, I’m the president and CEO of a corporate event planning company. I’m also the tournament director for the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic—a women's golf event.
What challenge were you trying to address with Noticestry?
Noticestry manages the website, social media, and e-commerce system for my protectant product company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Noticestry designed and continues to support our website. It’s an e-commerce platform, so people order products through it. Their team manages our social media accounts for us including Facebook posts and tweets. For our new hard copy sales sheet, one of their teammate's creates new graphics.
Their team also provides services to my other companies. For the golf tournament, Noticestry built the website, manages social media and e-commerce for the ticket sales.
What is the team composition?
Usually, we meet with about three different people including Brandon (CEO) and Ryan (President and CTO). There are more people involved too.
How did you come to work with Noticestry?
Another business recommended Noticestry, so I looked at their work. They were enthusiastic and offered a competitive rate. Their team also understood that we’re a slow-growth company and sticks with us.
How much have you invested with them?
The investments total around five figures. We don’t invest as much because Noticestry makes a commission on the company’s sales. This helps us as we grow.
What is the status of this engagement?
Their engagement with JetShineUSA started in March 2016 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We certainly present ourselves better online and our image is a big portion of our success. Before Noticestry, we didn’t have a social media presence. The growth hasn’t been as significant as we hoped, but it’s still there and much of the growth is attributable to Noticestry’s efforts. Our website looks great and is updated when needed. As we try to personalize the shopping experience for users, having a working website’s essential. We don’t just ship products with an average note. Rather, we provide a cover note addressed to the customer that goes into each shipment for anyone who orders online.
How did Noticestry perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management’s fine. We’re both small companies, so communication’s fairly easy. We meet a couple of times a year at their offices when everyone who’s involved in our projects' meets. We communicate via email and text. If a matter’s urgent, I send an email and text both Brandon and Ryan. Whoever catches the message first, responds.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re enthusiastic about their work and clients. They’re responsive and happy to give input.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If there’s any room for improvement, it would be to have a process for responses. It’s not a consistent problem but sometimes I wait for a response for two days.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Bring them on board and consider their input. They’ll complete an assignment that’s handed to them. But they’re more enthusiastic when they’re involved.
