I’m the director of operations for The Kansas City Food Hub. We are a farmer-owned, farmer-run cooperative association, and we distribute local produce, meat, dairy, and eggs to the Kansas City region.

What challenge were you trying to address with No-Where Consultants?

We had a very outdated website, so we needed a company that could help us revamp our web presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the process by talking about what we needed for our website, what we had that we liked, and what we had that we wanted to be changed. After that, we went into the design phase with No-Where Consultants. This process took about eight weeks and four different sessions, where we sat with them to go over what we liked and didn't like about their design. 

We're currently in the process of migrating the new website to our new hosting platform, HostGator, and getting everything finalized.

We’ve worked with 5–6 people from No-Where Consultants.

How did you come to work with No-Where Consultants?

My predecessor got in contact with No-Where Consultants. We got some quotes from a few different website designers, and we ultimately chose No-Where Consultants. They were not the most expensive and not the cheapest, but we seemed to have a really good communicative relationship trying to finalize the agreement with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of the project is going to be just under $7,000.

We started working together in May 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

How did No-Where Consultants perform from a project management standpoint?

No-Where Consultants performed well in terms of project management. They’re really communicative, and they’ve kept us informed of everything that’s happening in the entire process. They’ve also delivered everything on time and within budget.

We typically communicate through email, phone calls, and Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciate how responsive and adaptive No-Where Consultants has been to the changes that we’ve made on the fly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was quite a lot of turnover at the beginning. We’ve actually had three different leads on our case, which has been challenging. Other than that, it's been a very pleasant experience, and we've enjoyed working with them.

We sought email marketing services for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

No-Where Consultants has done an upgrade of our website. The site has a space to input the visitor’s name and email; they have to click submit, and the information goes straight to Mailchimp.

For Facebook marketing, we initially discussed what we wanted to include. They’ve created landing pages. However, they’re just for when people click through on Facebook.

Overall, No-Where Consultants is in charge of email marketing. They’ve also designed some print newspaper ads as a collaborative effort between our teams. We circulated them in the area that we operate around, which has senior citizens.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with two people from their team: the owner and another person.

How did you come to work with No-Where Consultants?

I found them on Mailchimp; they were listed as advisors. I got in contact with them seeking their services.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent a little over $10,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration began in November 2020. We plan to keep working with them as long as we’re both in business. We need go-to tech and marketing people on our team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve gotten little response to our Zumba, fitness, and ballet body classes, but the landing page doesn’t send them to the homepage where people can sign up. Nonetheless, we’re satisfied with the design of the website and the campaign they did. They always help us if we can’t figure something out because it’s new to us.

How did No-Where Consultants perform from a project management standpoint?

They're quick to respond and great with deadlines. The team will leverage us if we’re willing to, but we haven’t figured out how since we decided not to take a lot of stuff online. We use Zoom and face-to-face meetings for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their pricing is competitive with other vendors in our area. Some of their services are about 10%–15% less expensive. Moreover, No-Where Consultants stands out for their accessibility; they respond to emails promptly.

Are there areas they could improve?

No, we like how they do their business.

The more you can convey about your own business, the more they can come up with ideas.

I’m the founder and principal of a digital marketing agency. We provide content, social media and email marketing, and strategy for our clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with No-Where Consultants?

Many clients come to us with website development needs, but we don’t provide that directly. We needed someone to provide technical solutions for our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with No-Where Consultants on more than one project. We’ve hired them directly for white-label work, but we’ve also referred them to our clients for marketing solutions. In the first instance, they come to us to build or repair a website. No-Where Consultants works with us — we interface with the client, and they interface with our team. For referrals, we confer with them about the client’s needs and spec them out. Then, we refer them to work directly with the client. All in all, we work in a team landscape to get the right solution for each project.

No-Where Consultants mostly uses WordPress. Additionally, they offer maintenance programs and set up industry standards for hosting, taking someone who offers affordable service and referring them. Once the client chooses who they want, the team goes ahead and sets up the technical aspects.

What is the team composition?

We only work with Larissa (CEO). We’ve been introduced to other teammates by email, but we haven’t worked directly with them.

How did you come to work with No-Where Consultants?

We shared a bunch of industry colleagues in the email space, so we met Larissa because we were in the same industry. We started a conversation one day, and it clicked from there. She was smart and technical, and I could tell that she did her job well.

We’ve spent between $5,000–$10,000.

We started working with them in September 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t refer other providers lightly because if things fall apart, not only do we have to clean up that mess, it also affects our relationship with the client. Since our business can get hurt if we refer the wrong partner, we’re very careful about who we refer. However, we never have concerns about letting No-Where Consultants talk to our clients. We don’t have to be in the meeting or be part of the call; they just give us an update when they’re done. We can’t put that level of trust with other vendors, but we have full confidence in No-Where Consultants’ ability to listen to the client, understand their needs, and consider the best interest for their business.

For example, we had one project with a particularly persnickety client. No-Where Consultants did an outstanding job picking up and taking the lead on the project to fulfill the contract. They had a better relationship with the client than our team. Overall, they have a high level of skill, and the team members understand the business side of the solutions, so the products are well-thought-out.

How did No-Where Consultants perform from a project management standpoint?

The deadlines and budget are more dependent on the clients than on them. However, they’ve met every expectation we’ve had for them. The team works well, and they solve any challenge that arises.

They have their own internal system, and we have ours, so we meet in the middle using Slack. Additionally, we communicate via Zoom, email, and telephone. We’ve only met in person one time because they’re in Missouri and we’re in the Boston area.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The level of expertise and technical skill they bring to the table at their price is astounding. Finding somebody with their level of experience would cost considerably more money. Their team is also US-based, so finding those developers in this area is rare.

Overall, they have a strong commitment to serve the partner and customers. When we work with a vendor, we usually get treated as a number because there’s a lot of referral business. However, we’ve never felt that with No-Where Consultants; they really value our partnership, and we’re happy with the results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should charge more. Clients can be difficult, and they should be compensated for that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should really understand what No-Where Consultants can bring to the table; the more you understand what they can do, the more you can leverage that to what works best for your relationship.
