Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a professional painting service.
What challenge were you trying to address with NexTekk, LLC?
We were looking for a business management portal to enable us to maintain control of our scheduling, data entry, cost tracking, and other administrative aspects.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When NexTekk came on board, I had a good idea of what I wanted. They didn’t have a lot of experience in our industry, but we were able to answer their investigative-type questions, so they could get a feel for what we were doing. Eventually, they fleshed out, from their perspective, the pieces and parts they needed to accomplish what we wanted.
The team built the administrative web platform, which gives us the ability to offer our subcontractors a view into the aspect of the portal that pertains to them. Things like schedule, money, past and future tasks, and other features. They used a few different technologies, including PHP.
What is the team composition?
I had direct contact with their managers, and worked with about 2-3 people at a time.
How did you come to work with NexTekk, LLC?
NexTekk was recommended to me by a friend.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $175,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our collaboration took place from January 2016–December 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve had an incredible impact on our business. Tasks that used to take several people several hours to complete are now automated. Their work saves us $50,000–$75,000 per year, and a lot of time. Plus, we have the ability to scale, which is really important to us.
How did NexTekk, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
The project was very well managed. NexTekk primarily uses Microsoft Teams, and all of our information and documentation was readily available any time we had questions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team was extremely responsive to our needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s not much they could improve upon. We’re pretty happy.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You really have to have your ideas clearly defined, so it makes the project easier for them. Have your workflows prepared and really understand what you want to accomplish.

For what projects/services did your company hire NexTekk LLC?
I contracted with NexTekk to update, enhance and revise my software that I had been using for the last 16 years. It was originally built in Visual Basic back in 2002 and worked well for our company but over time, we needed additional features and the support for the old technology was coming to an end. I worked directly with Tosin Adeladan to get this job accomplished. We had several online meetings and came up with the new concepts. Tosin put together a great finished product. He goes out of his way to provide additional support and help, if needed. My new software is now up-to-date, streamlined, easier to use and very efficient. I will definitely continue using NexTekk and I would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

To update and streamline the inspection software that we use daily.

NexTekk was referred to me by a software programmer who was unable to handle this project.

Updated my nearly 20 year old business software and database.
What was the team composition?
Primarily, I was working with Tosin Adeladan as a point of contact and he handled most of the work on this project.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The newer version of the software has allowed me to use my software on updated machines, newer versions of windows, etc. Also, it allows me to complete reports in less time and has streamlined my office work which is the least favorite part of my job.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Very efficient system from day one.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I found that NexTekk is truly in business to provide the best service possible and that they are concerned with making the client satisfied. They take time to listen to the client needs and they have realistic deadlines which helps with planning.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I really do not see any areas needed for improvement at this time. This company is hands-down the best that I've worked with.
The platform has enabled a degree of automation that’s saved the service a tremendous amount of time and between $50,000–$75,000 in spending per year. Throughout the engagement, NexTekk was extremely responsive, professional, and engaged with the project.
