Hiring the right people will make you go further and faster. Newizze got us there!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They know what they are doing. We came in with very little experience and they showed professionalism and a whole lot of initiative in project management. They provided us with specific mobile and desktop app to be able to reach one another (From the US to Russia), and they would be always quick to answer questions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their estimation are on point. Not a day late. There were a time during the project when we had to rush another small project on the side. They deployed another team to take care of the other project and finish all of it in time. Communication was really nice as well.

Even though we all come from different country (US, Russia & France), there wasn't a problem at all with technical terms, development, visions etc. Last but not least, very very friendly team. One of our founder even met with some of their member during a US trip for their expansion. Great memories!

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have no doubt they will go big. Newizze is friendly, communicative, efficient and very very very fairly price. The quality of their work is only surpassed by their punctuality to finish a job.

I contracted Newizze to assist me in building a new CRM for my company using Laravel. In addition to it being a contact management system, the software they helped me build is also a sophisticated project planner, job-costing software.

What were your goals for this project?

To replicate most of the desired functionality in our existing antiquated platform and create a much needed integration between it and our public-facing website. To find a reliable vendor that could facilitate our ever-changing development cycle and quickly adapt to new demands in scope.

How did you select this vendor?

I found Newizze first on Upwork when searching for a qualified Laravel developer that could work with Quickbooks API. From there, I hired them to do more and more aspects of the project until eventually I made them the lead developers.

Newizze provides us with project management, database engineering, and front- and backend development on nearly every single aspect of our project.

What was the team composition?

The team I work with is primarily comprised of Kirril my project manager, Vlad, my lead developer, Sergey, a frontend developer, Valentin, a frontend designer and Tom, the CTO.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The completion of this project will make our employees' lives so much easier. Customer communication will improve dramatically and data entry will become a thing of the past in our business process, which will save us millions of dollars.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Newizze has been extremely easy to work with. My project manager Kirill accommodates my hours and makes himself accessible during my normal working hours. Project initiatives get completed in a timely fashion and communication is excellent.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I think what I'm most impressed about is that I routinely come up with extremely hard functionalities and complicated instructions on how to develop the applications in English, and even though the development team is Russian their communication is so good that things rarely (if ever) get lost in translation.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think eventually using their own project portal software instead of Jira would be more useful for clients. The ability to pay them via wire transfer directly instead of through a 3rd party like Upwork would be ideal.

We are an e-commerce company with some brick and mortar retail stores that sells medical supplies. I’m the vice president of e-commerce and am in charge of the online portion of our business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Newizze LLC?

Our company has been around for over 30 years and we struggled to build an online presence. I was brought in to build the e-commerce side of our business and needed more high-level developers than the ones we were working with.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The scope of the work changes from month to month. Originally, they helped us develop our website and resolve issues and bugs left behind from our previous developer. They fixed everything and we now do customization work with them. They partition PSDs and create new pages, work with our data files in Google’s Merchant Center, and do a variety of other projects. The site itself is built on Magento with a WordPress blog.

What is the team composition?

We originally worked with the owner and one of his partners. The partner was our direct point of contact for about a year and a half. They’ve recently grown and have added frontend and backend developers to our team. There is also an individual that manages usability and testing.

How did you come to work with Newizze LLC?

We looked on Upwork and found one of the owners and founders of Newizze. We started working with them and eventually put them on a monthly retainer.

We’ve spent about $175,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around April 2015. It’s an ongoing relationship.

It’s been great working with them. They have a good rapport with our other developers in the U.S. We all collaborate together on some of our custom projects. They’re always ready and willing to work with us and the relationship has only gotten better as they’ve grown.

How did Newizze LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They manage everything very well. We had some minor language barriers at the beginning, but I only really have contact with our project manager now. He understands what I want and makes sure all the developers and other team members do too. We communicate on a daily basis via Skype and email and keep track of all of our projects in Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re easy to work with and always willing to find the answer to a problem, even if it’s outside of their scope. They’re a good team and always deliver solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They struggled a little a year or so ago, but have improved since bringing in extra developers. We have more specialists working on our projects and more people to check the work. We have very few problems now.

I'm the co-owner of an e-commerce company. We sell furniture from multiple online stores to customers across Europe. The main countries we operate in are Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, and Belgium.

We were looking for a dedicated partner who could provide basic development and create custom products from scratch

What was the scope of their involvement?

Newizze has created payment solutions for our large clients to request quotes for furniture orders. Usually, customers who visit our online store use their credit cards to pay. Unlike most comparable sites, offline orders also include a payment link. 

The lead developer helps us consider the most logical ways to develop our product and indicates which features make sense to include. Newizze mostly programs the site in PHP and HTML. They produced several custom features for our product pages. After conducting A/B testing, they implement the most effective ones. Notably useful ones include sticky menus and scrolling locks that stop the page on a specific product. Listings include details like prices so users can compare options. 

Over the last 6-7 months, we’ve been migrating from Magento 1.0 to 2.0 and made several improvements to the platform. They set up email templates, created brand-new homepages and checkouts, and connections for DHL and other APIs.  We have numerous stores and sites in many different languages, so this process has been very time-consuming. We're almost done at this point.

What is the team composition?

We have direct communication with our dedicated team from Newizze. Most often, we work with the lead developer and our project manager. I was in close contact with the owner, as well.

I found Newizze on Upwork. We started out working with multiple companies but eventually decided only to use them.

We spent around €200,000 ($231,525). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together for more than three years now. Newizze is our development team of choice.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our site speed is considerably faster. Newizze delivered everything we told them to create. Our conversion rates have gone up due to several factors.  We’ve worked with Newizze for a while and are one of their biggest clients. After somewhat of a rough start, they provided a strong team in the end. 

I appreciated Newizze's accommodation when I asked them to add a developer to our project. They had one available the next day. Their resources are quite skilled, so we make sure to provide sufficient work. 

How did Newizze LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We collaboratively managed the project. Using Jira, we generate tasks for the project manager to examine and discuss with us. We work very closely together, and they really feel like members of our team. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Being able to work closely with the lead developer has been very effective for our company. Newizze has a thorough understanding of both the technical and the commercial aspects of our project. They offer the whole package. Combined with our extensive knowledge base in-house, we work very well together. If something should be adjusted, we can send it directly through Jira, and our project manager gets notified.

Language is always a small barrier, but that's a skill both of us can improve.
