A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at a training company for students and parents.
What challenge were you trying to address with Netkodo?
We hired Netkodo to help us with website development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Netkodo designed and developed our website from scratch. Although the site is now done, they’re currently providing maintenance services.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with a project manager.
How did you come to work with Netkodo?
I found Netkodo through a Google search, and one of my colleagues also recommended them to me. I knew Netkodo would be good at site development.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement began in January 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Netkodo has helped us a lot — the new site has helped facilitate cooperation with our customers.
How did Netkodo perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team always has deliverables ready on time, even if we only have a one-week timeline. We communicate with Netkodo through email and phone calls, but the method depends on the project. If we have a project ongoing, we are in contact with them more often.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’ve had a good engagement with Netkodo.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have nothing for them to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a shareholder of Aktualny Odpis, which allows users to access enterprises and related business information from two different sources we unite in one place.
What challenge were you trying to address with Netkodo?
We needed some programming work complete.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We're currently working on our fifth project with Netkodo. They've helped us develop our website and support our mobile applications. Whenever something breaks, or there is an error, Netkodo comes on board to rectify it.
What is the team composition?
We're in direct contact with a project manager, but we work closely with Netkodo's developers.
How did you come to work with Netkodo?
I'm not quite sure how we first found them because our partnership has been going on for so long, but I am from the same place that Netkodo is based. That locational similarity has played a role in our retention of their services.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested around $300,000–$350,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Netkodo in 2012, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I'm not sure this can be attributed to Netkodo's work, but we've gotten a lot of entries on the websites Netkodo has built for us. The biggest testament to their success is our satisfaction with their work and the lack of errors.
How did Netkodo perform from a project management standpoint?
Netkodo's developers utilize an app to provide project updates, and we can communicate directly with them through the same software; they used to use Redmine. We also occasionally communicate through email or SMS messages. Their smooth, quick communication makes the entire development process easy. They're pretty good at following our budget and deadlines, and if there are ever delays, it is because we've requested additional work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Netkodo can quickly deliver to the client's needs — they can determine precisely what a client needs and make sure their work meets each project requirement.
Are there any areas they could improve?
For the number of employees they have right now covering projects, they're quite busy. However, I think this is very true of all businesses right now.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I've been working with Netkodo for a long time, and I'd completely recommend Netkodo.

Web Dev for Online Furniture & Home Decor Retail Shop
"Netkodo showed up with a highly competitive background and price point."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an online retailer of furniture and home decor products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Netkodo?
We hired Netkodo to develop our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Netkodo built our online shopping website from scratch using Ruby on Rails. They developed the first version of it several years ago, so when we decided we needed to rebuild it, we brought them in again. We provided them with guidelines and requirements, and they went on to create a site map that we could add to or remove things from. Once we arrived at a version that matched our needs, their team implemented the whole structure.
Their team also helped build a backend that could support the management and processing of product orders as well as take on mass uploads of product-related content and information. Netkodo oversaw the integration of EDIs, APIs, and other third-party tools.
We have an in-house team that oversees the design, but Netkodo does some of the work as well. From time to time, they did A/B testing on the interface to see what elements could be improved. They even managed our server and conducted site updates as well.
What is the team composition?
They had around 10 senior developers, junior developers, and graphic designers who were led by a dedicated project manager.
How did you come to work with Netkodo?
I found Netkodo online.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $200,000–$500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first engaged the team in 2014. Our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve experienced over 100% growth every year since the website’s inception, which I think speaks to the quality of Netkodo’s work.
How did Netkodo perform from a project management standpoint?
We don’t set a strict budget, but we try to stay within a range on a monthly basis. Netkodo has been able to keep within those limits.
They use a couple of different platforms to manage the project and we meet on a bi-weekly basis to go over our progress. Everything is fairly organized. We typically communicate via Google Chat, Skype, Slack, phone calls, and emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The whole project experience and execution was a standout for us. In a time when I was finding it difficult to find local developers in my area, Netkodo showed up with a highly competitive background and price point.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only downside we’ve run into is the seven-hour time difference between us. When we encounter issues during our typical business hours, they’re likely asleep. It would help if they had someone who was available in our time zone. Other than that, though, I haven't had any major issues with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Openly communicate with the Netkodo team. One of the best practices I’ve learned is to have everything mapped out exactly the way you want it prior to engaging a development team.

Software Development for Nonprofit Association
“I’ve never worked with a more reliable team.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the CEO of a nonprofit software development company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Netkodo?
We were looking for development help on an application we created.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Netkodo provided software development services. The team worked in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript to build our application, which allows teenagers to find temporary work so they can learn how to integrate themselves into the workforce. The team works in two to three-week sprints, implementing new features to the app.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 2–3 members of the Netkodo team.
How did you come to work with Netkodo?
Our CTO is based in the same city as Netkodo, so he connected our companies.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement with Netkodo began in April 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The application functions successfully and its performance has increased since working with Netkodo. Their optimization of the platform means it puts much less stress on the servers than the previous version.
How did Netkodo perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a great job managing the project. Netkodo hit every deadline and communicated effectively. They really take part in thinking about how to best approach things, offering suggestions beyond what we asked of them. It was very helpful. I’ve never worked with a more reliable team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Netkodo is flexible and focused. They’re a talented development team, they’re great at what they do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’re happy and will continue to work with them for the foreseeable future.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you need Ruby on Rails development, Netkodo is the place to go. The process works best if you give them specific requirements.
The site Netkodo developed has facilitated collaboration between the client and their customers. Their team always delivers on time, no matter how short a project timeline is. The partners communicate through phone calls and emails; communication frequency and type depend on a project’s status.
