What challenge were you trying to address with Net Reputation?
I began my business as a result of a public relations scandal. There were negative articles circulating on Google, and I needed reputation management services to navigate the volume and suppress some negative remarks online.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Net Reputation has been very thorough in explaining feasible solutions for removing a great deal of inaccurate information online and addressing negative postings or articles within social media and Google. They’ve created a comprehensive report of the current status of the negative articles online and suggestions for ways the project could go.

They’ve also performed an analysis of the specific keywords that may be associated with or negatively impact my name and company. After that, Net Reputation has built a strategy focused on addressing my main issue as opposed to just creating some broad-reach effort.

After doing their due diligence, Net Reputation has created a website that would become a pillar of information about me. We’ve worked collaboratively on the site’s content. They’ve designed and developed the site and leveraged it to create an SEO strategy that utilized site photos, content, and backlinks to address the client’s issue with negative information.

After that, they’ve created about 19 different locations within the internet which allows for information to be distributed from my new website to those locations. They’ve also established various social media locations as well. All these are part of their distribution strategy so that our Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn channels are very much aligned and populated with the same information.

Additionally, they’ve led three advertising campaigns for us. They’ve done a fantastic job in developing, distributing, and helping content about us get picked up by various media outlets. They’ve created blog content as well.

I’ve worked with five people from Net Reputation, including my initial point of contact, someone who leads the team, a creative person, a reputation strategist, and a content person.

How did you come to work with Net Reputation?
I found Net Reputation through a Google search. The fact that they had such high ratings on Google and Clutch helped with my decision to choose them, but their accurate understanding of the scope of work was exactly what I was looking for and what sealed the deal.

I’ve spent around $6,000 on this project so far.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve seen remarkable improvements in the visibility of the negative remarks online. When we began the project, there were 7–10 negative articles that populated the first and second pages of my Google search. Now, there are only two left on the first page and another three on the second page.

Aside from that, there has also been a significant growth in the number of articles they’ve developed about me across all channels, including Google, Bing, Yahoo, and social media, which is incredibly impressive.

I originally only signed on for a three-month contract, but realizing that the long-term effect of their support for my company will be positive and much bigger, I have decided to sign off on a year’s contract with them. They’ve delivered great results consistently since then.

How did Net Reputation perform from a project management standpoint?
Net Reputation’s project management has been very consistent and timely. They regularly provide performance metrics of where we were and where we are today in the project. Most importantly, our engagement is a team effort. I provide them with content that they can leverage in their work, and so far, they have been very receptive to my input. I can provide them with content, and they will have it published by the next day.

We meet in person every month. They’re still highly communicative between those meetings, and I speak to them 2–3 times in between meetings.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I would like to give a shout-out to their reputation strategist, who has been my main point of contact throughout this project. He has been a great resource for all of the details I need.

What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with Net Reputation’s consistency. They’ve shown a high level of consistency from the very beginning, and that has been one of the most outstanding parts of working with them. They always know where the project is, where it has been, and where it’s going, which leads to a transparent, structured workflow.

Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if they had access to greater technological resources or tools to speed up the process and help us see results more quickly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I encourage anyone to realize that this does not produce instantaneous results — it will take time. I would also recommend educating yourself about the process, providing them with relevant content to work with, and being as engaged and communicative as possible.

I have had ongoing issues with identity theft issues corresponding to primarily police report records from 25 years ago. For example, my information on some websites show me being arrested in the state of Michigan. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO MICHIGAN IN MY LIFE; HOWEVER, SOMEONE USED MY SENSITIVE INFORMATION (DATE OF BIRTH LICENSE ETC). I contacted the Michigan State Police and ran a paid statewide background search that shows of course NO ARRESTED RECORDS. 

Now primarily Bing search still shows the fraudulent information along with many others. Some records show me as incarcerated for twelve DUI's. There are dozens of counties throughout the US that have sometimes 20 plus juristictions. It is been impossible for me to make nearly 100 phone calls to clear my record. This is why I have used Netreputation for several years to help me with various extortion sites.

NetReputation created 20+ online assets for me in the form of a personal website, social media sites, and articles to amplify my positive online presence and push down negative content. 

We had a variety of meetings throughout the campaign, explained everything step by step, and told me what their plan and strategy were for the campaign. They also gave me a monthly report on the progress of the campaign.

• Pushed the negative content down significantly. Negative content started at the fourth link on the first page, and the NetReputation team managed to push the negative content down all the way to the middle of the second page and I anticipate it'll get pushed down further to page three by the end of the campaign which would make me very happy.

Net Reputation has performed well in terms of project management. They’re very prompt in responding — whenever I need something, I can just send them an email and they would get back to me very quickly.

I’ve encountered a lot of service providers that overpromised but underdelivered. However, this has not been the case with Net Reputation — they’re excellent at setting and managing expectations, and they always do what they say they will. Make sure that you understand how these kinds of projects work. This type of transaction is a long, drawn-out process — you can’t just expect great results immediately, so make sure that you manage your expectations and that you understand the timeframe of how things work.

I was very impressed by their professionalism, compassion, responsiveness, and well thought out strategy. This project began with an interview and analysis session. They set expectations that ultimately proved to be realistic and which their work exceeded. The content they produced was well structured and compellingly written and their industry vehicles were impactful as promised.

For some, a damaged online reputation may be the result of a malicious actor or an indelible mark from a regrettable past. As a result, it can carry a deep emotional component. My experience with Net Reputation was that they understood and were truly compassionate to this. They worked as hard for you to repair as you are for yourself.

Tony was our point of contact and we found him highly accessible at every stage of the project. Trey managed our Google review take down. Within days,

1. The first fraudulent and defamatory review was removed.
2. He continues to work on another review that posted one star with no accompanying words by the same individual.

This review is taking longer to remove. David worked on the negative site push down. Immediately he recognized the site was using an unethical means of acquiring high Google positioning. Within days of alerting Google to the same, the site was pushed to page two.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Two negative Google reviews (both left by one person):

1. The fraudulent and defamatory review was down within a few days.
2. The review that had no content, simply one star is still up.

Apparently, no content reviews are harder to get removed. However, the fraudulent review was the most damaging to the business. We're very happy that the untrue and damaging information is gone.

One negative website: Within two weeks of taking over the online reputation management, the negative site went from position #3 to position #14, and continues to go down. David brought to our attention other issues which he promptly dealt with as well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Tony, Trey, and David shared an open line of communication throughout the project. Tony responded to calls and texts almost instantaneously. Net Reputation's time zone was three hours ahead of ours.

But that didn't preclude Tony from picking up the phone when he was out on a Friday night at 6:30pm. This is exactly what we needed when our business was under attack. I'm totally grateful to him for such responsiveness and dedication.

They used a combination of SEO techniques and leveraged partnerships they hold with high authority domains within Google search results, to achieve this. They also improved our company's web reputation.

They have a team of very helpful salespeople & highly skilled online reputation management specialists. We're very impressed by their cost-effective service, dedication, and timely service.

As per above, they were able to get rid of the negative content successfully and this has resulted in higher volumes of prospects reaching out to us.

All team members we've dealt with were prompt to return emails & phone calls. They are very accessible and transparent, they took their time to explain the whole process, and gave frequent progress updates. All of our expectations have been exceeded.

Their extensive experience and competency were impressive and have brought in great results. I was impressed that after working together, we saw better results in a matter of weeks rather than waiting several months to see them.
